Situated in the old town of Haarlem it is well located in the shopping streets where cars don’t enter only deliveries. A short walk to Teylers museum, St Bavos and the canal. Lots of cafes nearby and supermarkets too. 20min walk from the station with luggage to wheel. Our suite 9 was at the top of a traditional Dutch gabled building. It was over 2 levels with a quaint set of stairs/ladder to reach the bedroom. Bed was very comfortable, we slept well. It could get warm in the summer but there is good cross ventilation. It was spacious and well equipped with cooking and clothes washing facilities. A roomy bar fridge for food and drinks. A welcome bottle of wine helped us relax in the cosy comfortable living area.

Nothing to dislike. Typical Dutch stairs which are a work out but staff assisted with suitcases on arrival and departure

The room we had was so spacious. It had a seperate living room and and large sleeping area. We also loved the little balcony. The room also had dishes, glasses and cutlery which was nice since we were able to enjoy a glass of wine and some snacks out on our balcony. Also want to shoutout to the staff , they were so helpful and kind. the location of ths place is also great, close to so many shops and restaurants and so close to the canals. My only causion is the steps to get up the room is steep, so please keep that in mind as there are no elevators.

I actually didn't mind this at all, but we were so close to the church that you can hear the bell rings. some people may find this too noisy but I thought it was lovely.

From the moment we checked in The reception was so kind and helpful. Beautiful room, history, character all in one. Cozy and spacious with a full kitchen... Exceeded our expectations. Loved the decor. Perfect location it was in the heart of everything. You can walk less than 2 mins away to the main square. So many restaurants and little bars around us. So quiet even though it is in the heart of it all. The shutters at night were old historical ones and kept that room sound proof.

The smell in the stairwell going up to the room definitely was less than... Like raw sewage

Superb place to stay and explore Haarlem. Spacious, light, bright & clean. Comfortable bed, sofa and eating area. Convenient, walkable location. Interesting shops and restaurants line the streets in all directions. 5 minutes to main square. All staff members were friendly and helpful. They even carried up our bags upon arrival. A lovely perk since our apartment, Hotelsuite Kleine Hout IV, was on the top floor. Haarlem is a wonderful city. We used Haarlem as our final base before heading to Schiphol airport. The direct bus was a 7-minute walk from the hotel.

Great location is the center of Haarlem near lots of great shopping and restaurants. Our room had lots of great space with a separate living space from the bedroom. Amenities within the room were great and comprehensive. We loved staying here versus in downtown Amsterdam as Haarlem has all the amenities, but without the busyness and tourists of Amsterdam. Also very easy to get to from the airport, as well as easy to get to/from Amsterdam.

The only downside for us was that a couple of the nights we were there (Thursday and Saturday) there as loud music from about 10pm to midnight that made it very difficult to sleep. There was a bar/club immediately below the unit that we think might have been the reason for the noise.

Location was in the middle of very walk-able district. Shops, restaurants and services were readily available. Easy and enjoyable walking experience walking in the immediate and outlying neighborhood. The rooftop view from the apartment had character. The staff were very helpful and understanding.

The church bells sounding throughout the day and night, became annoying. The ceiling being low in some areas was a challenge. We had an issue with the shower leaking on to the bathroom floor, but i was able to correct this issue by taking apart the drain and clearing the trap. Some fool was setting off what sounded like a quarter stick of dynamite a couple of nights in a row, at about 3 to 4 am, was more than a little annoying.

The location was excellent - so close to the town centre,, restaurants and shopping. The apartment was spacious and the kitchen well stocked with small appliances, dishes and utensils. The bed, comforter and pillows were all very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower was excellent. All in all we had a very comfortable stay.

The lighting was dim at the landing which made it difficult to find the keyhole,. There was a motion sensor for the light but it did not always work.

A gorgeous apartment situated in the heart of the centre, surrounded by great restaurants and cafes. Lovely decor and so spacious. The king-size bed was so comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. The lady on reception was lovely and helpful. Will happily be staying here again next visit

The stairs to the apartment are steep, so be mindful of this if you have mobility issues, heavy luggage I would have liked a toaster in the kitchen.

Very friendly and helpful staff, who contacted us prior to arrival and gave us useful information when our train was delayed. Once at the place we were given lots of tips about the city. The suite had plenty of space and with the bedroom at the back, it was easy to sleep even though the front of the suite overlooked a pedestrian street.

As they say in their own information, the stairs are steep. Not a problem for us but worth mentioning if you have mobility issues.

Can be quite noisy due to street location and was very warm in living room. Window really hard to open and no air flow so stuffy. Rug in living room was dirty could feel bits under feet so I kept my shoes on, furniture with large stains just a bit worn, not a great look or as advertised. Stairs are very steep you need to be agile and able for them.
