The lovely setting, comfortable beds, clean as, the studio we booked was so well equipped, great shower, they even let us check in earlier, were friendly and helpful. Most importantly we were able to take our dog with us, plenty of places to walk him at the property. Handy to town. Will certainly be back if ever in Hawera again.

The only fault my partner could find fault with, was the electrical cord was very short to plug in, from toaster to the wall plug, which to me is really not worth mentioning.

3 weeks on what I most remember was the lovely lady at reception, it was lovely to talk to her. The cabin was great, really liked the ramp, my husband has a bad back and doesn't like steps so it worked for us. But it was spacious and airy and though there was no aircon but they provided a big fan which was great because it was unexpectedly humid. Loved the fact that the motel is part of a working farm and you can see the animals. It was a short drive to town and all amenities.

Bed configuration in our room was a bit awkward due to the shape of the room, one side was pushed up against the wall, I ended up sleeping in the spare bed so I wouldn't have to clamber out. Just something to be aware of if you are less mobile.

Unfortunately cloud covered prevented us seeing the mountain. The town near by is very small, but has everything you need. The property is fairly simple in its standards, but clean. We did find a few spiders in our beds, but I guess that comes with living in the country. There were also coin operated laundry facilities but no spa, that has been removed, but I think we read somewhere that it was available.

The hotspot internet is pretty average. It was very windy when we stayed, making the doors very rattley. The sensor lights were very bright outside and I think were set off by birds/wind, so perhaps better blockout curtains would be helpful.

We had a good stay. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was supplied. Clean towels daily, clean sheets, it was very clean overall.

The smoke alarm went off for no reason at 3am on our first night which I’m sure was not the owners fault. The second night, the unit next to us had several dogs in their vehicle and outside, one yelped constantly through the night effecting my son’s sleep as he was closest to the noise. Other than these two things all else was satisfactory.

this was the first motel where you could sit outside and enjoy a beautiful view and garden, no cars! Amazing. Most motels you sit outside with all the cars around you a big concrete slab. the 2 bedroom appartment was huge and really wonderful.

everything was good, except the roadworks, but they can't help that of course. Also, you're out in a remote area.

This is a very special location with views across fields to Mt Taranaki. No city scapes here! The room was large, very comfy and warm. Large bathroom also. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for a longer stay. The Manager contacted us the day of our arrival which was nice. Very accommodating owner. We would recommend Kerry Lane, so long as you don't need to be in town.

I loved that you felt at home with all the chickens and sheep..was a very pretty place to stay for a few days ..the staff very friendly and accommodating and pointed us in the right direction for a great day out ..

Would have liked paper towels or tissues in the unit ..walls are a bit paper thin ,could hear the guy snoring next door,he actually woke us up..though I don’t think this happens a lot …and better pillows ..

My grandchildren enjoyed the horses and the beautiful personalities of the dogs. It's different to other motel stays because of the animals. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they made us feel so welcome, when we go to Hawera again, I am going to book there again. Thankyou so much for having us and there were a lot of us. I booked two apartments they suited our large family.

Only one thing, no lock on the bathroom door.

Beautiful Motel, comfy beds, good shower. Parking easy, they gave extra towels, lovely grassed area to sit and eat at. Lots of animals to look at, plus the spectacular view of the volcano. Staff were excellent.

Only stayed one night, would love to have stayed longer.

The units formed a delightful little "village". It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The host was very friendly when we checked in. There were chickens nearby and it was lovely to see a mother hen wandering about with her babies.

Couldn't really fault the place!
