Having a single room after staying a few weeks in dorms was a nice change. It's close to the trailhead for Mt taranaki. The room is rather small with one of those dated sinks that make it hard to wash your hands. The bed was comfortable. There is a small kitchen and a few bathrooms that weren't too busy because besides myself there were only a few people staying there at that time. I could see how that could be an issue if it were full. There is a nice cafe across the street

It was an interesting experience to stay in a historical building. The overall vintage vibe was so awesome. The place was clean, comfy and it was so convenient as it is right in the town centre of Inglewood. You can even see Mt Taranaki from the room window! How awesome is that!

It would be slightly helpful if there is a lift for elderly or travellers with heavy luggages. There was an elderly lady had some difficulty climbing up and down the stairs due to her knee condition.

Even though the hotel is old, it seems well mentained. Our room was very clean. We also got everything we needed. Plenty of clean towels, tissue, and soap are provided, no shampoo. There's a grocery store nearby which is a plus. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The walls are thin so we can hear when there are people talking outside or in the next room, also the toilet room doesn't have an exhaust.

very genuinely helpful & friendly host, wed locked ourselves out of our room accidentally, he was not at the property at the time but quickly came to our aid at 10:30pm at night no fuss & helped us get back in which was much appreciated! Room, bathrooms & kitchen were very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend staying

Needed more than 1 towel for 2 nights stay but didnt know where to find one

The house is older but is up kept with lots of love. My room had a sink in it which was really nice, otherwise it was a very small room with a bed but just enough for me for an overnight stay. There is a common kitchen area and lounge, and two shared bathroom areas. The car park is in the back and you have to walk all the way around to go in and out of the front door to the car park, which isn't too bad but something to consider for mobility limitations or if you have a lot to carry to your room. There is a pub and a restaurant on the bottom floor and the accomodations are on the second floor accessed by stairs inside. I enjoyed my stay here and found it very pleasant. The price was higher than I would have expected but closer to fair than others I looked at in the area.

Enjoyed car boot sunday market, Windsor cafe coffees and breakast and back country ride to Opunake. The easy return trip to New Plymouth a bonus. Especially loved the deep bath tubs and three bathroom option. Locals friendly and helpful. Grateful for available front of house safe parking.

Interested in the legends history and sites of interest in Inglewood; not a dislike.

Our king bed room was spacious and clean. A short walk down the corridor to 3 large bathrooms that were well presented with chandeliers and clawfoot baths and showers. Plenty of fresh linen. Shared kitchenette for making tea and coffee. Very impressed with our short stay here.

It was very clean. The bath tub is amazing. The beds are very comfortable.

The restaurant was not open but ok as other places close by. There was no milk available in the morning for coffee or breakfast. I didn't contact Mike in regards to this but I'm sure he would have rectified it quickly.

The super clean modernised freshly renovated room and en suite were testimony that you should never judge a book by its cover. This white oblong antique building represents its age as does the rich historical first floor containing the restaurant bar and fabulous staircase to the upper guest suites which leap straight into the 2020s. The towels are fluffy and white. The shower one of the nicest in NZ and the bed comfy and everything a s very clean.

The cleaning oroducts used are a little overpowering. Something without perfume would be better and prevent sinus.

I had the impression that the room had a kitchenette. It didn’t… the kitchenette was a shared one and could really have done with a stove or a wee oven. But I understand that they prefer people use the restaurant downstairs so fair enough
