Bread for toast, spreads and fruit and cereal provided. Quality tea coffee and fresh milk. Huge space to enjoy and relax. Lovely and clean. Great bed and shower. Neil and Rae were friendly and provided lots of information during our stay.

Not really a dislike. Kitchen facilities are limited to a microwave, kettle and toaster. Simple crockery and cutlery. This is common to accommodation in New Zealand. If being able to cook a meal is important to you, check what the actual "kitchenette" contains. It is however easy to find food close to the apartment to heat up or a short drive to restaurants and cafes.

Large spacious 2 bed apartment on ground level with owners living on upper level. The photos were very accurate. The shower was excellent with good pressure. We were supplied with home made bread during our stay which was delicious, and joy of joys there was real coffee and a plunger. Quick 4 min drive to nearest supermaket and 10 mins to town centre

Although we did not require it, it was surprising that there were no cooking facilities, given the size of the accomodation, although a toaster and microwave were supplied. So preparing a cooked meal was not an option.

Breakfast was amazing, home made bread and jam, yoghurt and cereals also available and Rae had added home baked slices for morning tea which was a wonderful surprise. Such a private, quiet and serene place with immaculate gardens and covered area with spa. The bird calls were near and a wood pigeon seen which was special too. It seemed easy to forget we were only minutes drive from the city. Neil and Rae gave true NZ hospitality and it was surely our pleasure to meet them. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for the Kiwi experience. PS I am a Kiwi and was road tripping with my Swiss friends.

We really enjoyed the location, space and comfort that you offered and this really set the atmosphere for our two nights in New Plymouth - what a great break! Loved the homemade bread, biscuits and treats in the fridge...such delicious extras! A soak in the spa was just what we needed after a day of travelling. So easy to get into town and back from your location too - couldn't have asked for a better place to stay :).

Hosts on arrival were extremely friendly and helpful. We were offered additional allowances for extra people and a comprehensive overview of directions for travelling to Te Matatini. Ray and Neil also kindly prepared home made bread (delicious!) with snacks and breakfast for the next morning. Very kind people :) Definitely recommend to all travellers.

Breakfast was supplied, which we had forgotten about, cos I had booked for the hot tub. Breakfast supplies were perfect for us, with the added touches of fresh hot baked bread and home baking of apricot slices to have with our cup tea. We were there for a 4-day golf tournament so we were gone early most mornings and came home to soak in the hot tub after 36holes of golf each day...was bliss. Also our Host was a golfer and had a 6hole putting green in the back yard, which although we never had time, was available to us to practice on. The bed/mattress was amazingly comfortable, slept like a baby. The proximity to the New plymouth city was great, 7mins by Uber....we dined out everynight.

Neil & Rae were wonderful hosts, so welcoming and friendly, offering local knowledge on nearby walks and restaurants. Rae's baking really was a special touch and much appreciated! The two bedroom accommodation was superb, lots of space and well appointed, clean and tidy. The beds were extra comfortable and the sheets were luxurious. Very comfortable stay, would definitely recommend to others!

It’s a great place to stay. It was the best experience staying there. Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained. Host was extremely friendly. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. I loved the ambience I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again.

We enjoyed our stay and was welcomed by Neil.Lovely quiet location in Merrilands.Rae had kindly made sweet treats and yummy home made bread.Tavern (great food)gas and supermarket around the corner.We enjoyed our experience at Neil’s and Rae’s and hope to visit again one day.

Beautiful property with views over New Plymouth. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Use of spa pool is great! Loved Rae’s home made bread and breakfast being provided made life easy. Especially loved Cookie, the dog!
