Great welcome for the lady receptionist. Apartment (308) was very clean and comfortable, even the balcony chairs outside were very clean. Great layout and amenities with a lot of natural light. Large bathroom and a huge vanity and space. Parking on premises but one can easily walk to nearby shops. Very short walk to the coastal walkway and we would definitively recommend a short drive for a swim at the Black Beach (Centennial Park) . That was a highlight of the visit.

Really friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. We were on the second floor, the room was well set out with a kitchen including a dishwasher and Coffee pod machine. The room was spotless with a good shower and king size bed. Ample assortment of different hot drink sachets including good quality tea and coffee. The hotel is an easy walk to town or the beach and has a great car park which is safe which meant we could leave the car and walk everywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely stay again when in town. Book ahead and you will get a great deal, you won’t be disappointed. Book the upper levels and you can also enjoy a small balcony. There is a lift for those who find stairs challenging.

Nothing we did not like. Exceptional staff which includes the fabulous cleaner’s who do a great job.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to shopping center, restaurants, bars and cafes. The room was clean, and even the next day, when we went out for breakfast and returned, the cleaning fairies had been and gone, the bed was made, bathroom cleaned, fresh towels and although this is standard at motels, all the stuff we had left on the bed (not expecting the cleaners to have visited while we were gone so early) was just where we left them.

To be honest, there was nothing I didn't like, but since you asked, I was a little disappointed that our room appears to be the only room in the complex without a balcony, although this is possibly price reflective, so anyway, we will definitely stay again when next visiting New Plymouth.

Everything! Location, room, clean and tidy, had everything we needed, bed was comfortable, staff were lovely.

There was a slight damp odour in our room but once we opened the door and let some fresh air into the room the odour was gone, but we did notice it was still there when we would leave for the day and come back to the room, unsure what was causing it but it wasn’t something that bothered us too much as we loved everything else.

We had a balcony room on level 3 which faced the street. It’s a contemporary hotel , spacious room, excellent bathroom & kitchenette. Everything worked and finishes were immaculate. Friendly staff. The lift was being serviced, so had to carry luggage upstairs. However they did offer to do this for us. Dined for dinner at Ninja Sushi sake bar & at Fredrics (pub) Restaurant . Great breakfast at Monica’s Eatery. All easy walking from the hotel.

There are a block of rooms facing the carpark courtyard. Their outlook would be a bit bland for my taste.

When we arrived at the motel, our bed arrangements were not correct (we had requested two single beds but there was a double in the room), however the staff were so efficient in changing the beds for us with a smile on their faces! The room was very spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful at all times. The facilities in the room were neat, tidy, clean, and easy to use. I would recommend this motel to my family and friends, and would love to stay there again if in the area. Thank you for a great stay :)

Location was perfect! Close proximity to everything and all within walking distance. Very spacious and clean Staff were simply amazing! Professional, kind, cheerful, organised and nothing was too much love for a problem. Rooms beautifully designed and you had everything you needed.

Our neighbours, they played music 🎶 for hours with a loud base that travelled. Reception was fabulous and called them straight away. Sadly the neighbours waited a few more hours and around midnight started again. Didn’t want to wake anyone so we put up with it.

Location was excellent. Easy walk to the waterfront and to the local Mall. Only 1 street away from the main eateries and restaurants. Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff were great, easy to communicate with. Parking was onsite and free.

It has the look and feel of a hotel, unfortunately does not have pool, or spa facilities. Found that rates were a little high considering limited facility. Minor details such as bathroom cleanliness, toilet roll holder was coming off the wall, and bedding (the flat sheet was missed), would increase the scores.

Great location in the CBD, very clean room, comfortable beds, and friendly informative staff.

Not a dislike, but as the Metrotel clearly states, while they have plenty of parking; it is on a first-come-first serve basis. I returned to my room late one night and there were no available parks at the motel. However, the motel was full and there were/are plenty of on street parks available.

Comfortable bed. Great shower and cooking facilities. Central location. Decent parking - although I had to part in the overflow car park 1 night. I would book again.

Tea and coffee provided but no milk which seems miserly considering the room rates. Some light switches in my room were grubby and could do with a clean. Bit noisy with traffic but to be expected on the main road.
