Very close to town, far enough away to not be in the hustle and bustle but close enough to just pop down the supermarket. The room was exactly what we wanted. I read some reviews before we stayed and most were positive. I recall someone had commented that the spa bath was too small - but I found it to be perfect!! Our room was very warm, had all the things we needed for a two night stay (mini kitchen was well equipped) and we loved the single seater couches - they were really comfy. We will definately stay again.

There wasn't anything I didn't like - an excellent stay for a weekend getaway.

Very good location

No iron or ironing board in the room…I have stayed there for many years and there was always an iron and board in the wardrobe along with a small sewing kit. Office is supposed to be open from 7.30am until 9pm but nobody in reception at 6pm when I discovered the missing items and no one answered the numbers on the locked door. When I asked about the iron etc I was asked if I requested them when I booked?! In the info folder in my room it stated that an iron and board were in the wardrobe

Plenty of room in 2 bedroom unit. Very comfy beds and facilties clean. Handy for a stroll in to town for restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Will certainly return. Thank you

Outside chairs rough and broken. Needed a clean up with blower and attend to pot plants. It would be lovely and private to sit out there. (Unit 7)

The room was nice and well positioned. Didn’t get any noise in the rooms from neighbouring room. Very polite staffs. Communicated well. Facilities was nice.

Pillows were a little too soft and thinner(not thin) spares was provided. I didn’t ask for any. They would have probably provided if I did ask.

Good location. Nice bathroom and spa bath. The bed was comfortable and there were comfortable chairs to relax in. The lighting was very good unlike a lot of motels we have visited. Lots of channels available on TV.

The TV didn't work at first. The lady at reception (motel sitter, I think) was very pleasant and helpful and it was eventually sorted. The second night the TV didn't work for us again. This was quickly fixed and we were told we had used the wrong remote to turn it on. Fair enough, but we used the remote that the written motel instructions told us to. Do the instructions need updating perhaps?

Have spa and kitchenette. Tv inside the room

You cannot used the spa and electric kettle together as it cause a short circuit. They have a fan but not working. Tv remote not not working properly. No exhaust when cooking, need to open the door and window when cooking.

Went for Festival of the Lights so this motel was a perfect place location wise with it being a 5 minutes walk from Pukekura park. Unit was clean , comfortable with all the usual amenities

Room smelt musty and damp due to shower head fault that had caused water to seep into carpet. Otherwise nothing.

Me and my family enjoyed our stay had everything we needed close to the lights so we definitely walked ,bonus was the sky my kids did not moan once about not having anything to watch 😄 beds were comfortable,heaps of beds .Staff are lovely definitely will be coming back again. Regards Madison

Well kept facility, good professional person at receiption and the cleaning team did an excellent job. Will be staying at BKS Egmond again.

The shower head leaks water when in use from behind the socket against the wall. Maintenance will have to fix this.

Good location. The room we stayed in was ideal for a family. Good to have access to Sky/Netflix etc. The staff were particularly friendly & helpful & resolved any issues immediately & efficiently. The room had plenty of towels & kitchen items which was appreciated.

The Wi-Fi was really poor which was particularly frustrating if watching Netflix or for the kids devices. It was also super hot in the room although the fans provided made it bearable at night.
