Pure class of construction and quality of the home, complete with a creek running through the back of the property that I swam in. The bed was possibly the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in! I woke up not knowing where I was because of the deep sleep! It’s all electronic key entry code, so I felt safe and very cleverly, no tone to the electronic keypad to wake you up. Host gave you the option of being greeted, which I thought was very polite. Some of us don’t want the interaction, just the bed, and some of us do. A professional and friendly acknowledgement of boundaries. A stunning experience.

Confusion about the breakfast option. The night before I had stayed at another location, and when I woke up, the continental breakfast was set out already. My fault for not checking though. It had a beautiful kitchen and dining table you had access to and coffee making facilities in the room and kitchen as well but missed a breakfast option.l that I was supposed to request.

I absolutely love staying here, it's exceptionally clean, safe and Cosy. Incredible value for money. Beautiful views. Private and everything I would ever need or want. I always choose the breakfast which I look forward to and always enough for morning tea too. The hosts are perfection, if I could give higher than 10 I would. This is truly my home away from home. Room was a great size and bed was super comfortable. I always sleep really well.

The room was sunny with lovely views. The bed was super comfortable, including the pillows which are often an issue for me. Having our own bathroom, small fridge, electric jug and table in our room was really great. The river that is part of the property was such a restful spot. All the facilities in the shared kitchen make meal prep easy if you want that. Ian and Bobby, the hosts were so helpful and friendly.

Other guests in the room opposite us were very noisy when we were trying to sleep. Perhaps some signage reminding guests to think of others, close their doors and keep their noise down may have reminded them to be more considerate.

What a lovely and clean bed and breakfast. The room is spacious, bright. A nice bathroom with large shower and very good bed. The B&B is very quiet, the area around is beautiful with a lake. The owner provides everything you need for a nice stay, answer questions instantly. You can see that they thought about every detail to make you feel at home and welcome. We would highly recommend this beautiful place. Thank you Ian for hosting us.

Everything is perfect

We had a wonderful stay at Almost Heaven BnB! The view from the back gallery in the morning is absolutely breathtaking – the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of tea and breakfast. Though the room was small, it was very comfortable, well-designed, and equipped with everything we needed. Plus, free Amazon Prime was a fun little bonus!

Excellent bed & breakfast in a quiet suburb about 4km/10 minutes drive from central New Plymouth. Lovely location with garden, sun terrace, outdoor seating & picnic areas plus a stream flowing past the bottom of the garden. Very comfortable rooms with en-suite shower & toilet, shared kitchen, on-site private parking, TV & free Wi-fi. Great place to stay – thanks Bobby & Ian

Lovely private location, peaceful. near new, clean, own facilities. Excellent price - very reasonable. Easy access to Hosts when needed, but nice to have privacy. Wonderful having a fridge, toaster, jug in room, plus iron, ironing board, clothes rack and access to a washing machine. Excellent internet. It was wonderful having the use of a basic kitchen. Best B&B I have stayed in.

A TV with access to Netflix and other apps. If you don't have your own log on you can't access them. I didn't use the TV. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment. I didn't want it but I didn't realise I had to order it. Would have liked a hotplate in the shared kitchen as I don't use a microwave.

It was a beautiful location with a stream running past the house set in a light bush. Very Nice! The bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable. Plenty windows to keep the air fresh and cool. We enjoyed conversation with our hosts, when we had the opportunity..

We didn't have the breakfast option which almost seemed an oxymoron in B &...?. :)(: Was maybe? a little too far from the CBD. as we had meetings to attend over 2 days while there. Meant we had to use the car more than other years going back and forth during the day.

New building and super clean. Room heat pump works very well and TV channels good. WIFI super fast. To have entrance to the main entrance and room with electronic personal codes 24/7. Kitchen super clean and well organized. Feels like home and surely will return. Tell my family and friends.

Pillows on beds very hard. Toaster don't belong in room, room to clean and smell nice, won't use in room. Parking little bit odd for a Ute, no serious problem just park at the end.

Very clean, new facility with well-thought-out details which make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Well insulated rooms. Tea/coffee and fridge in room. Independent coming & going with touch-pad door entries. Safe off-street parking. Nice view from our room. All-round a real find and would highly recommend.

Some confusion over check-in procedure and directions (GPS guided correctly, but still easy to miss entry to the private road near the bridge first time), as we didn't have access to email whilst driving. Friendly owner greeted us when we rang the bell. Stay is otherwise planned to be completely contactless, so no-one at door on 'check-in' which would be quite nice after a long drive but this was mentioned in the listing. Must have overlooked the breakfast option when booking, or was not offered on booking.com at the time, so went to cafe in town.
