When you drive up to the B&B you are welcomed and surrounded by flowers, potted geraniums and white hydrangeas leading you up to the front entrance. Once in side, you a greeted by the lovely owners. I was in immediate awe of all the exquisite attention to detail every where you look. The inside is spotless and the foyer leads to a elegant staircase to the bedrooms. You can’t help but notice the paintings, statues, and many treasures from around the world at every turn. The room we stayed in was perfect and inviting. We had a private balcony with views of the gardens. A peaceful place to read a book or have a cup of coffee. The bathroom is spacious, with a deep soaking tub, plenty of soft towels and natural body products to use.

Mattress could be updated but there was a mattress topper so that offered extra plushness.

This was a great place to stay. The hosts were so helpful e.g we arrived on a Monday when a lot of restaurants are shut and she went out of her way to help us find something we would like, we were going to rent some bikes but they lent us two that they had. Breakfast was amazing - all fresh and home cooked and presented exquisitely ( read a review that said it was not enough - must have been a very big eater! We could not eat everything). The room was spotless. I can not speak highly enough of the service we received.

The breakfasts were amazing. Every day was a different feast of local fruits, cheeses, pastries, etc.

It seems unreasonable that guests who book this property can cancel a few days before arrival, as the owners could not hope to obtain a new booking at such short notice. A better approach would be for Bookings.com to take a 50% payment a month before the visit.

The breakfast was very good and a bit innovative---personally I would prefer a conventional breakfast---eggs, ham, sausage toast etc--this is NOT a critique of the breakfast served, more of a comment on my personal preference

It would be nice if there were more flexibility in the check in time---when traveling it is not always easy to "time things" exactly---Having said this, I realize the issues today with help, or lack thereof, and the challenges of meeting the needs of the facility.

The location was great for first time visitors as we were close to many interesting sites The breakfasts were delicious. The hosts were very accommodating. The home is beautiful and very well appointed.

Any future travelers should be aware that they will be climbing a lot of stairs as all rooms are up 20 steps. Also, the walkway up to the building is quite steep too.

I didn’t realize there wouldn’t be a TV, but it turned out fine. The sheets were a bit scented, so mildly irritating to me, but not enough to give me a headache or prevent me from sleeping.

B&B is operated by an extremely nice couple. You will be requested to remove shoes at entrance and use the supplied slippers. Room is spacious and decorated with good taste.

The house is a “vintage” therefore no lift to upper floor. Also from parking to entrance it is required to carry the luggage but the owner helps guests with the luggage as required.

in a B&B I would enjoy the ambiance created by conversations. I wish I could run for coffee as soon as I woke up to the aroma, but had to wait until our breakfast appointment.

We stayed for 3 days. The breakfasts were amazing and creative. We looked forward to whatever creation she was going to serve each morning. Marie-Christine could be a chef or even publish her own cookbook. The property is a historic building with antique furniture and beautiful artwork throughout the home.

There isn't anything we didn't like. A television would have been nice to be able to catch up on the news. It's always good to know what's going on in the world, but we also realized that our stay was supposed to be a peaceful one.

The breakfasts were delicious and innovative… it was obvious care was taken in preparation. We were able to walk to the downtown, restaurants and attractions.

It was a bit too cool in our room/bathroom.
