Huge Violet Crown suite, very clean with a nice large bathroom and big seating area. Decor was cool and location in Mueller was good and close to lots of nice eateries. Hotel has a young and trendy vibe. Staff members very pleasant and helpful- always asking if we needed anything. We requested an iron and kettle for the room and they sorted it quickly.

Valet parking really didnt work for us- we parked with the valet service at the hotel although they had no record of our vehicle - we asked them to register it three times and on the third time a nice guy called Michael did and let use pay for parking at hotel reception... bit of a mess and a bit stress ... also took some time to sort out. Suite was lovely but noisy as there's an Irish bar right outside... noise dies down around midnight Friday/ Saturday and I suspect it might be much quieter during the week.

Great location! Hotel was very clean. Room was clean. Loved the decor. Plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance. There is a nice pond area nearby. The staff was very nice and helpful. Great valet service.

I received a link via text to complete my checkout. During the process, I was given three options for my checkout time: 11 am (no extra charge), 2 pm for an additional $20, or 4 pm for an extra $65. Initially. I selected the 11 am option but later decided to change it. When I called the front desk to inquire about the 2 pm checkout, I was informed that I could pay $20, but my checkout time would be extended only until 12 pm.

The location was great, easily accessible and next to many restaurants within walking distance. The valet drivers were prompt, efficient and polite. Probably my favourite part of the stay. While parking is limited, it was nice to have the in / out option during the day/evenings as we came and went.

I found the breakfast at Blue Ivy to be pricey. I would have liked a swimming pool as I'm from a colder climate and would enjoy the getaway during winter months. While it's a minor inconvenience, I found the sheets to be hard to sleep on. Perhaps the material wasn't breathable, but it felt very warm, despite the room being very cool.

Nice room and overall amenities. Staff was excellent and very helpful. The location was excellent with shopping, dining, attractions, and even a park in easy walking distance.

While the room was accessible by ADA guidelines, no one thought beyond that. You can only turn around in a wheelchair in the bathroom near the sink and in the entrance way. You couldn't maneuver to the tub and had to back up from the desk and around the bed. The bed was too low. The magazines were in a holder that you couldn't reach if you're in a wheelchair.

Everything, the aesthetic, the staff, the bedrooms, the restaurant and bar- this hotel is a real gem 💎. We had a wonderful stay in the Origin Houston, all of the staff including Manager John and everyone we encountered over our three night stay were so welcoming and helpful. This hotel is really beautifully decorated and the bedrooms are comfortable, with premium toiletries in the bathrooms. The bar and restaurant are also great, with great staff, good food and drinks and a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Well done to everyone involved in the running of this hotel- it’s wonderful 👏🏻

I could not fault this hotel on anything- it’s perfect.

The location was good lots of restaurants nearby. Parking was opposite the hotel. Room was large and clean. The hotel is new and facilities were great.

Sofa bed in the room was uncomfortable, very thin mattress on the sofa bed. Staff only provided sheets and pillow cases, and we're expected to make the sofa bed ourselves. Heating and AC unit was inside the room, the fan was very noisy. Apparently it seems common in US.

Loved the hip vibe. The room was spacious and clean. Beds and pillows very comfy. The Blue Lacy restaurant was great. It could stay open a little later on weekends. On Monday they were completely out of most items on the menu. I guess there was some kind of ordering mix up. The staff was accommodating and the gym had everything I needed. Parking is expensive but I found out that is tru throughout Austin. Loved the area in Mueller. The Irish Pub next door is great and Mueller Park is fabulous.

The water pressure in the sink is horrible. The hot water is not all that hot. This is the only true negative about this hotel. I’m seeing it on several reviews too so I guess it’s a common thing.

Property is newer, located near restaurants with easy walking, comfortable bed, clean facility.

Overpriced! Internet doesn’t work well in lobby. Restaurant attached: Blue Lacey - food & service very disappointing. No parking - heard lots of guests complaining about cost of garage/valet across the street. Front desk people not very friendly. Water in my bathroom sink just trickled out - please stop with the silly, unproductive water savers! I’m just running the water longer to brush my teeth & rinse the soap off my hands!

2nd time staying here! We would definitely return!! And recommend it!

I’m super sensitive about bedding & I should have said something but the bedding didn’t feel like it was freshly washed. I’m so sensitive to dust mites. Next time I will say something before I reserve it. I KNOW they will take care of it because anything I asked for they took care of it ASAP!

1. Toilet flush and running sewer water line very audible in room above. 2. Someone needs to invent a self closing door and lock system that doesn’t go “KA-CHUNK!” Across the hall. 3. Note on the $4 water bottles that filtered water dispenser available at drinking fountain outside fitness center. 4. CLEARLY NOTE HOW TO TURN OFF THE LIGHTS-OFF 5-MINUTE TIMERS!
