Bed was comfortable. Hot showers lovely. Split system air conditioner/ heater was very quiet, so was great to use heating. Had kettle and microwave and plates bowls etc. Short walk into town. Not many people staying while I was there, so generally quiet.

The was no table and chairs to set up laptop for work. Had to use the bed or low couch and bedside table. Not very comfy. I was in room 17, so not sure if other rooms had a table and chair set. Parking may have been a problem if more people staying their.

I loved it because it is colourful, quirky and very, very friendly. As a solo traveller most of the time (yay retirement), feeling safe, comfortable and looked after is number one for me. Junction Motel met the criteria. Plus, it has personality. There is so much to look at, from lovely artworks to shop dummies to an abundance of succulents. This is not a boring, sterile come and go motel. This is a stop and linger and relax whilst having fun.

My only disappointment was that the restaurant is only open for functions. But the room service breakfast certainly hit the spot.

They aren't doing any meals at present. Since we always BYO breakfast, the Breakfast was brilliant.

Missing the former restaurant there. New owner not doing meals yet!!! Kitchenette had equipment BUT no container fro MYO meal in microwave. No sharp knife to cut veges. Plenty of charity shops and cheap shops BUT ... And reception seldom open.

Unique art work, interior and exterior, made this an interesting environment. Room was great, clean, ensuite, fridge etc., perfect for relaxing. Short ish walks to shops and places to eat. Parking right outside room.

Only criticism was the car park being so close you get noise from other vehicles, but not a great problem.

The quirkiest hotel I have ever stayed in and I loved it. Each room is different... makes me want to go back again to try another one. Don't judge a book by its covers.. it was comfortable..quiet and clean and very conveniently located. Great price point.

The lighting in the room could have been a bit brighter and I would have loved a second mirror outside the bathroom area.

What a beautiful unique little motel, exceptionally comfortable with a couch and nice bed. Great value. Would of stayed longer if we’d had more time. Finally a motel with towels large enough to go round you.!

A interesting motel nice and clean and comfortable. Separate toilet in the bathroom area. Just what we needed close to Hobart before we fly out. A underated motel. We will definitely stay again if we visit the area. Don't forget to have a look around New Norfolk town. Amazing history complete with friendly helpful people.

The first view shocks you and it takes a little while to accept the courtyard decor. I would call it eclectic art. Lots of items have been recycled and "upcycled" into a strange mixture of mannequins, mixed chairs, pictures and plants that grows on you once you settle down and look at it. However inside the rooms, it is much quieter colouring with tasteful pictures, pale paint and much easier on the eyes. All very well fitted up kitchenettes, bathrooms and cosy comfortable beds. Good wifi and parking outside your room. Peaceful quiet night, slept very well. Breakfasts could be ordered to rooms but we did not bother. Check-in allowed from 12 noon, really good.

This is a 1950's motel that has been upcycled rather than upgraded. The bathroom fittings and layout are old but clean and efficient.

This is an old school 1960s motel with rooms opening onto a shared veranda and parking at the front. Instead of modernising, the owners have remodeled it in a colourful retro manner that is very funky. It was a comfortable and unique place to stay and the price was appropriate

I liked pretty much everything. I suspect that the walls could be quite thin although I didn’t have anyone in the next room to be sure about that

The cleanliness, uniqueness, location, you are able to leave your car at the hotel and be at a supermarket/shopping district in 5 minutes!

The traffic noise, however it is something I’m not used to.
