We are regulars at Auberge, we like the bath tub and the rooms size given the prices. It is a short (15 minutes) bus ride from the airport and 25 minute ferry ride to Central. Since every time we are in Hong Kong is to catch another flight, it is very convenient with large rooms and no traffic. Discovery Bay is also a nice community, since we live in China, Discovery bay is a good escape from the pressures of big Asian cities. Lots of dogs walking with school children and outdoor areas.

BUSES ! Only buses are allowed in Discovery bay and It is very complicated. Auberge is in north plaza, there are many busses between north plaza and main terminal. Different buses go from the hotel to airport or subway stations, so it can take some time to travel out of Discovery bay and lots of planning is required. Taxis are available to the hotel and north plaza but are expensive, HKD 100 to Sunny bay station, HKD 200 to Tung Chung and more to airport. So careful travel planning is required when staying at this hotel.

Always clean. Good breakfast and staff very helpful on reception desk.

Very inconvenient, as the guests have to vacate the pool area at certain times of the day, for cleaning, although we believe it’s because of staff breaks/lunch. They should employ more staff to cover these breaks. Also, the gates seem to be locked, making guests walk through water and running water. By the time you arrive at the pool your clothes are wet. We have stayed at the Auberge many times and never experienced this. Management……please address this issue and improve it.

The rooms size was good with a great view of the bay and the area around. The bathroom was very unique, and this made my 2-year-old kid have a great time. Its like a pool concept with stairs going towards the shower area. The AC was perfect. The hotel provided us with a Philips water controller which can heat/cool the water. Very Handy. The area near the hotel is called Discovery Bay and it was not crowded at all. We wanted some quiet time and when we saw the area around the hotel, we choose to extend our stay by a day and enjoy the peace and quiet. The silence as because it being off season otherwise it looks like a great area for someone who loves water activities. They also have shuttle service for Disneyland, Sunny Bay & Tung Chuc area which was a great help. The Breakfast options were plenty and all delicious. Loved it

There was a leakage above the toilet seat which made some activities difficult. The hotel does not provide toothbrush or a pair of hotel slippers which is available everywhere. It had to be bought through the vending machine. Taxi drivers are generally not happy coming for a drop in this area at night. Bus stops for the city or Disneyland are also far away. 10 mins.

Friendly staff, clean facilities. Due to the large number of guests, they had several sessions for breakfast. Good management.

Close proximity to Disneyland with complimentary shuttle; nearby shops, restaurants and supermarkets with all the essentials make it convenient to access various family needs.

We brought a baby blanket, and left it on the bed when we left the room for the day.. When we got back, the blanket was missing After searching and calling the hotel management They still could not find it. we suspect housekeeping tidied the bed and grooved the entire bedding, with our blanket in it. It’s sentimental so am still upset about it

The most amazing location with outstanding views towards Hong Kong. Comfortable bedroom, staff who went above and beyond to help, delicious breakfast. Great swimming pool, beautiful beach nearby. Staff went above and beyond to help eg were incredibly helpful with information for a walk we wanted to do up to the ridge.

Only some small niggles - most was fantastic. Lockers did not seem to work in swimming pool changing rooms. Pool closed for cleaning at odd times so, for example not possible to have an evening swim at 6pm. The deep bath looked very luxurious and had amazing views but not very comfortable.

1. away from crowds of Hong Kong : discovery bay itself is surrounded by beach and trees. Also , this is a good hotel to explore Lantau island (I took a 3.5 hour hiking from Tung Chung to Tai O, a historic fishing village ) and Peng Chau island of Hong Kong (another village that is 10 minutes ferry from Discovery bay's pier) 2. good value : typically a 4-star cosy hotel in Hong Kong with 32 square metre room space, at least HK$1800 per night 3. reliable transport service : bus route DB02R to airport running on a schedule once an hour , DB01R to subway station Tung Chung running on a schedule once every 15-20 minutes ), and a Kaito ferry service to Ping Chau island (around once an hour)

The location is excellent for Disney. The hotel provide a free shuttle bus service to and from the resort. The room we had overlooking the bay was superb and well worth paying the extra. The room itself was excellent. Good size with a fantastic bathroom. Comfortable beds. The buffet in the hotel was very good if a little expensive. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

Everything was really good

For my partner’s birthday they upgraded us to the most amazing room that sit right on the water with panoramic views. If we returned I would opt to pay for this room as it was unavailable. Also the shower was by far the most powerful “monsoon style” shower I have ever used. Fantastic. Walkable to everything in Discovery Bay and a 30 min ferry ride across the harbour will take you to HK Island. 多謝你們！

Really convenient location with plenty of dining options and coffee shops nearby. Easily accessible by public transport.

The carpet in my room I think wasn’t vacuumed well, it gave me slight allergies. The staff at certain areas like the pool and the cafe were very inhospitable. Didn’t smile, didn’t care to lead me to a seat in the cafe after I paid, etc.
