I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The price was very reasonable. The room we stayed in was quite small, but we didn’t need much space. The bed was a wide, comfortable king size, and everything was spotlessly clean — it felt like the hotel had been recently renovated. The TV was large, and there were plenty of toiletry bottles: body wash, shampoo, hand soap, conditioner, body lotion… all from Dove, a brand I like and that’s not among the cheapest. I also really liked the breakfast — there were eggs, roasted potatoes in small chunks, oatmeal, pork patties, a wide variety of breads and pastries, three types of muffins, fruits, muesli, yogurts, coffee, and juice. The coffee machines looked new and served Costa Coffee, which is not something you usually see in hotels at this price point. I was pleasantly surprised. My husband was a little disappointed that there weren’t any waffles at breakfast, but he was still happy because there were plenty of other good options. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and so did the AC. The hallways and elevators were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking lot is large, and we had no issues finding a spot. I also liked the location — close to a movie theater and a few great places to eat, like a steakhouse and a poke bowl restaurant. I love the staff especially Jacob. This has been 3rd time staying at this hotel and he is the night check in guy. Super nice, very friendly. We always ck in late because we come after the Hooks baseball game, tired! The check in process is super quick. We love our room as well. We always get 2 queen beds. Breakfast set up is sooo cool. And that "Maria" (i believe is her name) always has a smile and greets everyone!! I love her!!!

That it doesn't have a pool but that's ok.

Me and my two kids went for my daughter's softball tournament. Lots of girls from many different high-schools where there and the 1st night we got put under a group of girls who literally jumped and bounce all night and morning. The staff moved us without hesitation so we'd sleep better on night 2. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was delicious asd the place was very comfy and clean.

Location is in a newly developed area that is accessible to restaurants, fast food and grocery stores. I liked that it has tile floor, with a comfortable pillow top bed and soft pillows. The walkin shower is great with a nice massaging shower. Free breakfast has choices of hard boiled egg, warm Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit, toasted bread, muffins, cereals,oats, fruits. Juice and coffee for beverage.

The room we stayed has no microwave.

This hotel is very ergonomic. For instance there was a small shelf in the shower so a woman could shave her legs. (first time I’ve ever seen that!) There is no closet. But there are hangers, hooks and places to hang your clothes. There is also no dressers but instead cubbies where you can store shoes, or other items. Then it’s easy to see when you get ready to leave (I’ve left stuff in hotel drawers, ugh) Toiletry items attached to the walls in the shower. NO ONE is gonna put something in them (read previous review by someone paranoid about that) and it reduces the little plastic shampoo/conditioner bottles, along with unused soaps. The breakfast is very basic continental but was good. They have coffee/tea service 24 hrs! Even cold and sparkling water dispenser so you can get good water. And the room rate was very reasonable. Some sports teams were there and you could not hear them on our floor so really quiet hallways. The bedrooms were tiled which was nice because sometimes I get allergens from the carpet. Especially since most hotels don’t shampoo their carpets often. But the best part was the friendliness of the staff!!! Front desk very organized and efficient. Maid service very hard working and friendly.

The room doors shut hard and secure. But our next door neighbors were in and out a lot at bedtime and the doors shook our shared wall. Not much you can do about that.

The location was great for our needs. The breakfast was not used because we take our own snacks/drinks with us. This hotel is fairly new, so it's still a very clean, nice place. The staff was very nice and informative. We loved the walk-in shower.

There was no coffee maker in the room, which is a big negative. Coffee is available in the lobby, but I don't want to get dressed to go downstairs that early. Also, no microwave in the room, which we use all the time. But the hotel is new, nice and the staff was great. This hotel sits slightly off the street, so the entrance to the hotel was difficult to enter at first . I suggested to the staff when we checked in that they needed an 'entrance' sign. Portland was once a sleepy little town and now it's a bustling mid-size city and the nightly rates reflect that.

I SO LOVED THE STAY @ AVID, SO CLEAN AND STAFF WAS FRIENDLY!! EVERYONE SAID HELLO AS WE WALKED DOWN THE HALL WAYS. THEY EVEN ASKED IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING . COFFEE ALL DAY AND BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING WAS EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOTHING, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT AND NO COMPLAINTS WHATSOEVER. I WILL STAY AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE. ITS A SAFE PLACE TO STAY WHEN I TAKE MY GRAND CHILDREN WITH ME. NOT ONE COMPLAINT ABOUT OUR STAY. THANK YOU

As always the staff was excellent. They greeted me up on arrival and made sure we were accommodated as soon as possible. I was traveling with my elderly mother and she was very tired from the trip. Thank you Ann and Vicki for seeing to our needs.

Booking was easy. Location was convenient. Staff was friendly. Accommodations were good.

I was charged an extra $25 as a deposit they said I would get back. This charge wasn’t mentioned on Booking.com. Also, the floor had a type of linoleum tile that was sticking feeling when I walked bare foot on it.

Hotel was very clean and employees were very friendly and helpful.

The room did not offer a coffee pot nor a microwave.
