Generally at hostel, you provide your food. They've been tweaking & making upgrades to an original old lime, stone & shell mix & structure. Haven’t seen up stairs, but downstairs is keeping its vibe but in a better way.

Improving old historical buildings ( registered or not), take time, a good engineer & lots of money

Attentive staff- accommodated my late last minute arrival, gave me a tour of the property. My room had AC and a nice bathroom and the sheets provided were freshly laundered and soft. Lots of outlets as well - at least four plugs per bed in my shared room. The backyard is really impressive- I wish I came with a friend and stayed a day longer. There are a bunch of bunnies and koi fish and an awesome natural rock pool with a waterfall, a dance floor, a projector, a treehouse.. really impressive. If I’m ever in this area again I will absolutely stay here again. Really cool place.

Nice hostel in a perfect location before the trip to Everglades of Key West. The room is decent in size and the bed is quite comfortable. Huge territory to drink beer and relax in the shade.. Bathrooms are clean. The price was affordable

The amenities are a bit worn down - do not expect the 5* hotel, but the atmosphere is enjoyable. There were few cockroaches, but hey - it's almost tropics..

The place is amazing, with a wonderful atmosphere, almost magical. The garden in particular is a parallel dimension where to relax and enjoy free time after or before an intense trip to the Everglades. It offers the possibility to meet new people but also have your own privacy. I would have liked to stay more days!! Ah! And the host was very welcoming and showed me around the place.

Exactly how described. It did exactly what we needed: parking, great location for heading to the Keys right away in the morning, great price and friendly and helpful staff

Other guests filling up the bathroom bin with bottles but of course not the hotels fault

little pool/pond to refresh and a treehouse/net to chill. Private bathroom for our 8bed room.

Kitchen was not well equipped. No system in the fridge with labels, so we encountered food with mold in it. There was a party with extremely loud music at the hostel. Birthday party of the owner. At first we didn’t like that because we wanted a good night sleep (after sleeping in our car for 4 nights), but we just went with the flow and partied along. But check with the hostel in weekends if they have something planned before booking.

The place wasn't busy, so i got a dorm room yo myself. It was cleam, large, spacious with warm showers. The outside area looks like a tourist resort, its so pretty especially at night, all lit up. The management and staff make a great effort to create and maintain a pleasant and safe community vibe. I really liked it and shout out to Justin for taking care of me.

Coolest hostel in the US. I really enjoyed the tree nets to relax and read a book. The hostel is old but very clean. There's also a nice taproom with craft beers and food trucks nearby.

You can't beat the proximity to the everglades on a budget. The front desk guy was great, super friendly. Interesting grounds. Room had solid AC.

The bathroom in the dorm I was in looked to have not been cleaned in some time.

Only 1/2 drive to Key Largo, close to Alligator Farm and Coral Castle. Beautiful private courtyard for hostelers, comfy private room, can't beat the price! Manager Justin was super helpful and staff were friendly. Great restaurant choices nearby. Loved the cool spring-fed grotto!

The kitchen is not stocked, so bring your own cookware, utensils, and dishes.
