This was a really great stay for me in so many ways and I extended my original booking bu one night. The hotel is beautiful decorated and feels vey much like a home. The interior has a very fresh and authentic feel the linens are top quality and the mattress was extremely comfortable. Exceptionally clean in all area and very large bathroom. Great breakfast and very friendly and authentic service always. The own er of the hotel arranged a tour of the Medina with Rachid a locally born guide. This was quite an experience due to Rachid's local deep knowledge and skill at imparting the information in relation to the history, architecture and islamic culture and community. The hotel is located on a very quiet street on 5 mins walk from the Blue gate entrance to the Medina and with really good local restraints only steps from the establishment. Real hospitality and quality that is hard to find and also very good value for money.
Everything was perfect

Dar recently and smartly re-structured by the owner and his family, who is always kind and available. Trust this guy, he will suggest you the right things and not try to upsell unnecessary things. He provided very useful advices on how to visit Fez's Medina. The breakfast was really good. The AC was working perfectly and there was a air purifier as well. The bedroom was really quiet.
Smell coming from the sewer (seems very common as we encountered in almost all the riads we stayed), but was smartly managed by putting a air purifier inside the bedroom.

The Riad has updated rooms and facilities making for a very comfortable stay. The staff is very attentive and the daily breakfasts were very good. They do offer dinner there which I took advantage of one night and enjoyed the three course meal consisting of a soup starter, your choice of entree ( I had the lamb Tagine), and a dessert (flan).
The terrace doesn't have the best of views but is nice enough to get a bit of sun. Toilet paper must go into a trash can and not down the toilet though they take it out each day when they clean the room.

This Riad was one of the few truly positive highlights of our trip to Morocco. The host was exceptionally attentive and respectful, and it’s clear he maintains high standards when it comes to the people he works with. The taxi driver he arranged and the gentleman who served our meals were both highly professional and made us feel well taken care of. We’re genuinely grateful to the host and couldn’t be more satisfied with our stay.
Nothing, everything was positive.

We did not expect to have such an amazing time here in Dar D’or. The owner picked us up, showed us a good place to park and brought us with our luggage to the Dar. He was so kind and thoughtful! The room was so comfortable, we had the privilege of picking a room, and we chose the smaller one. It was perfect. The bed is so comfortable and the room is so stylish decorated! There really wasn’t one thing I didn’t like. It is very nearby the blue gate and nearby good restaurants. And the owner was the best. Good conversations and a good breakfast! I highly highly recommend this place !!!
Nothing !

Excellent location-The property is in a quiet alley close to the Blue Gate and the medina. Everything is easy walking distance. It is beautifully decorated, has a comfy bed and pillows and a great shower. We had a delicious Moroccan breakfast each morning and our host very kindly cooked rice especially for my husband when he was feeling unwell which was all he could face. We would definitely stay here again.

I was a bit apprehensive at first due to pictures that weren’t very appealing to me. So I didn’t expect too much, but I’m happy to admit I was wrong. We had a great stay in this guesthouse. The family who runs it is lovely with the owner going above and beyond to show guests proper Moroccan hospitality. What we also appreciated is that his recommendations were based on his honest opinion of what makes for a good restaurant or reliable guide. Instead of giving us tips based on commission. Through him we ended up taking a tour of the city with Kamal, who was very knowledgable, pleasant and courteous. The rooms were spacious enough and comfortable. Well functioning airco system and comfortable beds. Would book again!

Fabulous stay at Dar D'or Fes. This was my favourite place out of all the accom I stayed at during my 3 week trip. Rooms are large, clean, well appointed including hairdryer, luggage rack and windows double glazed to provide soundproofing from outside neighbourhood. Showers had good water pressure and were fabulous at end of day in busy medina. Namir and his wife are lovely and very attentive to your needs. They endeavour to assist with any requests you have and tea when I returned from busy day was always offered. They arranged a wonderful tour of the medina and I learnt so much of Moroccan culture and medinas from that one tour.
Nothing I didn't like.

The host represents the meaning of hospitality. The room is spotless, smells great from the bed sheets to the toilette. It feels like my mum prepared it for me. This is a lovely family, the breakfast was home made and you have to try dinner because again it feels like you are part of the family. He took care for our safety, made it really easy for us going beyond. He is available for any help and cares to feel always like home. Don't miss the chance to book here. It is a heaven in the chaotic Fez.
My first time to put an absolute 10 to the property. Congratulations, it is obvious they enjoy what they are doing. We will be back! Thank you for treating us so lovely.

Food was fantastic. We loved the breakfast so we also ate lunch and dinner there -- all delicious. We especially appreciated the friendly and helpful owner and staff who made sure to connect us with the best tours of the city. Hotel itself is beautiful.
You have to navigate stairs in this lovely and traditional home. Okay for us who are 74 years of age, but could be difficult for older people or those with mobility problems.
