Great Riad! Every square inch is very beautifully decorated. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The open terrace is also very nice. The breakfast and dinner are very copious. If you took the offer with meals included, they offer a European or Moroccan option. Can't speak for the European version, but the Moroccan food is very tasty and changes every night.

Just wished the terrace could be accessible past 10pm on hot nights but I suppose it keeps the place quieter. Streets can be a little bit noisy at night and in the mornings at times if you're in the annex but nothing that prevented us from having a great overall stay.

First of all, the riad is beautiful and very intricately designed there is so much to see just in this hotel. It offers so many amenities like a great rooftop where you can have food and drinks, a spa, and a lovely downstairs area. The room was the best I’ve stayed in in Morocco with a super comfortable bed and really nice bathroom. But the thing which stands out the most in this Riad is the staff and their friendly demeanour, always asking how our day is going and helping us with any query with a smile. I wish I had gotten the name of the man who we spoke to each day as he was so lovely and would help us with anything we needed! I will definitely be staying here again

The riad is very beautiful, the staff were welcoming and very helpful, if you have any requests you can ask them they will guide you. The experience was very good overall, the room was very clean (towels changed and the room cleaned every day), the air conditioner was very effective and not noisy at all so it doesn't bother you when you sleep. I recommend this riad if you want to have a traditional experience and visit the medina as it's in the heart of it. The breakfast is a plus and the staff will accommodate if you have some requests.

Lovely one night stay in the heart of Fes medina. Cleanliness and rooms are up to the highest standard. The building and architecture are very authentic and make you feel right at home. Our dinner service was friendly and welcoming, the staff catered to our every need! Special shout out to Badr, Said, and Wiam who made our dinner experience that much more special. We also indulged in the hammam and massage services offered by the hotel which was also very professional and relaxing. Wafae and Souad are very welcoming and heartwarming individuals who clearly love their job and are great at it. Will recommend to anyone visiting Fes!

Everything was perfect!

The staff were absolutely amazing, meeting us outside the Medina to take our luggage and get to the Riad. The desk staff welcomed us and offered us tea while we signed in. They also helped us choose and book a beautiful dinner experience for the night and arranged for a very professional guide Idris who took his entire day to show us the Medina. The decor was beautiful and the scent of jasmine was everywhere in the air. I would definitely recommend this very large and well run Riad.

The riad is beautiful, with elegant traditional Moroccan decor that adds to its charm. The common areas - the corridors, restaurant, and terrace - are beautifully designed and stylish. The location is perfect: close to the medina but on a quiet, peaceful street. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The rooms are clean, and spacious, and the food is delicious. We booked the half-board option, which was great value for money.

Our only suggestion is that the rooms in the adjacent building could use a bit more maintenance, as they don’t feel as well-kept as the main areas. However, considering the overall experience and value, it’s a small issue.

Our stay at Riad al Makan was nothing short of spectacular—we walked in as guests and left feeling like minor royalty who’d misplaced their crowns but still got the VIP treatment. The location? Spot on. You couldn’t trip over your shoelaces without stumbling upon something worth seeing. The traditional hammam experience was a revelation. A lovely lady expertly guided us through it with such warmth and confidence that even my inner skeptic (who packs stress for every trip) melted into submission. I left feeling like a steamed dumpling in the best possible way. Then there was Zakariya—an absolute firecracker. Bubbly, outgoing, and with an energy level that could power a small town, he brought the kind of fun that turns a great stay into a memorable one. You couldn’t help but smile when he was around. And let’s not forget the chef’s legendary six-plate salad extravaganza. It was a culinary masterpiece—a parade of flavors so good I briefly considered proposing to one of the dishes. In short, Riad al Makan is a delightful blend of relaxation, laughter, and great food. Highly recommend making it your royal headquarters.

Beautiful riad with a panoramic view on the terrace, delicious breakfast and friendly, knowledgeable staff (multilingual). The riad is located on a quiet street a short walk from the souks/Fes El Bali, but close to the main drop off roundabout for taxis.

It wasn't clear from booking.com that we were reserving a room in the annex, a separate building across the street. The walls were very thin and we could hear all noises outside the room (footsteps, voices, people in other rooms using bathroom & shower, street noises), and could also smell cigarette smoke coming from outside the room. Can't speak for the main building but I would imagine it's similar.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Anas on reception, and the building is beautiful. We did the Hamman, it was great, highly recommend it.

The riad is beautiful, full of light and decorated in traditional Moroccan style and very quiet, a few minutes walk from the Blue Gate, bab boujloud. Our double room was spacious with a very big comfortable bed and good bathroom, with soaps and shower gel provided plus a hair dryer. The linen was of good quality. The staff are all extremely courteous and always wonderfully helpful. The breakfast each day had lots of different and delicious offerings with fresh fruit and juice and eggs cooked in various ways.
