Painted in the typical yellow of Skagen, the hotel is located a little outside the main town with parking areas. Very easy to walk to town from the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile, and a room upgrade. Room 2 is at the front of the hotel, with a small balcony and looked brand new. The bed was very comfortable, the styling coastal and Scandi. Very quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent, lots of quality fresh choices, plenty of hot tea and coffee. We stayed two nights, and felt more like we were staying with family, than a hotel. We especially loved having our breakfast in the sunny dining room that still features original paintings.

Not a complaint. Just a note. As the building dates to 1905, there are no lifts if you travelling with large suitcases.

The hotel is lovely and well maintained. The owner/proprietor of this hotel was extremely helpful and responsive! We took an afternoon ferry from Norway to get here and so needed a late check in. She made that happen and even gave us upgraded rooms. Breakfast was delicious with nice selections with a very lovely detailed presentation. The beds were comfortable. We'd definitely like to return here for a longer stay!

We loved being on the balcony, but could unfortunately smell cigarette smoke from those smoking outside below. Nothing could help that; it was just unfortunate.

The Hotel Strandly Skagen suited us well, as we were travelling around Denmark by train and it was a short walk from the station. It is situated in the town, close to shops, supermarkets and restaurants, as well the museum and other tourist attractions. The hotel is a wonderful family-run hotel. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived. The room itself was a good size and very comfortable. The bed was so amazingly comfortable and we slept extremely well during our whole stay. The owner, Didde, is a brilliant host and obviously trains her team well, as they were helpful and polite. You really sense they want to make your stay special. Didde went out of her way to help us when we rented two of their bikes, which was so nice, since we hadn’t ridden a bike for years. The day we left, we had to leave before breakfast began, but Didde had requested her team to prepare breakfast trays for us to pick up and take to our room. The staff really could not have done more for us. We would love to return to the Hotel Strandly Skagen at some time in the future. Thank you all for a fabulous few days in Skagen.

Loved our stay at this hotel! The room was large and beautiful, the breakfast was great and they provided gluten-free options! The owners were lovely and even gave us advice on where to go for dinner. There's also free parking! It's close to Grenen and the beach where we saw cute seals!! Would love to come back. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Strandly Skagen. It's a lovely, cosy, beautifully decorated hotel, with wonderful people running it. We only stayed one night but felt really well looked after. We could rent bicycles for the day, which was very convenient for us as we didn't need to worry about finding a rental place. We highly recommend the hotel for anyone wishing to visit Skagen :-) Mange tak!

The hotel is so beautiful you felt completely relaxed as soon as you arrive. The rooms are comfortable and stylish and have everything you need. The staff are so kind and helpful. You can rent bikes at the hotel which is so handy in Denmark where cycling is such a joy. The food in the evening and for breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I had the best time.

The hotel is beautifully presented, furnished and decorated to the highest standards, with lots of attention to detail, and the facilities all worked perfectly. It is situated within easy walking distance of Skagen town centre, restaurants and bars. The hosts are super-friendly and helpful. We hired bikes, which were ideal for getting us around to see the sights of the town, and to Grenen. I would highly recommend the exceptional Hotel Strandly to anyone looking for value and a calm and classy place to stay.

Nothing: it’s perfect!

We especially made use of the balcony and the location near everything in old town Skagen. The breakfast was quite good. It’s architecture fit in well with the old town.

We couldn’t figure out the TV, but when we got a hold of the Technical person the day after it was resolved. The stairs to the second floor are steep, a warning to those who have trouble with stairs.

The decor is very classy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Easy parking out front, the town within easy walking distance.

The breakfast was disappointing. They could really do better. It’s obvious that they are doing the minimum they think they can get away with. It wouldn’t cost that much to be more generous, and it would pay off in better reviews.

Beautifully decoratedl property with an impeccable breakfast. I wanted to stay longer just for the breakfast. Also the staff were so friendly and kind. Loved the flexible bicycle rental - highly recommended to go to the end of the peninsula with a bicycle if you are fit enough! Bicycles were well maintained, no issues at all.

The walls were quite thin, I could have conversation with the next door guests while sitting on the bed, which was awkward.
