This is an excellent historical hotel with a lot of charm, character and a great place to stay and relax. We had a family room and so were in the annex building, which is a few minutes walk from the main building. It was nice in that there were two bedrooms, one for the child and one for the adults. The breakfast was exceptional, and you are eating in the historical dining room, where all of the famous, historical Skagenians would once gather. We really loved this stay.

As this is an historical inn, you would find a little bit of creaky flooring and similar charming defects. The bedroom was comfortable but only somewhat so.

The room was super cute and bed was very comfortable and clean. It was handy having my own sink in the room since the bathrooms are shared. The parking was convenient to the main entrance and the beach wasn't far away. Dinner and Breakfast were both excellent. I hadn't had such good pastry since leaving København.

Because it's an older home, the walls are fairly thin and sound carries. I felt I had to be really quiet to not annoy my neighbouring guests.

A beautiful atmospheric hotel, close to Skagen museum, a short walk from the railway station and with lovely shops (and excellent bakery) nearby. The breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful room. The hotel grounds were very nice to relax in.

The room was a bit spartan and on small side. (Not that big a problem to be honest, there's a lovely hotel lounge to sit in.) As in much of the rest of Skagen, vegetarians are not well catered for.

the hotel harks back to bygone days. It is a wonderfully old-fashioned place, the comfort and technical equipment of the rooms is moderate in comparison with modern standards, but the atmosphere of the hotel is highly cultivated, the selection of all the furnishings, of carpets, wall-papers, furniture and the whole architecture is immaculate and authentic. It is a pleasure to be there and enjoy the taste and beauty of the rooms.

The shared bathroom is worse than I thought. It’s clean but feels like a dorm bathroom. Room is not fully cleaned. We found some hairs left in the mattress. In general the value of money is so so.

I loved the way they maintained the rooms. Cleanliness and service was very good. They have separate buildings for stay, kind of heritage ones and well kept but was a bit away from the main hotel. However, that's compensated with the good breakfast buffet and the restaurant serves amazing food! Had my Easter dinner and tried Oyster for the first time.. and went pretty well :) Staff is very friendly and hospitable. Peaceful lounge area to sit and read/work. And the location is very close to the city centre. Oh ya and the beach is round the corner about 1 km, so very convenient. Just that they don't have room service, so need to plan your meals or last min cravings and hunger well ahead. Otherwise had very peaceful, relaxed and a very happy stay! Thanks <3

Should have had room service

The famous hotel lives up to its reputation. A delicious dinner served in a beautiful dining room filled with art and flowers. Even the room in the annex - a large traditional building overlooking the docks was charming and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Service at table excellent.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. I missed the shared bathroom portion when booking, however there was nothing to worry about. All amenities were available, a robe and slippers were provided too! The bathrooms were squeaky clean and plentiful and always available. The hotel is in a very quiet location, close to the beach. Breakfast was lovely too.

Lack of possibilities to darken the windows at night.

This is the third time I'm staying at Brøndums Hotel (main building) and while they have made some minor changes like renovate the bathrooms and showers they've retained the same atmosphere in a very nice way. The staff is very professional and helpful, the restaurant is high class and the food (especially the seafood) is amazing. Rooms (in the main building) are small with the bare necessities, but clean and tidy. I can't recommend it enough.
