Loved the location and the helpfulness of the staff. They were so courteous and even accommodated visiting family for breakfast, baggage storage, and taxi services. Would highly recommend.

Cleaning service didn't always take out some of the trash we left, but that's nitpicking.

2 nights in historic center of Cuenca, pleasant atmosphere, interior classical, historic building, painted ceilings, beautiful plaza in front, secure parking ( a bit complicated though), personnel helpful and engaged

stairs narrow and steep, 8pm 60 min very loud dance / workout session on the plaza (for non-jetlagged no problem perhaps)

We really liked the hotel! Super confy and cozy. The decor is amazing it seems like you are staying in a liltle palace. The rooms are very clean! With an amazing view over main square in that area. Super nice stay we had! The infrastructures of the building and the hotel are very good. The laundry service they have is also very good. The location is great close to everything in the city. Good hot shower! Nice temperature inside the room.

We don't give it a 10 because of the breakfast. Very poor to be honest. Small quantities to share between 2 people. Then we asked for more and once they said they only had 1 bread remaining. They really need to improve this part. But it seems to be a general issue in Ecuador. We arrived to have the breakfast at 7, when it starts, they were was no one there to serve us we needed to wait at least half an hour when we wanted to leave early. We thought it's a bit expensive but fine.

we found this hotel the perfect place for us, situated in a beautiful square of the city, our room had a wonderful view overlooking the church. it was spotlessly clean, the shower was super, the bed comfortable. the owners were so kind and smiley, and answered to any of our questions and needs. I would definitely come back there if I’d have the chance to come back in Cuenca

Cuenca is very historic and the hotel is fully restored and very clean and in a perfect location with plenty of excellent restaurants

Nice colonial style hotel, very clean, nicely decorated with a comfy bed. Nice friendly staff. Great value.

They could be more generous with the breakfast initially so one doesn't have to keep asking for more, although they did give more when asked. They could do with black out curtains in the rooms at the front of the building as the street lighting kept the room illuminated with a dim glow all night.

Hotel Azul is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and in an excellent location. The staff was very helpful as well. We will certainly return to this great property.

It was a little noisy at night as it is located on busy square. That was not a problem for us, but noise sensitive travels may want a room towards the back.

Very clean, lovely hotel in the centre of Cuenca, helpful staff and comfortable beds

The only negative is that you could hear other guests moving around as it's an old building, but this wasn't a major problem.

Rooms not well insulated so very noisy when someone is speaking or walking on the stairs
