Really lovely old historic hotel with great views of the bay. The junior suite was a very large comfortable room, and the grounds, pool, and gym area (which includes a sauna, steam room and hot tub) were very nice and kept in good condition.

If you’re looking for views, make sure to book a bay view room. We booked a junior suite because the pictures online made it look like there were views of the bay, but it turns out the junior suites are on the lower floors and we only had a partial view of the bay. Also on nice weekends the pool area gets really crowded with members of the gym which is open to the public. We had trouble finding a seat around the pool, so it’s too bad they don’t make hotel guests more of a priority. However, it was the first really sunny weekend in May so it may not be that busy all year round. It did quiet down and get less busy in the late afternoon/early evening and it is a very nice pool area.

The room decor was very nice. I especially enjoyed the very comfy bed and linens. The room that they gave me didn't have much of a view but the hotel facilities overall was very nice. The bathroom had a light timer on it and while I was in the shower all the lights turned off. That made for a funny moment while I tried to find the switch to turn the lights back on in the pitch black in an unfamiliar setting. There was a wedding the evening that I arrived. The hotel had plenty of parking and I didn't hear any party noises from my room. It was fun to I had a very delicous Sunday brunch with my son on the hotel's restaurant. It was very busy but the staff was very friendly and overall we had a good experience!

I wish I could have stayed longer. I tried to book again for parent's weekend but they were sold out and the prices were triple for the same room.

Aesthetic. Historic & Gorgeous architecture. Unmatched! The interior spaces (both private & common areas) were decorated in luxe fashion and everwhere the eye could see was beauty & comfort.

The noise. A near deal breaker. Outside of our room people talking late at night. A young kid running up & down the hallway. A kid running in the room above us each night. And the worst was a music video shoot right outside our window from 10:30 to 11 pm when we were trying to sleep.

The building itself. The classic decor. The clientele. The Fairmont signature toiletries : “Rose 31” range by “The Labo”.

Bathroom are old. We were kind of “forgotten “ as the room was not so welcoming when we arrived. It’s only after pour arrival that we got a bottle of Pinot noir and some sweets and also the water bottles , the slippers … The coffe and cups were not restocked so i

View was spectacular, but the cost of the room was extremely high. It is a beautiful old building, but it is old. The food at the conference was excellent. Le Labo amenities are first rate.

More electric outlets, better placed in the room. More grab bars to allow old folks to use bath tub safely. My husband complained about the mattress. Need clearer instructions on whether Door Dash etc is welcome.

I appreciated the positive attitude of all the Claremont staff that I met. The concierge was very helpful and the front desk Manager was also professional, positive, and helpful.

At first i was given an unacceptable room. Then, the room was changed for the better Also, for the JP Morgan Healthcare conference, there should be a sign up list for people to carpool to SF from the hotel. I was driving and would have liked to drive others to the conference.

First room given us was so small that the queen bed doubled as wall to wall carpeting. The bathroom was so small that you had to step out of it just to change your mind. Fortunately when we explained our discomfort with the room they did find us a more suitable room. The seconded room was quite acceptable with an enjoyable view of the bay and city lights. The desk clerk was very kind and helpful.

No place to sit in the restaurant or bar. We were told by the hostess to stand in line for our wine and see if we could find a seat in the lobby.

The room and bathroom were very nice and the beds were very comfortable - we all got a good night's sleep! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our brunch at the Limewood Bar and Restaurant was amazing and so was the view from our table.

Even though all three pools were open, the pool was very crowded and there were children in the pool who were bumping into and splashing the adults without apologizing. We understand that this is not the fault of the hotel but it kept us from having the enjoyable and relaxing time at the pool that we were expecting. We also wished that there were more umbrellas to provide shade.

Historic building and friendly staff made it a unique experience. Breathtaking bay views. Children play area was very nice. Didn’t use the spa but seems very nice as well.

Breakfast is at a restaurant which is very crowded with out of hotel guests so book a patio table for breakfast. The hotel swimming pool is shared with a club and gets very crowded and is difficult to access. We did go on Labor Day weekend.

The hotel is very beautiful. The spa facilities, workout area, and pool were exceptional. Our granddaughter enjoyed the kids' pool. Great view of the bay. The restaurant was very good. All staff were professional. Our room was very spacious.

Bodywash and shampoo were empty in the shower.
