The room was large, light and airy and well equipped, and the bathroom was spacious as well, with bath and shower. Excellent view from the room. Breakfast was very adequate. The sausages and beans were particularly tasty!! I wasn't so keen on the American themed dinner menu. One evening was a novelty but enough. But that's just my taste. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, especially the member of staff who welcomed us and dealt with us on arrival.
There was nothing I actually didn't like although parts of the hotel were a bit "tired". especially carpets upstairs. However that didn't negatively affect the stay as the room was very clean.

The customer service was exceptional- the manager was really welcoming and friendly. We had booked a room with a double and 2 singles, but one of the singles hadn't been made up in error. He very kindly gave us an extra room for no extra charge and arranged secure space to store our bikes. The bar was also lovely with a great atmosphere, and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. For a hotel right in the centre of town it was excellent value for money and the service was fantastic.
Lots of steps upstairs and baths, rather than showers in the rooms, but for the price there's always going to be some compromise.

We had a large family room with a double and a single bed in the room and very spacious. The pub was once an 18th century malt house, so the room was a bit quirky and reflected the age of the property, but it was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large en-suite and tea & coffee etc provided in the room. The rooms have their own entrance to the car park, so you can come and go outside of the pub opening times. Our room had a nice view of the river across the road, and the outside drinking area, but we didn't experience any noise from the pub at all. We would definitely stay here again.
Bed was a little soft for our liking, but that's just personal preference and we slept ok.

The room was great, with lovely views to the River Severn flowing nearby. The bed was comfortable and the heating very good (it was easy to adjust the temperature using the radiator valve), with quirky old-fashioned lighting that added further character to the room. I’ve only marked it from a 10 otherwise to an 8 because there was no option to stand to take a shower, which was a pain ahead of a busy day’s work. The shower was attached to the bath taps and had a long enough hose to reach a bracket if there had been one in the wall and the pressure was reasonable enough. Just adding a rail and shower curtain, together with a shower head bracket, would solve this issue. Instead, I had to kneel in the bath to take a shower before work. I can’t comment on the breakfast as I had to leave for work too early, but my evening meal of yummy nachos followed by an outstanding burger then a delicious sundae dessert was fab!
Lack of proper shower option. Otherwise great, and excellent value for money.

The price was excellent value, the staff friendly Bar area has a nice rustic feel in keeping with the history of the are in Ironbridge Breakfast was amazing :-), (served next door at the Malt House) the room (No 5) was quirky with a glass floor area and historical cellar beneath , quite a talking point Very good location for the historic town and river Severn. I would definitely revisit the Swan
The Décor was a little dated and could have done with a lick of paint, Bathroom: Sealant around the bath top and panela needs to be refreshed. The carpeting on the stairs and landing was dirty, but this may be due to contractors staying in the hotel with muddy shoes. but all in all, very positive stay.

Arrived after long bike ride. Really friendly staff, easy check in. Room comfortable and clean with a bath that was appreciated after long ride. Looked out across road to river which was nice to watch walkers/ducks in the morning. Nice meal downstairs in the evening, good rack of ribs with delicious beans in spicey tomato sauce. Parking on site and able to lock my bike in little courtyard behind pub. Came and went through back of pub and nice breakfast served in sister pub, the Malthouse next door.
Nothing, great value for money in popular area.

Excellent location in the heart of Ironbridge with parking and breakfast included. Excellent value for money. Breakfast was served at the Malthouse, the pub next door, but this was not a problem and was excellent. The atmosphere in the bar was lovely and although we didn't eat there, the menu looked good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room, 103, was very comfortable and quite large. However, the lighting was not very good, atmospheric, but a bit too dark, and unfortunately we did not have a mirror in our bathroom, otherwise everything else was good.

We just needed to lay our heads overnight and it was perfect for this. The family room was above the pub and though it could do with a bit of a refresh, it was great value for money (especially as breakfast was included in the price)! Seemed slightly short staffed, but we received a warm and efficient welcome! Breakfast was served at another pub just down the road - selection and service was very good.
Carpets could do with a deep clean. Single bed mattress was a bit springy. Car park was a bit tight

The location is perfect, opposite to the Museum of Gorge. The staff is exceptional, very friendly. The bed is comfortable and the room spacious. Just minor improvements in the bathroom would be great, but these shall things didn’t spoil our stay. We had dinner at The Swan, it couldn’t be better. Amazing good, fair price. Spot on!
The bathroom needs some minor improvements: there is no towel rail, there is no way to hang the shower, as there is only a bath, the toilet seat is loose. Also, a reading lamp on the bedside would avoid having to get up of the bed to turn on/off the bedroom’s light.

Carl gave me an amazing welcome. The bed was very comfy, with a smart TV in the room and toiletries in the bathroom. I even had a pressing iron and ironing board. The room was very airy and faced the forest. Breakfast across the road was delicious and included with the room. There is a Coop shop just close by. And the legendary Ironbridge is within a walking distance from the hotel.
Regular bus services from the city centre stop serving the hotel area from as early as 7pm, so you'd need to trek for long distances or look for alternative transport if you're staying out late or returning late to the hotel.
