We were a family of 4, in a room that fit all of us on the top floor. It worked great. The view from the balcony near is amazing. They serve some meat, cheese, and drinks there if you want. Watch the birds at dawn or dusk. The hosts are lovely. They add to the calm of the place. Take their recommendations for dinner and parking. Breakfast was lovely, and good. We took a cab up and a bus down. You do have to walk just a bit to get to the door, but not far at all. The bus was good to do, with locals, it runs at different times on weekends. Not a place to rush, and place to savor.

It was all good. Stay here!

The location and views from atop a cliff in the old town are utterly stunning. This alone warrants a visit! The hotel atrium/courtyard is tastefully decorated and is where guests take a delicious breakfast (there are two breakfasts...a cheaper continental breakfast and a more pricey gourmet one). Also, if the weather is good, there is a roof terrace from which to enjoy the best views disturbed only by the toll of church bells at regular intervals.

We parked where the hotel recommended, in a car park El Paseo in the centre of town. The instructions to find a taxi to the hotel were not clear so it took a lot of walking around to establish that there is a taxi rank on C. Debajo del Corral. Hopefully, this tip will save someone a lot of time!

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were meant to be staying one night but ended up staying for three. We knew from within an hour of being there that it was where we'd like to spend the last few days of our holiday. The hotel is full of charm and character with some nice artwork dotted around. The rooms are very individual and very comfortable. The two rooms we stayed in were nicely decorated in keeping with the type of building. The views from both the roof terrace and the private terrace in the first room we stayed in were amazing and perfect for watching the sun set with a cold glass of wine. The breakfast was good value for money, with delicious cheeses, meats, eggs to your liking, bread, coffee, cereals, fruit and yoghurt and delicious local sweet olive oil tortas. We were able to buy drinks to have in our room or on the terrace and they were very reasonably priced. There is also a library where we could go for a quiet read with the wood burning stove keeping us nice and warm. We will be returning!

I cannot fault our stay in any way.

Beautifully well kept historic period abode in heart of old town with gorgeous views of valley below. We had a quaint bahia room (cellar level) but with full view double level terrace. There is also shared rooftop terrace, lovely inner courtyard and library. Feels like you stepped back in time to 18th century but with indoor plumbing. Optional breakfast a must!

Wifi does not reach lower level rooms, but fine elsewhere in facility. They provided a study for spous's zoom class. Quite a hike from parking but that is well labeled in booking and standard in the other villiages we stayed in so far as old town streets are not built for cars.

This was our first visit to Arcos de la Frontera and how delighted we were to stay in La Casa Grande. It is gracious and welcoming, like walking into someone’s home, with first class hospitality from all the staff. Breakfasts were superb! The spectacular location of this hotel make it a very special place to stay and our room had the benefit of a private terrace with comfortable chairs from which to enjoy the lovely views. Because the hotel is on a pedestrianised street there is no parking but it was very easy to leave the car in the nearby Paseo de Andalucia underground car park and take a short (€6) taxi ride to the hotel. It would be our first choice on any future visit to Arcos.

Nothing. We liked it all.

Everything. Spacious suite, clean facilities, comfortable beds. The upstairs terrace had THE BEST VIEW. The breakfast, even though it wasn’t included, was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and warm. Incredible location. Wish we stayed longer.

Getting there wasn’t easy - BUT, the directions and recommendations they gave were spot on. At the end of the day, it really wasn’t a big deal.

Great location, quiet but very central, a lovely old building oozing quirky character. The antithesis of the bland identikit hotel room! Warm and helpful hosts. I had splurged on the junior suite which was great. It was huge and gave out onto the rooftop terrace with views to die for.

Wifi a bit patchy, but what would you expect with walls this thick? Definitely not a criticism! It would be nice to have a bit more furniture on that glorious terrace.

Wonderful building, dramatic location! Beautifully curated interiors with very well chosen art and truly lovely music playing quietly at breakfast. The hotel was the best thing about our stay.

The cars and scooters on the road outside are very aggressive and fast, leaving no room for pedestrians. But that’s not the hotel’s fault…

Very nice bohemian atmosphere. Also very nice and friendly people . We stayed in a authentic room on the roof. We felt very comfortabel here. The hotel is between the two Churches in the oldtown , in the center , and at the highest point of Arcos. So we had an amazing view from the terrace .q

we loved the property, it exceeded our expectations and we had a fabulous stay. the views from the roof terrace, and our own room terraces were amazing, over the hills and with lots of birds, including birds of prey, swooping around. breakfast was delicious, super fresh, and varied - lots of it too. our bedroom was very comfortable, well decorated, AC and the views from the terraces were delightful. Elena and her team were super helpful, helped us book a taxi for the return, told us about events going on in the village before our arrival, and restaurant recommendations too.
