Chateau Royal is a beautiful new hotel in a perfect location. We were able to easily walk to all of the main sites. The room was spacious and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed there was a separate water closet and plenty of shelving/storage in the bathroom. The bartenders in the lobby were also incredibly kind and entertaining which led to us having a nightcap there every day!

I can not say enough great things about this hotel. Beautiful inside, VERY comfortable rooms, sparkly clean and amazing staff! They went above and beyond all of our expectations, helping us make reservations for New Years Eve dinner at the last minute AND helping us contact a taxi driver to locate something we left. A great value compared to some of the other hotels in this area but totally worth the money we spent, for the comfort, service and location. We could easily walk to many of the major sights, or take a quick walk to the nearest train/metro to get everywhere we wanted to go! I would absolutely stay here again and again!!!

There is construction going on in the opposite building, but that didn't bother us.

THe Breakfast were brilliant, so much to choose from. Beverages were a bit dangerous where you have to walk back to your seat with hot water in a cup(tea , tisane , coffee) jugle spoons sugar tea bags and milk or creamer. Would have prefered offer of a small pot of coffee and milk sugar or small tea pot with choice of tistane. Beverages should not be in a buffet style. Staff should.Offer " would you like eggs and would you like tea or coffee and juice? House keeping were marvellous and well trained. ( they used their commonsense. ) Bar staff were superb and looked after us very well (we are well over 70.) Nothing was too much trouble.

We were shocked to find that our room had not got a fridge, just a small fridge wired to the safety box circuit and fitted in a cupboard. I spoke to other guests and they found the same problem.

I travel to Berlin frequently for work and Chateau Royal is the first hotel I've stayed at in the city where staff treated me like a guest and not a nuisance. I was greeted by a helpful employee who personally showed me to my room. The entire staff was professional and friendly, which is so rare in the German hospitality industry. ( Good luck getting anyone who works at Soho House in Berlin to make eye contact, am I right?) The rooms have GREAT air-con, which is a huge plus in the hot summer months. There are black-out blinds on the windows so the room gets properly dark. The roof top bar is great (although annoyingly its full of people smoking disgusting cancer sticks, but what can you do? It's still Germany, after all.) Drinks are excellent. All in all, a great stay, and I will come back.

Wifi was a little weak on the top floor but this was forgivable. Maybe another repeater to boost the signal.

It’s a lovely boutique hotel in a really great location, with easy access to the Museums, shopping, and plenty of nice cafés and restaurants. We had a junior suite, which was beautifully appointed and very spacious.

The breakfast staff were rather diffident and didn’t always come to ask you for your egg order. Mostly we didn’t want eggs, but we’d have liked to be asked! Coffee is self-service, but if you want anything other than filter coffee, you have to pay extra, which is unusual. The buffet breakfast was otherwise very good.

The property was absolutely amazing with a really nice calm feel, rooms were clean and bright and the artwork spread around the hotel really added to the whole experience. Staff were amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful, we had to cut our stay short due to airport strikes the day we were due to leave but they staff were amazing in helping us get the booking amended. Breakfast had a good selection and the quality of the food was really good. Location of the property is great and within walking distance of all the major landmarks in the city.

Can’t fault anything about the hotel.

My new favourite hotel in Berlin. Fantastic hotel and fantastic staff. If you want a cheap hotel, find a cheap hotel. If you want a good hotel, book in here. Rooms are great, bar is great.
