Excellent, quiet, central location to Friedrichstrasse Station, where a 4 minute, easy walk there makes it super easy for a direct train to the airport, Potsdam day trip, or any other long-distance destination by train. Easily walkable to all of the main sights in Mitte. The A/C worked well, the free refreshments and coffee at the reception area were much appreciated. Rewe and Aldi are close by for self-catering as are numerous restaurants near Oranienburgerstrasse. Would recommend!

Our room was a bit dark, with a bit of a closed-in feeling. Other rooms might be different, though. There were several rough scuff marks on the white furniture, making it look a bit shabby even though it wasn’t.

As always, great value for money and perfect location! This year the rooms were equipped with the digital built-in tablets instead of traditional paper copy of hotel rules and services. Online check-in is now also possible. Love this digitalization! The breakfast was delicious, especially the omelet and banana bread.

Unfortunately, despite all these new digital things, the hotel elevators definitely need attention and renovation! I stayed for a week-end - and only 2 of 3 elevators were functioning. Moreover, on Friday evening, the second elevator also stopped working! What a disappointment for the guests from the top floors. On Saturday evening it seemed to be working but when I and a couple of guests wanted to use it, it started crash-boom-banging at every floor with a very unpleasant sound, so we got really worried. Luckily, we reached our floor safely, but I would hardly recommend professional service or even replacement for these elevators.

Location was fantastic and great value for money. Rooms are comfy if not a bit tight. Would definitely recommend as a base for sightseeing in Berlin, close to main train station and more restaurants and cafes than you could poke a stick at. Desk staff gave us early access to our rooms which was much appreciated after over 24 hours of travelling. Good quality breakfast with lots of choice. Really friendly bar staff with generous pours! We would go back again when next in Berlin.

Rooms are very small - very little storage space. You have to ask to use the fitness area - not automatically added to your card, which is annoying when you're already to start a workout and can't get in. As it is, the fitness area is very limited.

I really liked the lobby, breakfast place, and the workplace they have in the lounge area.

The property is all about the location. That’s it. The rest it’s just a regular hotel. The rooms are small and with too much furniture in them. No TV channels in English only news. The cleaning was ok. The hair dryer wasn’t working so I got another one from the front desk but the replacement barely dried my hair. The breakfast is good. They give a bottle of water every day which is nice! The hotel does let you drop-off your luggage that was a big plus for me and that’s why I booked and the location. I would book again.

Great hotel with lovely staff in a perfect location which meant it was easy to get to the main tourist attractions. We could walk everywhere. It was also very near a main train station which made it easy to get to the airport. The rooms were very clean and had AC. There were lots of restaurants and cafes right nearby. This was our first stay in Berlin and we loved every minute of it.

One of the rooms was quite small so if we were to stay again we would go for a bigger room but the 2 boys ( aged 17 and 19) who stayed in there didn't seem to mind much. The other room was perfect, very spacious.

You can't beat the location of this accommodation. This hotel is right next to Friedrichstrasse station, by the river Spree, and within walking distance from most of the popular landmarks in the Berlin Mitte region. We loved walking around the hotel, checking out the shops along the main road, the vibrant food places along Spree, and the calm back-alleys just behind the hotel. The park right in front of the hotel provides a good buffer from the busy ambiance beside Spree, making the hotel a quiet refuge within one of the busiest neighbourhoods of Berlin. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, helping us with a kind allowance of late check-out. The room was quiet spacious for the rate in this neighbourhood, and the bathroom was decently sized as well. The cleanliness is commendable; we did not need any cleaning service during our stay, but were provided with fresh towels and water bottles whenever we needed. We would try to stay at the same hotel if we visit Berlin again, and will recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

If we nitpick, there are just a couple of things that may improve. The first is the elevator system; we stayed for 3 nights, and during the whole period, one of the three elevators remained non-functional. Not sure what the issue was, but at a hotel of this stature, we would expect expedited repair and maintenance to be a top priority. Second is the wardrobe; although the room was quite spacious, we felt that there might have been more space allocated to the wardrobe, providing a little more storage space for clothes. Nothing major; we could manage easily. Apart from these two small points, we would give this hotel full points for hospitality. Highly recommended.

My first time visiting Berlin was made so very nice by the staff at Leonardo Hotel! I stayed Monday-Friday and adventured in the city during the day. Perfect location to get around to the sights

My only complaint was there was a loud buzzing/electrical groaning in my room constantly which made it a little hard to get to sleep without something playing to drown it out.

Lifts broke down but they were fixed quickly. TV was out of action, didn't know I had a fridge and air con. There weren't any instructions for air con and controller seemed a bit out of date, wasn't sure how to operate it as wasn't clear. Breakfast canteen could have done with better vegan labelling, eg in the hot food counter there were falafel and beans without labels, and next to cold vegan food there were baba ganoush and chia pudding but couldn't see if they were ok for me. A friend and I went for a final drink at the bar but service was very slow so we only stayed for 1 beer instead of 2, they were busy though.

The overall stay was comfortable. The staff whom we interacted with were very helpful. In particular, Ms. Kubasik, Ayliz (who checked us and checked us out at the reception) was very informative, cheerful and friendly. The location was excellent - a few minutes walk from the Frederickstrasse station. Access to buses, trams, S and U-bahn was very very convenient. The river cruises also boarded right across from the hotel. We found 3 Indian restaurants nearby - Kailas Parbat (brand new - we ate there; excellent food); Anand and Bombay (didnt try these 2 places). We did take the U-bahn to Saravana Bhavan

The room could have been larger. It was a bit too compact for 2 people.

We didn’t have a chance to eat breakfast on-site, but our experience with the hotel was wonderful overall. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we especially appreciated the hotel providing fresh bottled water every day — such a thoughtful touch! The location was perfect for us. It allowed us to easily walk around the city and fully enjoy the beautiful weather during our stay. A special mention to the concierge, who was absolutely fantastic! She provided us with excellent recommendations each day, helping us make the most of our trip. :) We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!
