The location is very good, making it easy to explore the city and access public transportation. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Great shower and bathtub. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any requests.

We did encounter a problem with the heating in our room, but it was promptly resolved by the front desk and the maintenance team.

Excellent location, close to a large train station, you can get to different stations without any problems. Not far from the hotel there is a Museum Island. Right across the road there is a pier where boats depart for a cruise along the river. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped us buy a city pass and cruise tickets. The room is nice, clean and big. Comfortable bathroom, mini fridge, excellent air conditioning. Very good breakfast, many different dishes, vegetables, sweets. The waiters will bring you coffee. We chose the room with view to the river - very nice.

Pillows were too soft, not enough power sockets in the room.

I booked for a king-size bed, and they gave us a double bed . When I showed them my confirmation with the picture of the room ( exactly the same), but with a king-sIze bed, they told me that they always have the same problem with BOOKING, the picture I have with the king-size bed is for an " upper grade" reservation . So why is BOOKING send me the picture if it is not the real one? They told me to call BOOKING and make a complaint. We'll I didn't because we hadn't time and will enough to start a fight between the hotel.and BOOKING.

Location great. 3 minutes from S&U bahn allowing access to all main sites, although walking distance from Br’bg gate. Immediate access to river front, many bars & restaurants. Room good size,Rituals toiletries. Left luggage facility on last day. Very clean

Lack of bedside accessible plugs to charge devices. Bathroom needed a little bit of maintenance (broken tiles) Housekeeping knocking 2 mornings in a row at 8.30 to check on mini bar, then again at 9 on check out day to clean the room. Room overlooking inner 2nd floor roof which made it dark, & roof overgrown with weeds

Room was a great size for 3 adults. The hotel was clean and the tapas restaurant was great

Despite booking a room for 3 adults and emailing the hotel in advance to confirm the additional bed, we were told on check-in ‘the extra bed might or might it be in the room, ring down to reception if not’. We would have expected the bed to already be there as we were checking in at night. Each day when the room was cleaned, the tea/coffee and towels weren’t restocked. We called down for them but they took hours to arrive.

This past August, we had the pleasure of staying at the Meliá Hotel in Berlin, located right on the banks of the Spree River. The hotel has a contemporary and elegant feel. The staff honored my request for a quiet room, which initially came with a crib we didn't need, but it was promptly removed. Our room and bathroom were spacious and well-designed. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Berlin’s most iconic landmarks. Meliá is the hotel to stay at when in Berlin.

Breakfast was occasionally crowded during certain times.

Great location and fairly easy to find, checking in, if arriving by car, could be awkward depending on traffic and time. Check in was easy and swift, I parked in the underground car park overnight, plenty of spaces but expensive at 38 euros. Room was excellent, clean and comfortable. Had the tapas meal in the bar by reception, all very good and comfortable, great staff and helpful. Breakfast was very good, great selection and comfortable restaurant. Overall excellent, would stay again.

Just the arrival by car, parking on the street outside could be tricky if busy, depends on time, but don't let this put you off.

The hotel was clean in compare to other hotels in Berlin. The air-conditioning was working decent. The bed and duvet and pillows were very good. The room was big enough and we had a little balcony but actually we had to upgrade our room to have a little balcony and I don’t know about the standard rooms! The hotel had every transportation service near it!

I think for this price it could have different breakfast with wider choices, the room’s floor was so dirty and it was always sticky that you could never step on it barefoot. Not even with socks! The bathroom was not that much clean that you use the bathtub comfortably.

Location next to all transport, easy walking to city centre, some great food places around. Second time there and room comfort and cleanliness makes it an enjoyable stay.

The only comment to make here is about the online facility aspects. The the room service menu could not be accessed via the QR code available in the room and we tried for the 3 nights we were there to open it, however it would not get all the way. Not a major deal but would have been nice to get some food in the room once or twice. Also tried to sign up for the Meliá rewards site as it allowed half price breakfast, however it came up with an error every time we tried despite checking all information was right. Probably saved us some £££ thought as we just went out and bought some local food.

Close to all sights and landmarks of Berlin Very clean

Drinks very expensive in bar Booking process through booking.com was not so good as room was booked as a twin . The hotel message you straight after booking to say they can’t guarantee room request… what’s the point of selecting this room type I hear you ask. Despite numerous emails to booking.com I’m still waiting on a response. As it turned out we did receive the room we requested but booking.com customer service leafy a lot to be desired. So in short not an issue of the hotels making but of booking.com’s doing!
