This definitely made my stay in Berlin amazing! The solo capsules is a must try. Location is very good with transport links. Thumbs up to Antonio by the reception for assisting me from check-in and my locker issue later. The hostel bar was absolutely nice especially with the service of Dominika. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in town.

Pod was comfortable. Location is really great. Hackescher Markt and Rosenthaler Platz is in walking distance. That means you have access to aweseome bars and restaurants. It is great that Generator has its own bar.

I did not like that I had to buy a padlock to put my belongings into a locker. The door to the pod cannot be locked. Bring your own padlock instead of buying a new one.

Best staff at the reception, they were all so helpful and kind. The pods are perfect for anyone looking to party all night and then sleep peacefully whenever you’d like :) overall the hostel is super comfortable and pleasant to stay at! Location is top notch, close to almost everything you need. The area is super gentrified but i also felt really safe coming to the hostel late at night. There is a washing machine and dryer at the hostel. A full wash, dry and detergent combo costs 9,5€.

Water from the taps was always super cold and the temperature wasn’t adjustable, showers were clogged at some point, floor was a bit dirty in the pod room. Also the locking mechanism for the lockers was awful and any locker could be opened no matter if it had a lock or no.

The location is great, and all the amenities are also really good, this might be my favorite place where I've stayed in Berlin. My highlight was how kind and helpful the receptionist Romina was, 10/10. This is no different from other capsule hostels, but she truly made my stay exceptional with how nice and eager to help she was. Other than that, I thought the place was clean and quiet, I could sleep with no problem. Capsules are spacious / you don't feel trapped, and I was pretty happy with the bathrooms as well (there's enough of them and they're quite clean). The breakfast is also good, there's enough options and the kitchen staff is also very kind :-)

The beds are not suuuper comfy, but in that regard it's like any capsule hostel, so I wasn't expecting it to be any different.

My partner and I stayed in a private room in the generator mitte. We have stayed at other generators before (hamburg and prezlaurberg ) and this was definitely the best one. The location is great, not too much to do in mitte but since it’s in the centre of the city it’s so easy to get everywhere. We also got a free upgrade which was amazing. The mattress was abit hard and we were only given one pillow each, but for a hostel we weren’t too bothered. I think overall it was great value for money and i’d definitely recommend it to someone who is willing to sacrifice a little bit of comfort and a lot of money in berlin!

Hard mattress, the milk and coffee in our room hadn’t been replaced it was half open coffee packets which was annoying.

The hostel exceeded my expectations for sure. I was not expecting a lot, but I felt super comfortable there. The location was perfect and at a beautiful street, the rooms were nice and so were the receptionists. The hostel is super pretty and has a modern design. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Berlin or elsewhere!

I would prefer if the rooms had one more furniture piece where you could leave your stuff for a bit, for example a mini table. It gets messy to get dressed and get ready with your stuff everywhere, especially with other people in the room, but still it is what hostel rooms look like.

Everything was absolutely perfect! We are very satisfied with Generator Berlin Mitte and we highly recommend it! The location was perfect, room was beautiful and very clean, everything was super. The stuff was very kind especially receptionist Antonis. We thank Antonis very very much because he helped us a lot with everything we needed during our staying, he helped us also with all the questions we had and he was very kind, happy, and always with a smile and ready to help! We will definitely return back to Generator Berlin Mitte!

I loved the staff! I had sprained my ankle and Sherry (I think that was her name -- Asian woman at welcome!) was amazing! She got me ice, made sure I was okay, and her and another reception desk worker remembered there was crutches and let me use them! Made my time in Berlin so much better having them help me navigate. Also loved the location -- so close to everything!

The main advantages of this structure are certainly the very central location and the value for money. The staff is very friendly and available 24/7. The rooms (I slept in a female dormitory) are just right spacious, very clean and suitable for short stays; travelling alone I can confirm that I found myself very well and safe in this solution and I also met interesting people with whom to share wonderful moments throughout my stay. Overall, people in the structure were always very kind and polite. Clearly the cleanliness and comfort of the dormitory depends a lot on who the other people who are staying there, I can say I was lucky. Its strategic location and the ease of check-in and check-out will surely make me come back to this structure in the future.

I don't find big flaws and not having explored the common areas, I can't express myself about it. It's a great hostel and for the price I wouldn't think twice about booking!

I met some incredible girls there, and we later spent the day together exploring the city and later went for a few drinks at the bar inside the hostel. Bed was comfy, rooms were kept very clean, super quiet hallways, hot water always, and was located in a very nice and safe area. Antonio was super helpful at the front desk, making my check in super smooth. Also at the bar, Leo was an amazing bartender, kept me and other entertained the whole night.
