The staff were friendly & funny, they felt authentic, people whom just be themselves and not care what people think; which I enjoyed as it gave the place more personality. The location is the best o could have stayed in, central to all the museums, clubs and restaurants, travel etc: Staff were fluent in English which eased my stay

There was no air con, there was breakfast included but I didn’t feel for me that there was much options available. The toilets are shared with a lot of people who don’t look after it while they stay, so often the floor was soaked and smelt (this isn’t anything bad in the property but maybe something in place to help keep it clean would help)

Communal kitchen which actually strives to accommodate multiple guests AND, yes, staff actively routinely clear out the refrigerators and trash bins so the space remains clean and inviting. Good Wifi for my purposes. Able to leave luggage for safe-keeping. Free coffee & tea (and water) in the lobby throughout the day. Relatively uncomplicated check-in.

Overly chatty employees; whistling is something that ought never be done on the job around others. It's an annoying activity to everyone but the whistler.

Women only dorm with ensuite wet room (with great walk-in shower); dorm & wet room both more spacious than elsewhere. Gold standard! Really helpful staff who went above & beyond what they were paid for - evidently dedicated ... a really good team! Ideal location - just minutes walk from Museuminsel & 20 mins. walk from stn or Bundestag, and easily walkable to many other city centre sites ... yet in a quiet side street Big enough lockers (& lockable with padlocks) for most folk's luggage (got a wheelie case + a medium-size backpack into mine), so = secure Decent kitchen, big enough to eat in (if not eating outside in the courtyard) Internal courtyard: open (fresh) air ... & quieter than reception/common room! 24/7 tea & coffee

The bunk beds creaked more than elsewhere, so late arrivals woke others up! No individual lights by beds, so late arrivals tended to put on main room light, and so as above ...! I personally found the muzak in the reception/common room a bit loud, but that's probably just me ... and you could escape to the courtyard or to your own room

Everything! The staff is friendly and gives you a warm welcome! Then, before checking in, they storage your luggage and offer you free coffee and tea! You can also use the kitchen and a bathroom meanwhile (life changing for changing clothes after a long train journey, for me)! About the rooms, I was in a 6 beds female bedrlom with private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean! The bathroom was nice because it had a lock for the whole space and also for each different space in it (toilet or shower), so different people can use different spaces with privacy. The kitchen and garden were nice, everything was really clean early in the morning. Of course, after being used by many guests, it gets more messy during the day. Still, it is a good hostel kitchen and they offer oil, salt, some spices, and some times even bread! They have 3 or 4 big fridges so that all the guests can have their own space in the fridge.

The only thing I would point out as an improvenent are the pans. Maybe getting some new ones would make cooking and cleaning easier. But it is only a small detail!

I loved the main lobby/lounge area. It was very cozy, and after a long night, it was a perfect place to spend a few minutes chatting with friends before they left for their own places. My room was quite alright, and I liked the graffiti on the wall. The kitchen was a nice edition and it was not very clear going to the rooms wich made me feel same in return.

I would have preferred a bathroom attached to the room itself and a hanger to hang my clothes on instead of just leaving them in the sink. Someone also stole my body wash, and sleeping was difficult due to snoring, but that isn't really the place's fault.

Lovely staff, bar area and the hostel is in an amazing location near the centre of Berlin. Close to Friedrichstrasse and Oranienburger tube stations with easy access to the airport train . I walked to all the famous landmarks from here with no problems.

The mega dorms are too big . Id cut down the beds from 20 to 10 and just charge a bit more a night . Four showers three sinks and three toilets isn't enough for 20 plus people, but for 10 is perfect . Although I must say you keep the areas very clean and I never found a shower sink or toilet in a dirty condition. Also start taking card payments on the bar not just on the hostel bookings you are missing out on so much money ! Also install some cheap curtains on the bunk beds to give guests a little bit of privacy . One last thing. Remove the boycott of American products . I dislike Trump as much as anyone but it's making it really awkward for your staff having to explain to American guests why they can stay but not buy a coke at the bar .

I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was my first time staying in a hostel and it was a great experiance. I stayed in a pod/capsule room which gave me just a bit more privacy than those sleeping in the bunks. I could lock my stuff in either a locker or just in my capsule while away and the seclusion of the capsule made it easy to sleep in while others were up walking around. Breakfast was included in my reservation, and though not a huge selection, it was still good. I got a nice bowl of yogurt with oats mix and some coffee each morning. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and from what I could tell, speak many different languages, not just German and English. The location was amazing, a 10 minute walk to either the Hackescher Markt or Friedrichstr. train stations, and a 2 minute walk to Oranienburger Straße station. So you could get practically anywhere from just a short walk. As a solo female traveler I felt safe in this place. The rooms were co-ed but I didn't get any bad vibes from the other guests. I've also seen reviews saying the bathrooms are filthy... but I can say those reviews are wrong. The bathrooms were practically spotless. I walked around the place in sock-feet because it felt so clean. In my three night stay I can assure that the staff were in those bathrooms cleaning every single morning. The lobby/sitting area also had a really chill vibe to it. They were always playing something jazzy or laid back on the speakers and the walls were painted with psychedelic art. Overall for a first time hostel-goer, I give this place a 10/10!

I don't have any complaints. Maybe the biggest downside was how squeaky the lockers were, but sometimes that just can't be helped. Of course sometimes it was hard to sleep with people walking around and talking in the dorms, but if you go to a hostel and expect total quiet in a shared accommodation like this, you are a nutcase and should have booked a private room in a hotel.

The location was good, in the center, close to Tram station The breakfast was buffet, they had a lot of vegan options The garden was amazing, people could eat there or just hang out ( a little bit sad that they close it that early)

The pillow was awful, it was nothing similar to a pillow The bed and sheets were comfy but couldn't sleep that well because of the quality The person that helped me with my check in was very rude, he was rushing me and didn't give more information about the place Personally i didn't like that all the rooms are mixed, i suggest to give the option if someone prefers a female bedroom I was lucky because in my room we all happened to be girls but as a solo traveling girl, it may be comfortable for us to be sure about the bedroom

I liked the location! Close to the metro and the room was spacious. Nice Hostel vibe. Balanced breakfast too! Good coffee.

Sometimes it got loud since a group of friends were visiting from some European country. It was noisy after the recommended quiet hours because of the group. Someone smoked Cannabis in their room and cigarettes in a restroom. But this is not the hostel's fault. A hostel employee was trying to identify where Cannabis odor was coming from which was nice.

Great hostel - in the heart of Berlin in walking distance to many of sightseeings, also easy to get from the airport with s9, - has special spirit: so nice music playing in the lobby, the stuff is friendly and always there for you, - the breakfast is simple but enough not to feel hungry teel the evening, - there is a kitchen as well where you can cook and fridges to leave food (don't forget to put the note with your room and date of departure), - absolutely safe, - tea and coffee is free, - definitely fits for travelers, who want to discover the city. I didn't have high expectations about the room but it was cosy and had everything I needed,, the bed was also nice, the only thing is that it makes sound tracking for every your movement, but I was fine with it. It's nice that there is a shower and wash stand in the room, toilet in the common area was also okay.
