This definitely made my stay in Berlin amazing! The solo capsules is a must try. Location is very good with transport links. Thumbs up to Antonio by the reception for assisting me from check-in and my locker issue later. The hostel bar was absolutely nice especially with the service of Dominika. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in town.

Pod was comfortable. Location is really great. Hackescher Markt and Rosenthaler Platz is in walking distance. That means you have access to aweseome bars and restaurants. It is great that Generator has its own bar.

I did not like that I had to buy a padlock to put my belongings into a locker. The door to the pod cannot be locked. Bring your own padlock instead of buying a new one.

Best staff at the reception, they were all so helpful and kind. The pods are perfect for anyone looking to party all night and then sleep peacefully whenever you’d like :) overall the hostel is super comfortable and pleasant to stay at! Location is top notch, close to almost everything you need. The area is super gentrified but i also felt really safe coming to the hostel late at night. There is a washing machine and dryer at the hostel. A full wash, dry and detergent combo costs 9,5€.

Water from the taps was always super cold and the temperature wasn’t adjustable, showers were clogged at some point, floor was a bit dirty in the pod room. Also the locking mechanism for the lockers was awful and any locker could be opened no matter if it had a lock or no.

Clean room, kind staff and a nice lively vibe. Also there’s a tram and S Bahn station right in front of the hostel which are very convenient

I didn’t realize but it’s a party hostel. I stayed there just because of the location and price. I stayed in a capsule which is in a basement room, but due to loud noise from the club area? and people who speak so loudly at midnight, I couldn’t sleep well. I stayed there only for a first few nights in Berlin but I wouldn’t have stayed there if I knew it’s a party hostel. Can’t imagine how bad it can be in normal dorm rooms

Photobooth- amazing, Kitchen- was confusing a bit at first but i got the hang of it. Staff- incredible, hard working and extremely helpful and adaptable to situations. They seemed tired. They should be getting paid percentages based on net revenue as bonus, they need incentives for performance and bonuses.

LIttle bit stinky in the room, but that cant really be helped, maybe some creative solutions like using breathable mattresses as materials, natural plants in rooms to deter smell, low cost solutions etc

The stay far exceeded my expectations. Online check-in and check-out were flawless—once on site I just showed ID and was done in two minutes. The whole place felt spotless, with more than enough showers and toilets so I never had to wait. My capsule was exactly as advertised: compact yet comfortable for a night, with good ventilation, sockets and a reading light. The hostel’s location is fantastic for the price—only a short walk to tram / U-Bahn stops and within minutes of several sights, cafés and bars. The common areas looked lively and welcoming, full of other solo travellers, and overall the atmosphere felt safe and friendly. For an affordable overnight stop (or even a two-to-three-day city break) I’d definitely book again.

Finding the correct dorm door was a bit confusing at first, and I only located it quickly because another guest helped me. While the capsule gives privacy, it can feel claustrophobic and it doesn’t lock—so you’re dependent on the lockers, which require you to bring your own padlock. Providing a small lock or rentable padlocks at reception would improve security peace-of-mind. The capsule isn’t spacious enough to store luggage inside, so you have to rely on those lockers or leave bags in the open while you sleep (or sleep with them if you're tiny). These are fairly minor trade-offs for the price, but worth knowing before you book.

The location is great, and all the amenities are also really good, this might be my favorite place where I've stayed in Berlin. My highlight was how kind and helpful the receptionist Romina was, 10/10. This is no different from other capsule hostels, but she truly made my stay exceptional with how nice and eager to help she was. Other than that, I thought the place was clean and quiet, I could sleep with no problem. Capsules are spacious / you don't feel trapped, and I was pretty happy with the bathrooms as well (there's enough of them and they're quite clean). The breakfast is also good, there's enough options and the kitchen staff is also very kind :-)

The beds are not suuuper comfy, but in that regard it's like any capsule hostel, so I wasn't expecting it to be any different.

My partner and I stayed in a private room in the generator mitte. We have stayed at other generators before (hamburg and prezlaurberg ) and this was definitely the best one. The location is great, not too much to do in mitte but since it’s in the centre of the city it’s so easy to get everywhere. We also got a free upgrade which was amazing. The mattress was abit hard and we were only given one pillow each, but for a hostel we weren’t too bothered. I think overall it was great value for money and i’d definitely recommend it to someone who is willing to sacrifice a little bit of comfort and a lot of money in berlin!

Hard mattress, the milk and coffee in our room hadn’t been replaced it was half open coffee packets which was annoying.

The room, ensuite bathroom and staff were great and I really enjoyed my stay. The bar was good and there were quite a few places to eat and buy food. Good location

The reception person seemed to have ignored the loud noise and shouting in the courtyard of the hostel after midnight. Our room looked on to it. As it was still noisy at 1am I had to go downstairs and ask the chap to sort it out. I was in the bar but there curfew was completely ignored. No locker that worked in my room but a nice chap gave me free access to the superior lockers for free but I had to ask each day but no fuss. Good staff

I actually slept quite well in the sleeping pod. Location is very good, and the hostel has most of the amenities you would be looking for. Staff are helpful when needed, and the hostel feels quite modern.

Not permitted to bring in your own food and no cooking facilities on-site. Lack of chill/relaxing common areas, and no dedicated sitting/common area for those staying in the sleeping pods (definitely more of a party hostel). Not enough laundry facilities for the number of guests. Also, the door closers need to be adjusted because the heavy doors slam very loudly and shake the entire building.
