Our stay at the Catalina Hotel Seacrest Inn was nothing short of incredible! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The rooftop deck is truly a hidden gem—breathtaking views, peaceful ambiance, and the perfect place to relax with a morning coffee, enjoy a refreshing beverage, or watch the sunset after a day of exploring. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained. I especially appreciated the super comfortable bed—We slept better here than we have in months (we both have sleep issues)! It was clear that attention to detail and guest comfort is a top priority at this hotel. The location is unbeatable. Everything on the island was just a short walk away—restaurants, shops, the waterfront, and all the activities you could ask for. The accessibility to everything made our trip so easy and stress-free. Overall, this place is an absolute dream. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and all the little touches that make a stay memorable. We will most certainly be back and I've already told several friends about it.

We had such a lovely stay at Seacrest Inn, and I have to give a special shoutout to Amber, who made our experience smooth from the start. She reached out before we even arrived on the island and offered to store our luggage until the room was ready. This easily saved us over 100 dollars in locker rentals. That kind of thoughtful communication made a huge difference and set the tone for a wonderful trip. Amber was sweet, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The location is absolutely unbeatable. It was a quick 5 minute walk from the ferry, and they held our bags until 4 o’clock which was perfect because our ferry left at 4:30. It was also only a 2 minute walk to the Pleasure Pier, 3 minutes to mini golf, 4 minutes to Vons grocery store, and about 10 minutes to snorkel at Lovers Cove. If you want to explore the casino or snorkel there as well, that was just a 12 minute walk. We really loved how central everything was. As for the room, the Seashell Room was much roomier and nicer than expected. The bed was comfortable, the space was clean, and the bathroom had a large spa tub with great water pressure and hot water. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing, and they even provided earplugs. We did not end up needing them because everyone at the hotel was quiet and respectful at night. We were on the ground floor with a private side entrance that led to a cozy patio area with tables and chairs where we could relax. Another unexpected perk was the rooftop access. We were able to use the rooftop space both before and after checkout. My boyfriend used it for stargazing at night and said it was absolutely beautiful. There is a table up there for meals, and it looks like guests are allowed to grill as well. Between the thoughtful staff, amazing location, great amenities, peaceful environment, and unique spaces like the rooftop and patio, this stay was absolutely worth it.

This was such a cute little hotel! Amber assisted us during our stay, and she was so helpful and kind. She walked us personally to our room, and it was spotless. The room and bedding were comfortable, the toiletries were a great quality and smelled fantastic, and it was located conveniently close to everything while being off the main strip just enough to make for a good nights’ rest.

Not really a point of dislike, but a point of consideration because some might fuss about this: it is an older hotel so the walls are a bit thin and if you have loud or heavy-footed neighbors, you will hear them. The hotel is definitely aware of this, because they even include earplugs for those of us who are light sleepers. I thought that was a nice personal touch.

This was a last-minute booking, and we were THRILLED with the location! This is a simple room with all the necessities. I can not express the outstanding value of the location. We enjoyed the rooftop in the evenings. The room was small and comfortable, the bed was a little hard for our preference, but it was clean, all we needed for our weekend getaway. We were able to walk to all of the events, including the tours and SCUBA diving. Everything was a 3 - 10 minute walk.

The bed was a little hard, and we did not find an ice machine (it doesn't mean it wasn't there).

Being a minimalist, I found the room, though a bit small, perfect for our stay. Michael was very friendly and he upgraded our room free of charge. As I mentioned, room was small but had a hot tub, mini fridge, microwave, cofee maker, iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer. Room also had A/C. We stayed two nights. Only two blocks from the island's main avenue. Everything is within walking distance.

Not that I didn't like but some rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator, so rooms on second floor will be very difficult for physically impaired people to access.

My second time to the Seacrest Inn. Room was clean, had jacuzzi bath, electric fireplace and was reasonably quiet. And the price is very reasonable. Seacrest Inn is only a block or 2 from front street, meaning many restaurants, shops, and the harbor are close by. The view from the top of the Inn is amazing, particularly at night. Rooms aren't large, but if you are in Avalon, you're not there to stay inside, except if you are sleeping.

The new tv connection locked up a few times. It was easily resolved by turning off tv and router, then restarting.

The location was perfect, close the the main area but not on a noisy road. Really enjoyed the roof top access to escape the hustle and bustle.

There was a small time period when new guests had gone to the roof at night and rearranged the furniture on the roof top. The property has clear stated hours for roof top access. This was swiftly addressed by the property manager and it quieted down again. This isn't a bad mark on the property just some young guests.

We stayed in the Sandcastle House and LOVED IT! It was hands-down one of the cutest and best executed "vintage" spaces I've stayed in. I felt like I was staying in a sailer's cottage with plenty of space and all the extras we needed like a kitchen, living room, A/C, and 2 separate bedrooms. The location and value were exceptional. I would come back in a heartbeat and bring even more friends to stay since this place has so much room! The rooftop is next door on top of the Seacrest Inn, and we brought up drinks and snacks to enjoy each night we stayed. It has 360 views of Catalina was such a memorable part of our stay.

The jacuzzi was really nice to use (if a little loud) and facilities were relatively clean. Location was convenient too, near the town center.

The main office had limited hours, and that was where some items were located such as hot water and plates. But the staff were really kind to pop down when I needed them outside of the office hours. Perhaps the Inn can consider passing a set of keys to access a separate room where those items will be stored.

This is a quaint hotel being that it feels historic. Our room had a separate entrance on the street and was great. While having a "cottage" feel, it was clean, had a microwave and refrigerator, a jacuzzi tub (we which didn't use given the water shortage), and other fine accoutrements. The roof top deck with the 360 degree view is great. The staff was very amiable and having the ability to store and access your luggage before and after checking in/out was great especially with the location a block away from the promenade and beach.

The air conditioner was good but a little loud for sleeping (but it was cool enough at night so not needed). The wi-fi was functional but on the slow side. They did not have a public restroom available in the hotel but there are good public restrooms a block away.
