Beautifully restored chateau with great attention to detail. Everything has been done to the highest standard. It felt as if every single object had been part of the building for centuries, when in fact the chateau has been renovated recently. Great spa and outdoor swimming pool. We felt the breakfast service lacked supervision as if there was no one in charge. Staff seemed to be walking around the dinning room with no purpose while the crockery in the buffet was not replenished. Very salty scrambled eggs. Even if it is part of the atmosphere they want to create I felt the staff uniforms were a bit gimmicky, though i am sure some people love them.

Stunning property with great attention to detail. The staff was particularly great and made our one week stay an unforgettable experience. From the wonderful park, to the lovely room design, you really feel like entering an oasis of hospitality and historical glamour upon entering through the property gates. Just wonderful.

While I understand that the dinner at the fine-dining restaurant is inspired by the cuisine of the era of Louis XIV, it was a little unexciting - not in terms of aesthetics, but in terms of flavour. Most dishes felt under-seasoned and over-engineered. The property aims at being your home away from home, but the good is not transporting that feeling and is sometimes trying to hard to be something that it shouldn’t be. The Barbecue on the other hand was fantastic!

I visited the Loire Valley and stayed in three different hotels, but this one stood out as truly exceptional. While all the places seemed to offer similar standards on the surface, here you can immediately feel the special touch of the wonderful owner, who clearly takes personal care to ensure every tiny detail is just right. Everything is maintained to the highest level — from the fresh, mint-scented steam room to the eucalyptus shower that feels like a true spa experience. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and welcoming, making you feel both pampered and at home. I won’t reveal all the surprises — you simply have to come and experience it for yourself. A heartfelt thank you to the delightful owner for creating such a magical place. Highly recommended!

As a small suggestion, it would be lovely to have a bar menu as an alternative to the main restaurant — something a bit more casual, yet keeping the same wonderful quality. It would offer guests an extra, relaxed option alongside the fine dining experience.

An amazing place with some wonderful and charming staff. The hotel itself has to be seen to be believed. A lovingly restored chateau - I do not like to think how much it must have cost to get it up to this standard. Frankly the price of accomodation is relatively cheap given the quality of the location. Lovely gardens, superb swimming pool, solid marble showers, period pieces, large rooms. It really is a remarkable place.

While the base accomodation is good value, additions are anything but. The dog added 30% onto the price of the room. The set menu in the restaurant starts at 90 euros per person. The wine list is amazing but there are few bottles under a hundred euros. The ambiance in the restarant is five star but the food quality is unfortunately more like two. Numerous unforced errors in the food service - my favorite was when I asked the waiter for a little more jus for my veal steak and he proceeded to pour lobster bisque over it. It was not unpleasant and made it less dry but seriously?

The hotel is located in a former castle, although the majority of the rooms appear to be located in former annexes. The rooms themselves are very attractively furnished and leave little to be desired. The main building with bar and restaurant is really beautiful and feels like a journey back in time. Right down to the small details, such as the flickering light of the candle bulbs, the illusion was very nice. The welcome was also nice and helpful staff is always at hand. Great breakfast in buffet form and very elaborate and stylishly arranged.

The decor and amazing attention to detail. Lots of antique furnishing. I stepped back in time. The staff also dressed in period costumes. Simply so elegant. The food was amazing and spa treatment was so relaxing. I wanted to be Marie Antoinette for the day: makeup, hair and dresser and photography and they arranged the whole experience so well. Thank you. Will be back to try out the other rooms. Such a tranquil place.

It has the best service I've experienced in a hotel in a long time, outstanding staff...and the overall quality of the restaurant is impressive (breakfast and dinner), with a superior wine bar ...the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with a high quality bed and accessories

The only reason it's not a clear 10 is that their Climatisation system is sub-par (in hot summer nights it is uncomfortable)...

Just extraordinary. Bravo to Madame and all her team for making such a special place exist. It's a labour of love and testament to the work required to turn a vision into a reality. Rarely have I experienced such remarkable courtesy and attention to detail in every aspect of the stay. A very special treat for all us modern day folk who yearn for the past's elegance and civility.

The night we stayed we were offered only a spontaneous barbecue which afforded beautiful sunshine and views but next time we would try the restaurant as we'd planned.

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful and truly unique hotel. It felt like stepping 200 years back in time! The entire atmosphere is beautifully preserved in the historicist style — from the hotel's décor, furniture, and tableware to even the staff’s clothing. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was well-equipped and neatly arranged, and the breakfast was excellent. The welcome drink was also a lovely touch.

Chateau was stunning, staff were exceptional. Food in the restaurant was delicious. The attention to detail was breathtaking, only wish we’d had more time to spend there.

One very small niggle, whilst the lighting in the room was very atmospheric, I personally found it a bit dark, especially on the internal stairs within the room. A few more lights would have made it perfect.
