One of the best experiences we had in Japan! The staff at Seizan Yamato are extremely friendly and helpful, doing everything they can to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was very clean, and every day the staff would check in with us about breakfast and dinner times. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We celebrated my birthday at Seizan Yamato, and they kindly offered a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and even helped us order a birthday cake. A special thank you to Mr. Ikeda and Ms. Ae for making our time at Seizan Yamato so unforgettable. We will definitely come back again!

The location isn’t the most convenient, but the hotel provides a scheduled shuttle bus to Ito Station, which makes getting around much easier.

The ryokan is rather modern, in a classic Japanese style. It has four baths, two of them outdoors, which are especially nice. We had a room with a large terrace, a little garden and an outdoor bathtub, which we enjoyed greatly. The room was spacious and beautiful. The staff was very friendly and went out of their ways to make sure we had have a good time. For example they changed the course for me, as I do not eat meat. It helps to speak some Japanese, but they are also prepared to communicate with guests who don’t.

Staff are very friendly and proactive in providing additional support. My family and I had a wonderful time spending here, the picturesque scenery, the comfortable and authentic setting in the room, the beautiful ikebana deco and Japanese arts around making this place so aesthetically appealing. The food was beautifully presented and tasted so delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much and would like to stay here next trip to Ito.

The Kaiseki dining experience was beyond exceptional. The service was outstanding. The traditional tatami room and dining in your room was an experience of a lifetime. We had our own onsen in the room which was an incredible luxury. This is the best onsen we have ever stayed in.
