Was not my original choice..was last second booking. Genius-2 price and location to where I needed to be swung my decision. Found out after I booked it is a religious owned property. Huge spacious double room 18 at the end. Large sea facing terrace. Clean modern bathroom. Air- con. Reception staff were professional, engaging and very helpful. Very honest staff i had dropped my headphones on the path outside and someone handed them back in to reception. That honesty alone is why I would definitely return. Right on the beach. Sun lounges on non_beach terrace also available if you do not want sand.

No fridge in the room. A few miles road journey time to airport...even though it is literally across the road. You have really got to like planes taking off. Location directly under take off flight path. You can get used to it.

I got a room here only for 1 night, as i had a layover until next day. The room is spacious, clean, the staff is helpful. For 1 night's stay, it's fine. The breakfast is a buffet-style and it's...ok. Nothing too fancy or elaborate. I got there 1 hr before "breakfast closing time" and i had fewer options left - they had not refilled them by the time i left. I saw that this hostel seems to be ran by a charity, with a mission to help immigrants/refugees (?) and that's nice. i am glad i could contribute to that.

It's facing the airport runway, so you hear all the planes all the time. The bed is not so comfortable. I requested a late checkout, by 1 hour, which they accepted. However, they did not tell the room keeping staff and they came at my door to invite me to leave. I explained i received 1 extra hour and they understood, but this situation should have been dealt with internally. Also, they kept the yogurt at room temp during breakfast time and ....it was not a good eating experience.

Just steps away from our room: clean, beautiful white sand beach with warm, clear water. Fantastic view of Mt Etna. We had the beach almost to ourselves. The facility and our room were clean and welcoming. Bed was comfortable.

A few simple changes would have made our stay "excellent" instead of just "OK." The building was swarming with mosquitoes. Need many more wall-mounted bug killers. Water heater in our bathroom was not plugged in, resulting in cold showers. We paid to have laundry done but the dryer didn't get the clothes dry even after several cycles. We eventually had to hang everything up to dry.

Great staff, from all over the world. Many of the staff are migrants fleeing from conflict, and they work very hard for the guests to help and assist. The hotel supports a noble cause and the staff support this by being so friendly and helpful. On the outside the place looks quite shabby and run down. However, the rooms are good. The room was very clean and well provisioned especially for the low price I paid. I thought the dinner was nice, for a low price, and the breakfast good also. I've seen others complain about plane noise. Yes, it is noisy, but you can clearly see on any map before you book that it is directly at the end of Catania's runway. Do your research before you book. Personally, I think this added interest.

The bathroom was great, however the shower cubicle was a little cramped. Also the mattress wasn't that thick. These are very minor complaints, however, because of the low price I paid for the room+breakfast (circa €55).

Spacious rooms with aircon and plenty of light, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, definitely our favourite part of the stay! A few steps away from the beach, where we can't swim, but the view is gorgeous and we had a great chill time on the loungers. The breakfast is simple but tasty, we got pizza delivered with help from the staff, and made use of their transport services which are a bargain compared to what taxis charge - the staff delivered us to the airport on time, and when we had a couple of hours to kill between checking out and leaving, they offered us an empty room to chill and watch TV. It's a beautiful place with an even more beautiful message of welcoming everyone, regardless of who they are.

We had only two issues: one was the relentless mosquitoes, which is to be expected in a property by the beach, but the pesky little things can still ruin your day; the other was the shower, we did not manage to warm up the water and have good shower pressure, and the shower box is very small. For one night it wasn't a massive issue, but if/when we return, it'd be good to have those things improved.

I recently stayed at this hostel for more than a week, and overall, it was a positive experience. The room was incredibly clean and spacious, providing a comfortable place to relax after a day at the beach. Speaking of the beach, the hostel's location is fantastic, with direct access to a beautiful beach equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. It made enjoying the seaside effortless and enjoyable. The hostel also impressed me with its sanitary facilities near the beach which were well maintained, and the breakfast offered was a great start to the day, with a variety of options to choose from.

The hostel is located close to the airport. While this is convenient for travelers, it does mean that planes fly overhead quite frequently, from 6 AM until 1 AM. This might be a downside for light sleepers or those seeking complete tranquility. Despite this, I found the overall experience to be very satisfying, especially considering the amenities and the fantastic beach access.

A little stressful on departure day, due to language barrier. Apart from this minor thing overall a good experience with lovely staff. Location is a little out the way but I knew that before - requires public transport to the centre that can be intermittent. (staff kindly gave me a lift one evening to go to a restaurant.) I had explored Catania before & this time wanted to visit mt Etna & it was nice to know the airport was a short ride away after a busy week. And the hostel provide their own taxi service at an excellent rate, a third the price of local taxis. I slept well and was happy with the good vibes in the place

What an amazing hostel; I wish I had more time to spend there! The staff is beyond amazing and make the experience the best. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. One of the staff ordered me a pizza as I had a long travel day and needed something quick and easy for dinner. I had an early flight the next morning so I missed out on the included breakfast, but was offered espresso before leaving. Excellent airport transfer. The art seen throughout is stunning. I had a very large private room with a balcony where I could hear the sea. Truly amazing experience.

I liked the location! BUT!!! That´s nothing for people they want quiet place! In front of the house 100 meter is landing runway for airplanes they landing and take of from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and makes good noice. But I loved this place and that´s why I booked the hostel. You need to have a car if you like to move on in the area because the bus is going direct in the front of the hotel but 1x in hour and has no directly connection to the airport. But the personal can bring you to the airport with their car for 15 euro. The personal is realy nice and helpful. the rooms are easy some has a terrase with sea view some not. The showers are small and the water comes just from above. Should be made it in new style.

The breakfast is very easy not so much to choose. Coffe was realy bad that´s not good steatment for italiy sorry for sicily cause everyone expected great coffe in italy but it wasn´t.

The staff is super friendly helpfull and interested in making your stay the most pleasant possible. Loved the terrace and the view from the terrace. Very spacious double room. Lovely área to sunbathe in the primate access to the beach.

Being so close to the airport and so heading the planes flying over your head is at times a bit annoying, even if at night there are no flights so you can sleep peacefully. But you would asume you could walk to the airport as you are so close but unfortunately there is no access so you still need a taxi or to walk over an hour to reached it. Would be perfect if the location co get access to the airport through the road instead of going all the way around
