No breakfast - I love this hotel...perfect location, very clean and the price is right. I love the common balcony area on each floor.

I did not get breakfast, as it was not included in the rate. I was in Room 202 for my first stay and the safe was broken. I asked if it could be replaced or fixed and it didn't get taken care of. My second stay was for 1 night in room 302. I couldn't get the shower to work and there was no bathroom light. It would be great if they would provide milk with the coffee in the lobby.

Was a little confused because the front of the hotel says "Hostel La Colonia" but was happy to learn we were in the correct spot. The location was amazing. It was on a popular street in the heart of La Colonia about 1 minute from the main square. Tons of cafes, restaurants, shops at our doorstep. The AC was very strong and the beds were comfortable. But for the price of the accommodation and the location, I was incredible impressed. We walked everywhere to discover the old city and the waterfront. Despite restoration work on the roads and building facades, I loved La Colonia and enjoyed learning about the history of the city and enjoyed the energy of the city. We felt very safe walking late at night.

The shower was very tiny so would be uncomfortable if you were a very large person. If you are a very light sleeper some of the nightlife noise could disturb you but it didn't bother us.

I liked the fact that Edward helps all the way. I arrived at colonial without a reservation after not liking the place i booked. Edward didn't have a room available but made shore I found another room at another hotel for the night. he helped me carry my suitcase to the other hotel. the rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is the best in zona colonial

The Night receptionist is rude. one bringing in friends or company to the hotel the way he looks and talk is not customer friendly at all and charging 20 Dollar extra to bring someone upstairs.

Very good value. Every floor has a nice balcony lounge where you can sit and watch the street life. They had coffee in the lobby ( although no drinking water--although maybe they had it if I'd ask). No food but plenty of places to eat near by. I picked the hotel because i needed a room with two beds. One for me and one for my son. Most hotels seemed to have only one bed in the room. Anyway the room was lovely there were two queen size beds and the price was less than others i'd been looking at that only had one bed.

there was no hot water during our stay--but that's the case in a lot of places. The bathroom was super tiny--but we were only there for one night. Really the place exceeded our expectations.

I stayed at La Colonia twice within a week. The safe was broken in my room - 202. I told reception and asked for another one but that did not happen. Regarding my second stay for one night in Room 302 - I couldn't get the shower to work, the bathroom light was out and I couldn't get the safe to work...I am familiar with safes because I travel a lot so it would be prudent to post instructions, as a suggestion.

The location alone is phenomenal! It is literally in the heart of the Colonial Zone. About a 1 min walk from Columbus PArk (where are the pigeons are). The hotel staff are all very welcoming and very friendly, from the check in crew to the housekeeping crew. All are very nice and respectful. I've stayed here before and certainly plan on staying again in the future. I arrived pretty early like about 10am, which is way earlier than check in at 3pm. The lady at the front desk remembered me from my previous stay which was very nice and I wasn't expecting. I was accommodated and was able to check into my room at about 1130 which was very nice of them to do. When handing over the key to me she said that she was able to give me the same room as last time, which again, I can't believe she remembered the room too. That type of hospitality and service is what keeps me coming back. Now getting to the room. It's a pretty standard room. The beds and pillows are AMAZING!! I like hard mattresses and my friend likes softer mattresses, but we both raved about how each our beds were super comfortable. The bathroom is the only downside to this room, it's very small. I'm. 6'1 230lbs. It's maybe the size of a "red London telephone booth". I don't put this is the "what I didn't like" section because the hotel has no control over the size of their bathroom, its already there. There rooms were very clean. The AC is AMAZING! Very convenient location close to many restaurant and the Main Street. Another good thing about the rooms is that they're located in the back of the hotel, so you don't get any of the street noises. There is a very nice balcony that you can enjoy some coffee, food, or drinks on. I've stayed at a couple hotels in the Colonia zone but this one by far takes the cake, the location is literally everything!

The staff treated me well and were talking to me almost all the time. The hotel is located, literally, in the heart of the colonial zone area, just a few steps away from the Colon Park. I can't tell you about the breakfast and stuff like that from the hotel, as I always ate outside, and the bathroom was a tiny bit too small, but other than that, everything was absolutely fine with the stay.

The bathroom very very small My husband did Not fit There was water on the floor And we stayed in the 4th floor. We did not like to take the stairs . But overall , it was a good , convenient place .

The hotel is located in the absolute most beautiful part of the city. On each floor there is a very nice terrace with comfortable chairs, excellent for spending free time

The rooms are neglected and in need of renovation.

the location is amazing! right around the corner from Parque Colon and a whole bunch of restaurants, bike rentals, and a whole bunch of nice picturesque cobblestone streets. it’s called a hostal but you get more of a hotel feel to it, which is great. each floor is accessible by a short staircase which doesn’t feel like you’re climbing too high. the AC was working good in my room and the hot and cold water was too. the young lady in the front desk was very welcoming and made the check out process fast and even asked us which floor we preferred. my room had a couple windows but none facing to the front/ Main Street, but each floor has a large balcony with about 4 seats and a table with the street/ front view.

like most of the reviews say, the bathroom is extremely small. I’m 6’1 and i had a very hard time moving around in the shower. to sit on the toilet i had to move around a certain way. to brush my teeth i had to do it with the door open because i wasn’t able to bend down with the door closed. they don’t provide water bottles in the room but they have them for sale down in the reception. when you’re room is cleaned, they turn the AC off, i guess it’s to save energy, but just remember that.
