Mark and Jan are exceptional hosts. Friendly, personable and helpful. The rooms provide everything you need, they are clean and well presented. We were very kindly upgraded before we arrived which provided us with a spacious room and very large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the linens were very clean. We enjoyed the large garden. Great breakfast with lots of choice including a full English. The guesthouse was very close to Fishguard bay which is where we wanted to be located and was just minutes drive from the town Center.

Nothing to dislike, we had a very enjoyable stay.

This was my second stay at Ivybridge so, clearly, they are doing something right! This is the perfect place for an overnight stay if you are heading back late from the ferry. It's a 5 minute drive from the port, is quiet and clean with a private car park and serves an excellent Full English breakfast.

Unfortunately, there was a strong smell of garlic in my room which I imagine came from the cooking of Chinese food downstairs. The soundproofing was somewhat lacking. I could hear every step of the guest in the adjacent bathroom even though I could tell he was barefoot. However, once everyone was in bed, it was totally silent.

I wouldn't usually book a stay at a guesthouse because I instantly think im in someone's house and can't relax properly. But after searching for somewhere to stay in Fishguard, we came across Ivybridge guesthouse and only booked after looking through the photos. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival to find that the rooms weren't in the house but were more like apartments. Which felt much more private, which I prefer when staying anywhere. The host was very welcoming and friendly and super attentive, making sure we were topped up with coffee, etc.... The breakfast room the next morning was lovely. We had full English, but there were also buffet options to choose from, which my husband and daughter helped themselves to. It was all presented very nicely. Our room was perfect with one double bed, a separate room with bunk beds, and a bathroom with a bath and shower overhead. We also had a table and chairs where we enjoyed our fish and chips and a small kitchen area. We would definitely return if passing that way again.

Very good breakfast choices including cooked. Single room (6) was good sized. Excellent power and hot water to the shower (mounted over the bath). Shower cap and certain cosmetics provided. Nice bright breakfast room. Friendly owners. Easy ample parking. Very convenient for various parts of north Pembrokeshire. Have stayed before. Would certainly recommend.

Thin dividing walks with adjoining room but didn’t find this too disturbing. Generally a very quiet place and no traffic noise as is well off the road. Tucked away.

We had to change our arrival time at short notice. Mark was very accommodating and welcomed us to the property. Mark showed us our room, which was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. The whole ambience was relaxed and my wife and I were able to rest before going out. There was a board showing local facilities with contact details. Very helpful. There was a wonderful selection available for breakfast and Jan made us each a lovely cooked breakfast. We would be happy to go back when we are in that area again.

Everything was lovely.

We have never had such personal service from a Guesthouse before. Bearing in mind we arrived at 11:30pm from the ferry, we were met personally in the car park by the owner who was waiting outside for us to arrive. He welcomed us an directed us to our room. It was not the largest of rooms we have ever stayed in, but it was very clean, tidy, and with all the facilities we needed. The bathroom was a good size and again, very clean and tidy. There was also some helpful information in the room with a 24/7 contact number of the owner on it should we need anything. A comfy double bed in a nice warm quiet room. We asked for breakfast as late as we were able which was accommodated without issue. And what a lovely breakfast spread in a lovely very clean and tidy room, and an absolutely fantastic choice of freshly prepared food, plus cooked breakfast cooked to order. All orders taken and cooked by the owners too. The owner said we could have a little extra time to check out if needed too, but all went well. On departure, we were again personally greeted, and even had the gate opened for us to get to the car. They even followed up with a message wishing us a safe journey home and hoped to see us again. I would 100% stay here again when using the Fishguard ferry.

Not finding this gem on our way out to Ireland, as we would have had a MUCH better nights sleep than we did elsewhere!

The breakfast was excelent! Very good cooked and there was a large selection of products. Room was extremely clean. Room was warm.

Only missed a kitchenette - cutlery, little plates, cutting board. Friends booked room 14 for the same price, but they have had a kitchen. We had a very bad night's sleep because there were people staying above us who were making noise until about 2 am, talking loudly, pushing things, and walking loudly. This was I guess due to the lack of soundproofing in the walls.

Our room was really nice and quiet, clean and beds very comfortable with lovely quality bedding. Breakfast was fabulous. A big variety with fruit, cereal, yogurt, continental options as well as the full cooked breakfast which was beautifully cooked. Jan came & introduced herself and asked if everything was OK with our accommodation. I mentioned that I'm very nervous of dogs and her smallish dog had been barking when I was taking things to our room. Jan was very understanding & kindly kept the dog in, so I wasn't worried when tooing & froing during our stay. I really appreciated this. Look forward to staying again.

Everything was great. As we had a kitchenette in our room, a couple of wine glasses would have been nice and a tea towel so we could wipe up the crockery that we used & washed. These are very minor points, but not complaints.

An idea location for an overnight stop before catching the ferry. Car parking was not a problem We were made most welcome by our hosts. The room was exactly as described with plenty of sockets to recharge phones and the other electrical devices we seem to need these days. Plenty of choice when it came to breakfast, which was well presented. We would definitely use again.

Everything was fine. The Stena "Fishguard" ferries actually sail from Goodwick not Fishguard. Ivybridge Guesthouse is located in Goodwick. When setting up your sat nav search under Goodwick not Fishguard.

We stayed as we came off the ferry, 5 minute drive so close. Plenty parking, very clean, modern and well kept. Very cosy, spacious comfortable rooms. Our room had another small room attached with bunk beds for kids. Tea/coffee station in room. Quiet location! Excellent selection for breakfast - hot breakfast, cold meats, cheese, cereal, juices the list continues! Friendly staff and helpful! Had Guinness on tap! Sofas in the dining area for relaxing in the evening! Kept in contact before our stay, happy to wait up for us due to late ferry, accommodating nature!

Pillows were not great (in my own opinion, minor detail). Vegetarian options available for breakfast - sausages, bacon.
