A great location in the heart of "downtown" Solva, accompanied by craft shops and the river. The sea is <10 mins walk from the inn. Breakfast was excellent and dinner was also very good, with locally caught fish & lobster the highlights. Staff and the manager in particular were very helpful.

The rooms are OK and clean but it definitely feels like a pub / restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. The common areas are a little jaded. I gather that it is the owner that has access to the Booking.com site but our request for a restaurant booking remained unanswered. That was resolved in a phone call.

Breakfast was superb. Compliments to the chef on all,our meals we had there. Locations was spot on by the local bridge . Traffic was entertaining and hotel was well soundproofed for later busier times. The owners were delightful , ready to help and please at all times. I am sure we shall return . We wish them well with their venture.

Nothing. But if we wanted to be extra picky ….I could say a safety grab handle by the bath/shower is needed……..and also perhaps a few hooks on the wall in the bedroom to hang up clothes ( when the wardrobe is full ) as there is no room by the bed for a chair etc. but this is being really exceedingly picky……..

The Cambrian Inn is a lovely, comfortable place to stay. It is relaxed but there is much attention to detail. Breakfast is included in price and there are delicious choices. The owners and chef were really accommodating to my dietary requirements and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was comfy and the shower good. Things which are important to me when I stay away!! We loved Solva itself too. Even though it’s a small village and harbour, it has lots of choice of pubs, eateries and quaint, arty shops.

Great central location for visiting Solva and surrounding areas. Food and service excellent , staff were very friendly and efficient , rooms were lovely and clean with bottles of water, tea and coffee and TV. Best breakfast I have tasted and great value for money.

Parking is limited with a few spaces outside which are generally full at busy restaurant times but public car park is only a 5 min walk away . Ceilings are quite low so be careful if your tall, and after 10pm you have to access your rooms through the side fire exit which can be a little dark, but it is well lit by actual door. Downstairs in the pub/restaurant is alarmed between 10pm and 7.30am so no access to downstairs between those times

Excellent location in Solva and really friendly owners and staff. Nothing too much trouble for them. Good choice of breakfast in the morning and great food available on the evening. We ate twice in the evenings and both times comfortable atmosphere and good food. The bathroom was spacious and included a bath/shower useful after a day walking on the coast. Really quiet location on the way into Solva.

The upstairs hallway had motion sensitive lights, on the final day the lights did not come on so was quite dark to leave. Fortunately there was another exit rather than trying the stairs

Love Solva so loved the location. The evening meal was very nice, the room was well presented and comfortable. We had a problem where by the electricity kept tripping but the young lady was very helpful and resolved the issue 3 times

Would prefer terrestrial tv to Netflix, missed not being able to watch the news. The quality of the breakfast was good but would prefer to have cereals and juice laid out. My husband was given a lovely cooked breakfast but no toast and we were not offered orange juice etc. The quality of the coffee was very good but again we had to ask if we could have another one but ingredients were very good quality and nicely cooked

Lovely family room in the loft conversion for myself and two kids, large double bed was very comfy, one of the single beds was less so but didnt dampen the few days we spent there. Breakfast was lovely and the kids enjoyed the pancakes and bacon, really good location with just a short drive from some lovely beaches (we went to Whitesands and spent the whole day in the sea after hiring wet suits and body boards)

Evening meal wasn’t bad but we preferred to find other places to either eat out or bring back to the B&B

We enjoyed two nights here in December. While the weather blustered and raged about outside we were cosy indoors in a delightful room with good company from the staff. We had dinner in the restaurant both the nights of our stay and both times the food was of a good quality and well prepared. Breakfast was a treat too. We had both the granola with berries and yoghurt and honey which was oh so very yummy and then a cooked breakfast - we tried the full cooked breakfast, excellent; and the eggs Benedict, also excellent. We would have liked to see eggs Royale on the menu too. We stayed in the room called Skomer. It felt fresh and was in lovely decorative order. I would just mention that the shower is over the bathtub, so if you don’t like climbing over the sides of a bath for your shower ask for a different room. It worked perfectly though and supplied plenty of warm and hot water at excellent pressure. We were so happy to meet, on our second day, the hosts, who had just returned from a quick day or so away. I am so sorry that I can’t remember the man’s name but we had some wonderful conversation with Hannah and have rarely met a more committed, passionate hotelier. We have everything crossed for their success as their focus on their customer and making a special experience for them at a reasonable price deserves to be recognised.

As mentioned above would have liked to see eggs Royale on the breakfast menu but I do think if we’d given notice it would have been arranged so not a big dislike

This stay was perfect. Solva is beautiful and The Cambrian Inn was the perfect place to stay. The room was great in every aspect. The breakfast menu was small but more than adequate, it was perfectly presented and delicious. Evening meals were also fabulous. All the staff were amazing. This really is a lovely place and we will definitely go back.

The Cambrian is a lovely hotel just a short walk from the coastal path. It is obvious that it is well cared for and the staff was so kind. We had dinner in the lovely dining room and our breakfast was the best of our two week trip. The village of Solva has a nice selection of charming shops to explore. Perhaps it’s in future plans but a wood burner would be a cozy and ambient addition to the dining room one day.
