10/10 value for money and staff were lush. 5min walk from St davids. Room was clean and cosy. The shower was fab and the towels were soft. Loads of places to eat and drink near by and our dog was made very welcome. Lovely inclosed bear garden to enjoy the brids and sunshine. Great night sleep and we had coffee kit for the morning. Really can't fault it. We will be back!

That we couldn't stay longer :( it was so nice, we were sad to leave. I really can't think of anything bad.. some other reviews say the place needs a face-lift but I thought it was fine and if anything, it had character!

Staff very friendly and the relaxed atmosphere was welcome. Room was airy with a pleasant outlook. Location opposite the tourist information centre and stops for coastal walk shuttle buses and the T11 bus to / from Haverfordwest train / bus stations hard to beat. Quiet as located a short distance away from the main township area with its day-tripper and (I assume) some nighttime factors. Did not notice any noise from hotel's bar / restaurant. Did not sample the breakfast offered as the 8:30am start did not suit my planned activities.

As a last minute booking we were really pleased with the location and facilities. We arrived early so couldn't check in, but we were able to leave the car in the car park until later. Cariad was an absolute star, she was so friendly and showed us to our room and explained the after hours arrangements for getting into the accommodation. The room had pretty much everything you'd need for a few nights and was comfortable and a decent size. We ate in the pub and although the table service app didn't seem to be working properly, the meals we ordered were very good. I asked if the chef could find me a good piece of steak which he did. Again, Cariad looked after us and was a credit to her job and the company.

The rooms could do with some modernisation and a bit more attention to cleaning. The bathroom, as with many hotels, could use some more shelves and towel hanging hooks or rails.

The location was just perfect...we arrived to a warm welcome from all the staff and our rooms were lovely and warm and very clean and we had everything we needed. We went with our family and all the rooms were lovely. We ate that evening the meals were great value and delicious We slept really well, and breakfast was well presented and had plenty of choice.. We spent 5 days at the hotel and we saw in the New Year the gala evening meal was out of this world along with the atmosphere we really enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to return... Carla and her team were outstanding and not forgetting the very friendly and helpful Norma. Nothing was tok much trouble well done all, and thanks to the chief and his team for keeping us well fed.

Great feel to the building and surroundings, especially the garden and parking area. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Helped to carry luggage upstairs. The view from room 7 was lovely and relaxing. The food was good and available all day long. This is a big bonus. Excellent location to city and countryside. The access to lounge, bar and restaurant was easy. The restaurant was kept spotlessly clean and was very beautiful. The building was kept generously warm.

The corridor to the rooms needs upgrade and could do with some art work. The background music was intrusive and monotonous. No biscuits in room. The landing could have have a replenishing table for milk etc. There could have been a spare toilet roll.

Parking – Good. Location for sightseeing Saint David’s - Very Good. Food (standard pub fare) & drinks served all day and prices are lower than average for the area. Cleaning – excellent. Staff helpfulness -- excellent. (special mention to Kara who went above and beyond to make sure a stranded young woman got home safely – taxi services are patchy, which is another reason to stay in Saint David’s and not outside). Décor is of a mixed standard. Public areas are well maintained. Rooms are an odd mix of new and old with new wallpaper and mirrors, but old doors and carpets. Comfort – Bed was comfortable, neither too soft nor too firm. Rooms were warm at all times (they are not stingy with the heating like some places). Secret (walled) garden is lovely and would be a highlight in the summer Overall, the good outweighs the not so great. It’s worth what you pay.

Decor. Particularly worn carpeting, which could be a trip hazard.

Staff were really helpful and polite, fab breakfast and the location was great 15 minutes walk to the beach and just 2 minutes walk into town so you were away from the masses of people as St David's is a lot more popular than it was 30 years ago.

Everything was good but more staff required during busy periods the summer months and the hotel needs a bit of TLC, could be a goldmine. The main bug bear had to be no real coffee in the morning, freeze dried it's like the 1970s come on.

The Grove Hotel was in the perfect position to explore both sides of the beautiful city of Saint Davids, from Whitesands beach at one end of the city to Caerfai Bay at the other! The hotel was so very comfortable and clean.and the staff were totally open, helpful and non intrusive. We have stayed in Saint Davids many times. The Grove Hotel has uni become our perfect and only place to stay from now on. We walked from Solva to Caerfai Bay, and the short walk back to the hotel was such a treat. We walked straight into the beautiful walled Beer Garden, and ordered lunch! The manager took her time to speak with us, we did tell her that this time at Saint Davids, has been our very best. Our sincere thanks to her and all the staff.

Good location for our visit to St. Davids. Our understanding was that the hotel recently had a management change so still a work in progress but overall, our stay was good. We had several meals in the cafe located in the hotel and felt that the food was good. No elevator or AC but temps were cool and we left window open at night.

Our travel to St. Davids happened to be when the birds take to the trees next to the hotel for mating season so could be heard from sunup to sundown and they were loud. At least we knew they were mostly quiet after dark so we were able to get some sleep:)

Our ensuite family room over Christmastime was spacious, clean, comfortable and was just perfect. Parking was onsite and very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed comfort was sublime and the room at the rear ground floor was quiet, allowing a restful break. Continental breakfast was very good. The cost was exceptional for the quality of the facilities

Nothing, even the weather was mild. Staff efficiency and attention to a minor payment issue was first class.
