The resort counts with multiple restaurants, bars, the beach was beautiful and the staff was very nice

The rooms definitely need a good update. To be in such an iconic resort, the rooms look from the 90’s

We thought everything about this resort was terrific. The facilities are lovely, with a compact/cozy feel compared to some other resorts we have stayed in, but we really loved the chilled out vibe and different zones (quiet pool, party pool, coconut grove, and beach). The offshore island was a really special highlight too. Our butlers Dijon, Dylan, and Denise were lovely as were all of the staff. And we thought the food was very nice (highlights were La Plume breakfasts, Gordon’s steak, Kimonos teppanyaki, and Kanoo Caribbean lunches). We would 100% stay here again and we are honestly mystified by some of the negative reviews. We have travelled the world over and eaten in 1, 2, and 3 Michelin star restaurants and we thought everything was perfectly lovely.

The resort is on the small side, which was perfect for us. The private island is the best part, I highly recommend spending at least one full day out there. All of the food was excellent. Espresso martinis and the piano bar were perfect! Overall a great stay.

The beach at the main resort isn’t great. The restaurants requiring reservations were booked full the whole time we were there. The resort isn’t close to downtown Nassau and we found the public bus system was unreliable on a Saturday.

Great atmosphere - great resort and good restaurant. I loved the daily boat for the private island where snorkeling is also included.

if you have dairy intolerance or allergies the hotel staff is not really trained to understand contamination might kill you. BE CAREFUL as I have had a couple of accident. finally after 6 nights a professional chef managed to cook a diary free muffin for breakfast - I literally had no dessert in 6 days and I am not expecting this service from a 5 stars resort. It needs to improve on the night activity as it is very boring after 10pm.

For a 12-night stay, there is too much to detail, so I'll stick to the best bits. Breakfast at La Plume, lunch at Tesoro or at Aralia House on the private island, dine at Soy, Butch's or Kimonos. Spend your evenings in the cocktail lounge listening to Mr Leadon, the pianist, and bar tales from the gregarious Geren - he can mix more than is on the menu. Book your dives and snorkeling with Brian at the aqua centre, spend quiet days by the East pool and noisy ones in the West, where volleyball, shooting hoops and non-stop DJ mixes are the order of the day. You can swim anytime you like - best between 07:30-09:00 or after 20:00 if you want it to yourself for lengths. Earn that breakfast! :) Most staff are polite and eager to help. Be likewise, relax and enjoy their hospitality. We made some great new friends from the US during our stay, who we hope to see again. A few shout-outs to the staff who made us smile and feel especially welcome: Tekeesa, Deondra and Sandy at Tesoro, Serena and Tara in Soy, Mikie and Deshon in Butch's, Rose in La Plume, Ellwood doing the rounds, The Playmakers Zoe, Travis and Giovani, the irrepressible Dante from loyalty, Brandysha in reception, Raymona from Calico, Geren and LJ in the bar, and the lovely Inez from the Red Lane Spa. I'm sure I'm forgotten some people, so apologies to them. Top tip: Take a power converter with you (it's not a standard US or UK design socket) and then plug in your own 4-way extension lead for all your gadgets to use your normal power sockets.

The occasional offhandedness from a few staff - no idea why but everyone has a bad day now and then. I guess we like to know info up front to make plans. There is a laid-back vibe that sometimes leaves you feeling you don't know what's going on, where to go or how to do something - like it's on a need-to-know basis, but maybe we were too uptight!

Private island, facilities

Cocktails too sweet, evening entertainment could have been a lot better. Had no idea about morning yoga and tennis lessons etc which would have made a major difference to our stay. Only found out by stumbling to the tennis courts, we got no tour around the hotel for us to see everything that was available to us

The food and service was excellent. It was nice to be at an all inclusive where there were a lot of offerings such as restaurants and bars but it wasn't super spread out. The private island was wonderful and peaceful so I highly recommend.

The rooms are a little outdated and the bed wasn't very comfortable. They should take the time to update the mobile app when things change.

Great location with a lovely beach, rooms in the West Bay are newly refurbished and modern. Numerous restaurants to choose from with a decent standard of food. Great drinks. Private beach is lovely and worth a visit. Gordons was probably the best meal we had. Having a butler made a lot of difference - private transfer, they make restaurant reservations, reserve sunbeds etc.

Nothing really, although on our last day our keys stopped working before we checked out, we were given access to a room to shower in that was dubiously clean and the wifi access is cut off after check out even though we had another 7 hours to kill before our transfer to the airport.

Breakfast was good. I especially enjoyed omelets. It would be nice to have a little more variety on choices. Maybe pancakes and waffles and eggs Benedict. Staff and restaurants were great.

The butler phone could of been charged up daily or given charger since part of the week we were unable to contact our butler.

the setup of the swimming pools, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. At 11,00am the pool boys would take the unused towels away from the sun beds. this was great because many people place their beach towels at 07.00am and never show up. Keep this procedure going!!! Always enough availability in the restaurants although Christmas time. staff very friendly and helpful. plenty of food and varieties.
