There was plenty of storage and hanging space in the room. The fridge with its complimentary mineral water was a pleasant surprise. The air conditioning in the room was wonderful. There was no limit to the number of breakfast items I could order (or if there WAS the charming waitress ignored it!) The guest lounge was very comfortable.

I had to push the door very hard to enter the room. It was not possible to shut the door into the bedroom (the carpet got in the way). There was no safe. The towel rail was dangerously hot first thing in the morning. The room was not serviced on the Sunday. I'd have preferred a pot of tea at breakfast to a cup of tea with a tea bag! It was quite pricey, I'd have expected a cheaper rate for the Sunday night.

The Hotel Ocean was great hotel for access to the Beach , shops ,attractions and transport. Great meals , varied menu for Vegan ,Vegetarian and meat eaters too. Bedroom very clean wit t.v and tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits ,tea ,coffee and biscuits topped up each day also bottles of water. Bed linen spotless.Bathroom very modern and clean with lovely towels .Manager and staff very pleasant and great customer service. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. Lovely decking to sit outside with a coffee to watch the world go by. Would definitely stay again.

We spent 1 night away celebrating a friends birthday. Location was 1st class, close to bars and Yarmouth high street. An on street parking permit was supplied by the hotel and we parked up only a couple of minutes away. The room decor was of a high standard with tea making facilities, choice of tea and coffee sachets and a mini fridge with bottles of water. Our view was across the rear of rooftops and Yarmouth's church in the distance which was pleasant. Staff were attentive and the lounge area with bar facilities felt luxurious with lovely seating and decor. Breakfast AI was delicious and we couldn't fault it. Would definitely visit again.

Our room was located at the rear of the property so was overlooking the roofs. The window was slightly high up (needed to stand on the soft chair to look out of window) but this didn’t bother us as we were only staying 1 night. We had to close the window during the night as there was some kind of machine making a noise.

As usual from start to finish simply tip top-all the staff did a great job from booking us in quick/ polite / very professional . Nothing is too much trouble .this is simply the best hotel in Great Yarmouth and that people is a fact . Then we was waited on by Shannon now there is a ray of sunshine very cool / polite / then chuck a a great dose of humour in what a start to the day and bravo to all the staff this place is the place to be ,so get booking cheers alan

Matt was a fantastic host, registered our car for parking and checked us in efficiently. Allowed us to check in early too which was a great bonus. Great local knowledge too. We had the sea view suite and it was really great! Tastefully decorated and furnished, as was the rest of the hotel. The view from that room is superb! Had breakfast in the morning and it was equally impressive. The lady who served us (I believe her name is Angie) was really warm, welcoming and attentive. The food (a full English) was of a high standard, used really good quality ingredients and well cooked and presented. If you're visiting Great Yarmouth, I definitely recommend a room at Hotel Ocean!

No bar/restaurant when we stayed. Given the great quality breakfast, I would have been happy to give them some more of my money for dinner and evening drinks!

The hotel was very well presented, but it is still a little tired in places. I think that new carpets are required on the hall stairs. We stayed in bedroom 5, and I was not comfortable taking my shoes off. The owner Tom was lovely and very friendly. The breakfast was lovely and Megan was very friendly and attentive. The music at breakfast was fabulous and the view of the prom was nice.

I do think that the owners are working their way through the hotel, so without knowing their plans, I would not like to comment. The hotel has great potential; it is just tired at the moment.

Very well appointed Hotel. Great location for the Sea Front, Promenade and Hippodrome Circus (our reason for visit). Very good Breakfast. Hotel Staff extremely attentive and friendly.

The Car Parking arrangements were good, from the point of view of being complimentary "residents " permit...But the area behind the Hotel is quite run down, unfortunately....so this was a concern leaving the car in this area. I understand the Hotel Owners are trying to assist as best as possible...And this Hotel is the outstanding one in this location.

The decor and location of the hotel is amazing. The staff, hotel owner Tom and his delightful wife couldn't do enough to ensure all guests were catered for. Their local knowledge regarding things to do and visit during our stay together with recommendations of the best restaurants to visit was second to none. All this on top of the fact that Tom and his wife had only completed on the purchase of the hotel just over a week before our stay. For that reason, the restaurant was not fully operational, but I had the pleasure of a sneak preview of their full menu, which will be operational later this week when the new chef starts. The proposed menu looks divine. Breakfast is unbelievable, a great selection to cater for all tastes, I highly recommend the butcher sausages 😋. We are definitely coming back and already we have highly recommended the hotel to our friends.

The rain!!

The room was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was incredibly good, lots of different options and the location was right next to the beach and Brittania pier. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The toilet seat was smaller than the toilet, uncomfortable to use. Cleaning staff could be more attentive and replace toiletries automatically rather than wait for us to inform the hotel that loo roll and shower gel has run out. The duvet cover had small red stains which the hotel should replace with new bedding.
