We were greeted by the friendly owner, Our room was large by typical European standards and well appointed. The bathroom was also large and well stocked. The facility has 4-5 rooms which we pecked in a couple others that looked equally nice. The property has been recently renovated so every thing was fresh. The breakfast room is delightfully furnished and comfortable. The food offerings were substantial and fresh. The owner/host will make eggs, etc. The sitting area is comfortable. There is free parking which is a plus while public for-fee parking is near by. The location is near all the major attractions and the host made good restaurant recommendations.

Drawback-the bathroom light goes on automatically when the door opens. Not major, but not helpful at night. A night light would be more appropriate in our view.

The St Georges IV is a small, elegant, boutique hotel closer inline with a guest house. The host was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. She was up early and had prepared a wonderful light breakfast with pancakes and eggs. There was a moderate selection of breakfast items very well presented with seasonal charm. The room I booked was called “The Safe” due to the presence of an old style safe which housed the bar and refrigerator. The room was spacious with a king sized bed, a lounge area and a writing desk. The bathroom was immaculate and featured a Japanese toilet with a wireless remote. A very nice room.

Parking for the hotel is on the street. Though not a real problem given the free parking from 1800 to 0900, it does add some complications if you plan on touring the town on foot.

The owner offers a perfect hospitality in a sublime setting. We felt really welcome from the minute we've entered the hotel and that we were encountered personaly by the owner. The building combines historical elements with contemporary lighting and furniture, creating a very nice setting and fantastic atmosphere. Very light and clean bathroom equipped with a rain shower and foreseen with all of the toiletries. Very comfy bed within a nice and clean bedroom. Breakfast was prepared with care and focus on providing the guests with all that one can wish for. The lounge offers a very cosy place to have a drink. The hotel entree is a piece of art.

We've only stayed one night and this is certainly a place where we could spend more time.

The hotel location is fantastic, very close to the main square with many restaurants and historical sites ; of course the Menin Gate. Our bedroom was very comfortable, with a fridge and coffee making facilities. The staff were very attentive and always available if needed. The parking was easy, charged at 15 Euro per night and right at the hotel entrance. I would definitely recommend this property.

Nothing! We liked everything about the property.

The owner was really friendly - contacted me by text to confirm when we were due to check in, offered to help with our bags and ready to offer advice regarding parking. The room was exceptional with a wonderful view - the photos really don't do the place justice! It smelt lovely too and really clean. Electric curtains and shutters, comfortable bed, lovely large bathroom with his and hers sink - just beautiful! Breakfast was a nice relaxed affair and very personal too. We had freshly made pancakes and were offered eggs of our choice. Only downside was we were only stopping for one night.

Nothing - it was all brilliant.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel, one of the best we have stayed in. From the kindness shown when we enquired about an early check-in through to the incredible breakfast, we were blown away by this hotel. We were made so welcome and the host couldn’t have been more helpful, even selling me some stamps and offering to post my cards. The building has been restored to the highest standard and the quality of the fixtures and fittings is exceptional. There is real attention to detail in everything and so many little touches that make it a very special place. The location could not be better to explore Ypres and the secure parking was important to us given we had travelled by motorbikes. We would only ever now stay at this hotel should we come back to the area. In fact we are now planning our next visit just so we can stay here again.

Nothing at all - you can’t improve on perfection.

I have stayed in many hotels during 10 years of traveling but this one goes far beyond all other ones! It starts with the very friendly lady of the house who gives you a warm welcome, then you enter a very clean and well designed room with comfortable beds, a good rest during the night because it's very quite, and it ends with a perfect breakfast where you find a great variety of fresh food and drinks. Parking in front of the hotel is very convenient and all restaurants are within a few minutes walking distance.

Nothing!

Everything was first class from the moment we entered the property until we left it was outstanding in every way. The owners were on hand to meet us, they explained everything about the hotel, nothing was left to chance. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

There was nothing that didn't exceed expectations

One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Very tastefully designed, large, quiet room; extremely comfortable bed; tea and coffee facilities; fluffy towels and bathrobe; rain shower; Rituals toiletries. Lovingly prepared delicious and plentiful breakfast. Veerle is a gracious and attentive hostess who was happy for me to arrive early and check out late.

I’m not a fan of the high-tech Japanese toilet but it’s certainly not a deal breaker.

The super welcoming owner, the beautiful building & decor which all added to the wow factor of this fabulous hotel. The most comfortable bed ever with lovely, cotton bedding & the ensuite bathroom was fabulous (Japanese toilet included!). Breakfast was so good, everything you could want was provided. It is also a perfect location for visiting Ypres. Would highly recommend.

Nothing negative to say at all
