Perfect location for walking around the old city centre and easy to reach from the train station. Excellent sound-proofed windows overlooking the street, with outside shutters to cut down the light. Modern bathroom with good hairdryer. Our large room had an air conditioner. Elisa was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the variety at breakfast and freshly percolated coffee.

We found the creaky floorboards annoying, but understand the difficulty of renovating such an old building and maintaining its period character.

Superb! Half a block from Piazza Duomo. The bed was great, the single was roomy for one, the hot water plentiful, the Wi-Fi unfailing. I greatly enjoyed living here for three and a half days. Elisa and Carlo were welcoming and helpful with restaurants and sights, and this place, though it’s a B and B, has the advantage of a hotel: if you’re having trouble, the manager is there. It’s a lovely old building with thick walls, so you don’t hear your neighbors unless they’re being noisy right in the corridor, and you don’t hear the main square. There’s no elevator, but the three stair cases are each very brief with good handrails. I didn’t try the tv. I should note that walking past the open door of an unoccupied double, I saw it was very spacious.

The liquid soap —a problem so easily remedied, I’d forget to do it.

It had old world charm, with modern facilities. As you step through the entrance doorway from the street you can feel you've entered a noble old building. Hearing the hustle a bustle from the street below is delightful and when you want to shut the noise out, the windows close and there's a lovely quiet room. The location is handy for the attractions of Trento and just a short walk from the railway station. All communications with the host were prompt, professional and very helpful.

Would have been nice to have a kettle so i could start the day with a cup of tea 😉

Lovely welcoming host and yummy well curated breakfast. Delicious coffee!! Excellent location with easy walking distance to absolutely everything as visitor you would want to see. Easy short walking distance to the train station. Large spacious room and clean. Incredible historic building!

There was a lot of noise transfer between our unit and the one we shared a bathroom wall with. It was easy to hear everything going on in their bathroom. Our shower stall was 'very' compact ... someone of good size would find it an interesting experience. Good amount of noise transfer from the hall especially if other guests that are coming and going aren't necessarily being aware of their inside noise levels. The bed was comfortable for my husband and I but only if we stayed right to our sides otherwise you would 'fall' into the middle (bed probably needs to be looked at and a new one brought in).

location, owners/staff, facilities, room (I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that) Apologies for the late review, but I told myself I must write a very positive (and honest) review especially since the owners/staff members were just one of the kindest people I've ever met. I can never forget their genuine love, support, and warmth, serving their customers like family. I felt really blessed staying here. Everything was just perfect from the people, food (many good restaurants around), location (very close to Piazza Duomo, COOP supermarket, and my conference site), etc. With 2 cathedrals nearby, it's like God's blessing and protection. :) To the owners (a young couple; sorry for missing your names), I wish you all the best in whatever you do. We like everything about our stay at Al Cavour 34. From our wonderful host, Elisa, her beautiful and comfortable large room, and her help with sites to see, which included providing us with a Trentino Card. After all of that, she even put together a small breakfast bag for us as we left too early for home for having eating in the dining room! The location of Al Cavour 34 was wonderful! Her lovely establishment is only a 6 minute walk to the train station, 2 minutes to the Duomo, and only 12 minutes to the Castle. Trento is a beautiful small mountain city and I will try very hard to visit again. If I do, Elisa, you will be seeing me there!

Very warm welcome from Elisa, who checked me in, showed me to my room (thanks Elisa and Carlo for meeting my room request :) and gave me some tips for where to eat on my first night. Fabulous breakfast available for guests, which is good value for money. Loved my room, everything was spotlessly clean and the room was serviced each day, which I wasn't expecting. Elisa was an excellent host and I would definitely recommend this B&B. Location is perfect too!

Only minor issue for me was that the beautiful parquet floors make quite a lot of noise when you walk on them, which made me feel like I might be disturbing other guests at night. But this isn't a complaint, just a quirk of the historic building!

The people of the hotel were very friendly and helpful and cooperative. The location is just perfect, very close to the station and the city centre. Though my room was facing a tourist street, it was surprisingly quiet (I closed the windows and exterior shutters). The breakfast was one of the best. Self made cakes for breakfast is just nice. There was a good variety as well. I really enjoyed the stay and I would go back to the hotel if I have a chance to visit Trento again.

Old building well maintained and lots of character. Certainly not a cookie-cutter modern hotel yet had all the modern facilities. Very big room with original wooden floors and old-style furniture. Host was very helpful and provided a lovely breakfast round a shared table, nice touch. Secure private parking around the back of the building. The inner entrance courtyard was like stepping back in time.

It was odd having the bathroom separate from the bedroom. But it was an ancient building, so a small detail.
