The location was great, overlooking the lake. Unfortunately it was raining hard, so no water activities. The room itself (17) had no view of anything to speak of. The staff was quite friendly and late check-in was no problem. The breakfast had a wide selection and was worth rising early to sample everything.

The room without a view was unfortunate, it could have been priced lower than the others. And the dismal weather. But some things cannot be changed.

Absolutely top family-owned hotel directly at the sea, with a beautiful view onto the lake, the mountains and the city of Gmunden. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they even took care of our special request, some gluten free bread. We will never forget our stay here and will definitely come back again for a longer period.

Parking can be challenging at the hotel, I assume restaurant guests (who eat only without staying here overnight) also occupy some space. But you can park on the street within the marked area and the hotel provides an official allowance for free parking, ask for it right at check-in. Overall we can't say anything negative, it was a beautiful stay there.

Location was great with view to the lake. We had an amaizing dinner at the restaurant!💜

Bed was not ok, my back felt every loose spring in that matress. While my husband slept really well. Missing a curtain in the bathroom window, felt like neighboes can see me

The location, service, room and food! Everything was perfect. Special thanks to the personal of the hotel and restaurant: kind, polite and very helpful. We were travelling with a baby 6.5 month and enjoyed every moment in the hotel!

I know this hotel well. I stay there when returning from motorbike trips to the Alps. A family-run hotel with very good food and comfortable rooms overlooking the lake. You feel the atmosphere of a place managed for years by the Grunberg family. It is a pleasure to return here. Close to the lake and the lifts to the mountains. Like the whole lake area an excellent holiday destination. Recommended for motorcyclists!

Extremely kind and always helpful staff. The hotel is led by the family very professionally so that each guest gets proper attention. Absolutely smooth check-in and check-out, despite the fact that the hotel was full of people. They should give lessons to other accommodation providers, who are often lacking efficiency and ability to take care of their guests so well.

- The location and the view is awesome, lake view and in a quieter place, but not too far from activities. Lot to do and see in the area. - The stuff were one of the nicest, very warm people from the reception to the waiters in the restaurant. I really loved the attention they gave to each person. - The cost vs service is really great, the restaurant food os delicious while still not too expensive. I had a 2 course meal for 17 euros including drink, with great views & caring stuff. - There's water activities just in the front of the hotel, boats, bikes can be rented. Hiking opportunities are there as well.

- Location, while it is in a beautiful location, it's not reachable with public transport. So you must have a car or rent a not so cheap taxi.

Breakfast was excellent.. on a terrace overlooking the lake.m.. staff also very attentive..n.I do have a problem, wherever I go, due to travelling alone… if I leave the table, to,go for another course of food, or visit the ladies, it is often assumed I am finished, and table is cleared… would be nice to have a little card to place , saying … not finished. Everything else was perfect for me., swimming area, highly recommend this place.

Very nice hotel next to Gmunden lake, from windows of the room you can see beautiful lake. Nice place to stay. Also staff - hotel owners works here and they are very helpful. Breakfast was very good and taste.

Gorgeous and right on the lake, with a beautiful view of Schloß Orth and the Esplanade. The restaurant is excellent, and there is something for everyone on the menu.
