The breakfast and the lunch I had in the restaurant were perfect. They even offered smoked salmon, and fresh nuts and fruits in the buffet breakfast. I had a view of the old town hall, which is beautiful, and could hear the ceramin bells chiming their wonderful sounds.

The room was too hot and it was only 10 degrees outside. I would have like to open the window, but drunk people having fun on the town hall square were making too much noise to sleep. Also, the water from the shower was running under the glass wall and flooded the floor of the bathroom. It should be repared.

A bit Quirky, But old style. Lots of history. Excellent family atmosphere. Friendly staff. Spoke great English as my German is so so. Received a room upgrade. Nice touch. ("Hello Lufthansa how about an upgrage too"). Food fine. Great breakfast. Beef sausages would be a winner. One of the best hotels I have stayed in the last ten years at a reasonable price for location and standard. My room had a good view over the main square which was great.

Coffee, tea facilities in room would be nice.

Not my first stay and I was again totally delighted with the room allocated - with a balcony overlooking the lake - very peaceful and relaxing. Excellent wifi signal, nice bathroom and good TV channel choices. Good food in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. An historical building and all in all, very good value. I shall therefore continue to return to the Schwan when overnighting between Vienna and Salzburg.

A complimentary bottle of water and a safe would be welcome.

It has a very nice location, I’m Gmunden Center, in front of the lake with an incredible view on the lake and mountains. The breakfast was in a classical style and had more possibilities as in other hotels.

The furniture are a little bit old and the windows need some repair

Charming classic hotel in an excellent lakeside position. The superior room had a lovely view and a small balcony. The restaurant was very good. Worth staying in. And we were lucky enough to get one of the few parks in the hotel parking space. Recommended

The location was excellent, just at the main square. You can reach to the hotel by tram in 5-10 minutes from Gmunden train station. The restaurant was decorated authentic and so nice. The room was cozy and heated so well. The balcony with the lake view was amazing. The staff was welcoming, kind and helpful. I will definitely come back again during spring time with my husband.

Wi-fi in my room was basically non-existent Parking wasn't really available, there are very few parking spots around the hotel and the alternative is quite pricey garage quite far

It is an excellent location with amazing views of the lake. The breakfast was great, really tasty fresh Brötchen. It's an ideal place to stay if you're planning a hike in the area. I highly recommend visiting the "Baumwipfelpfad Salzkammergut" observation deck.

Excellent location, staff, service, view, breakfast and lunch. Non stop restaurant was excellent on lakeside. Parking was convenient. Other optional services such as laundry was exceptional as well. Tour booking also available.

Staff were very helpful, rooms overlooked the lake , were clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and varied.

Due to the changing weather, a fan in the room would’ve been appreciated.
