An opportunity to stay in a historical building with magnificent medieval features but with all the comforts of modern living. We stayed in the family suite which could easily sleep 6. Loads of space and a lovely view of the courtyard. We made use of the lovely little pool in a walled garden and enjoyed fabulous breakfasts prepared by Falco (who is extremely helpful) with a fabulous view of Avignon across the River Rhone. Villeneuve-lès-Avignon itself is a beautiful quiet historic town with lots of restaurants, cafes and stunning architecture.

Quirky historic property within easy reach of Avignon with a lovely view of the city from main courtyard , breakfast room and Superior suites .Our host Folco went above and beyond ensuring we were comfortable and providing local advice as well as the relaxed morning continental buffet breakfast with excellent cheeses , ham, fresh fruits and squeezed juice plus his signature “ Cafe au lait par excellence.” 🤩 Hot summer days of exploring were capped off with a lovely swim in the quiet walled garden and pool area across the village road …..typically Provence plantings give it a very relaxed country ambience . A short walk into the very charming village of Villeneuve where there is a choice of over a dozen restaurants to wander between as well as great walk up to the medieval Fort Andre and old Abbaye complex .

The whole place was very old and charming but with modern appliances and conveniences. Breakfast was very nice with a reasonably good spread. The host was very helpful right from parking the car and explaining all the facilities. The pool also looked inviting but we couldnt use it because of limited time

The kitchen door could not be shut properly and the outdoor furniture could be a bit more comfortable

The host Folko was absolutely lovely, helpful, considerate and proactive. He truly made.the stay lovely. Breakfast was quaint and authentically French, and we enjoyed it in lovely surroundings on the patio. The location of the property is so convenient for a stroll into Villeneuve, or across the river to the old town.

The accommodation is beautifully rustic so may surprise anyone who is expecting a modern hotel. We had no issues with it though.

This hotel is in a very old building and has lots of charm. The views are spectacular, the breakfast was nice and satisfying. Falco made very good coffee. He was also very helpful, lugging our heavy bags and parking the car in the VERY tight space. The rooms have some nice antique furniture and are comfortable, but a little rustic. I found the bed and pillows comfortable. The location is excellent. Close to Avignon and a short walk down the hill to Villenueve, a cute little town.

The only mirror in the cottage was in the bathroom, which made getting ready difficult with 2 women sharing. Mirrors in the bedrooms would be so helpful! We found the shower to be a bit challenging. There is no curtain and the shower head is not mounted on the wall, so we had to sit in the tub and hold the nozzle. It was also difficult to get in and out of the tub. It was very difficult for my elderly mother. Adding some grab bars would be a simple solution. I would also caution people that the grounds are covered in pebbles and are a bit uneven. This is not a big deal for most, but my mother had to navigate carefully. That said, I would 100% stay here again and recommend it.

Only stopped for one night and wished we had spent more time there to enjoy the tranquil surrounding and space. Also, wanted to say a big thank you to Folco, who went out of his way to get some really good gluten free bread from my friend who is Coeliac, to enjoy for breakfast. Hopefully i'll get the chance to return another time.

Everything was Perfect!! The quaint, historic buildings, the courtyard, the view, a peaceful area (looking across the river to Avignon), the breakfast.. all fresh, healthy and great variety. The Host was The Best!!! Amazing!! So kind, friendly and extremely helpful with so many things. He went above and beyond!!

Everything. The breakfast was so simple and delicious. The host couldn’t have been nicer. The place is rustic and charming and I didn’t want to leave. The little town by the Maison was perfection.

It is rustic, be prepared, but the charm was everything. We even cooked one night and it was so fun! ❤️❤️❤️

What a dream! We kept pinching ourselves to make sure we were really there. Everything about Maison Orsini is idyllic - from the charming courtyard covered with flowers and lawn games and the most stunning view of Avignon to the rooms which feel both straight out of the 1300's when it was built but thoughtfully balanced with updates to make it comfort (think well-placed plugs, comfortable beds and doors that don't squeak, plus AIR CONDITIONING!!) to the delicious food (both the breakfast and the dinner fare which they claimed was humble but we found delicious, and finally the pool which felt like it was in a secret garden. We can't WAIT to plan our next trip back.

We liked everything about this place . The location the host the breakfasts were outstanding . After spending 8 nights here we have booked another night for the next part of our journey . We cannot recommend it highly enough the village of Villeneuve is just down the hill and offers many eating shopping options to .
