It's a quaint property with charm in the wonderful little town of Villenueve a short drive from Avignon. This town itself offers a lot to see and has some great restaurants. The staff here is very very friendly and helpful. They recommended great local restaurants and advised us of parking. The common rooms are warm and cosy and the garden is lovely. The free and paid parking is a few blocks away, but not a hard walk. This is a big plus for a hotel on a pedestrian only street.
We needed porter help with our luggage to go up the stone stairs and the petite gal at the desk could not fit the bill. Our room was charming, with a lovely view, but a bit cramped. With no room for luggage, I had to unpack into the closet and dresser and do away with the luggage. We did not take the breakfast for 12 euros since it seemed to consist only of baked goods and coffee and we were spoiled by previous properties. The positives outweigh the negatives on this Atelier.

This is a stunning old Provence style of building with a genius loci beyond description. The location is so beautiful too. If you prefer the slow tourism way, this is the place to be! Just forget about crowded Avignon, Villeneuve is gorgeous, maybe even nicer than Avignon, more quiet and within walking (or few minutes with public transport) distance from Avignon. The hotel is old in the nicest way, you cannot expect a polished Hilton style, which is actually a part of the value, it is clean, with a beautiful old terrace and a superb service. The staff is friendly, welcoming, the breakfast local. I just loved the place so much!

Beautiful rustic hotel with great staff. Provided info about the area on request. The location was fab right in the centre of the village, with some parking available right outside. Bedroom was beautiful, perfect if you want a real French countryside experience. Bed was super comfortable and pillow were great. Good size bathroom with space for storage of your toiletries and towels, shower gel and a vanity set included.
Our only negative was the handheld shower. We love the bathroom but the shower fitting took away from the overall luxury experience we felt we otherwise had as it was awkward to use after a long day of travel. A quick fitting of a hook for it on the wall would have been great.

It was a beautiful hotel in the centre of Villeneuve-les-Avignon, full of character. The staff were very helpful, the continental breakfast was amazing. There was a lounge near the breakfast room, small gardens and a roof terrace. Our room was very comfortable. It was an easy walk into Avignon which was across the river. We are glad we stayed in Villeneuve-les-Avignon so we could benefit from the restaurants and relaxing atmosphere there in addition to visiting Avignon which was far busier.
It was a challenge to get our large suitcases up the winding staircase to our room on the second floor as there was no lift. This room wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues, but other rooms appeared to be more accessible, so best to check with the hotel when booking.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, booking a taxi for us and giving ideas of things to see. Beds are large and comfortable and chandeliers and paintings throughout give it opulence! Free all day drinks and snacks were good. The hotel is set in a great location for exploring the Villeneuve, which is about a 30 min walk from downtown Avignon (10 mins by bus number 5, which goes every half hour).
I thought the outside part would be nicer, but it looked a bit tired, including a rusty bench and we were bothered by mosquitos after a few minutes. It would be good if they could fit a fridge into the rooms. Air conditioning seemed to go for a while and then stop, which meant I had to go and restart it during the night. I had adjusted the fan on it when we arrived, but when I read over the welcome pack later on it says to only press the up down and on/off buttons or it may not function correctly - would be useful if the other buttons were disabled or this info was put next to the A/C.

The perfect combination of modern accommodations with the feel of being taken back in time. The bed was very comfortable (and because of the 40C° weather, we spent a lot of time in it with the AC on in the afternoons). Nearby to excellent restaurants and transportation to Avignon center and far enough away to feel a smaller village. Everyone was a so pleasant and the breakfast was perfect. Couldn’t say more nice things about this hotel. If you read this far then you should definitely stay at the Hotel de L’Atelier.

The breakfasts was very good nice selection good for kids and adults The location is very nice comfortable for a star type vacation when you get around by parking. The hotel does not have private parking but there is free parking near by 5 minutes walk. The town was cute. The staff was very helpful and spoke good English. They arranged bikes for us to rent from the hotel which was great.
There was no air conditioning. They switched to heat mode on October 1st. The hotel is on a main road of a small town so sleeping with windows open was noisy. Also the WiFi barely worked inside the room.

**Hotel Review: L'Hotel De L'Atelier, Avignon** Returning to L'Hotel De L'Atelier for a second stay after seven years, I found the experience as delightful as my first visit. The staff has changed, yet the warm and welcoming atmosphere remains. The hotel offers convenient parking, early access to a well-equipped conference room for early remote work and helpful services like printing train tickets. Our room boasted a beautiful view over the courtyard and rooftops. Despite a short stay, it was memorable, and L'Hotel De L'Atelier remains a top recommendation for anyone visiting Avignon.

A charming building with lovely rooms and outside terraces/places to sit. Very attractive. Staff/owners were very accommodating and attentive. We were lucky enough to find a parking space outside but there is also the option for hotel parking, few minutes walk away. Pretty village with quite a few restaurants although some of them were closed as it was a Monday when we stayed. Near Avignon itself.

Would definitely come here again. 16th century building with lots of "character". Big wood beams. Beautiful chandeliers. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable and helpful. Comfortable lounge areas. Complimentary coffee, tea, water, and snacks in the main lounge.
Seems like a small thing, but the complimentary coffee and hot water were served from vacuum flasks. Tepid as opposed to hot. Perhaps a kettle? Or a microwave?
