The room is spacious and comfortable. The lovely king-size bed was wonderful. The couch and tv are perfect and so too is the balcony with the table setting. The spa was excellent and never any issue with hot water. The place is quiet at night and the curtains on the sliding door block out the morning light. The kitchenette was perfect for having the odd breakfast in the room or keeping snacks for the afternoon siesta! We stayed 4 nights and were offered by the lovely staff to have our room cleaned each day but we declined as we had already been given plenty of towels etc for the stay. The location was fantastic as we could park the car and leave it there for our duration and walk up and down the main street to everything.

The bed is lovely but for us, a firm mattress is better. This mattress is found all over Europe but we have found for our needs and body aches and pains the firmer is better support. Also, just to let people know the car park is tight but we had no problems as both arriving and departing there was only one other car so we could move into the area. After reading all the wonderful comments I was looking forward to the view of the stream on the balcony, however we had the end apartment so our view was the carpark. We also during one day had two dogs incessantly barking in the park next door which led us to going out for cake and coffee.

Our room was sublime. We had a loft room and were upgraded. The room was 2 bedroom with open plan kitchenette, dining table and lounge area with a balcony off one of the bedrooms. The bathroom had a spa bath, and there was off street parking too. So much space, great layout and so handy to be able to use the kitchenette at times. The location was perfect - central so we could walk up and down the street and all of Hahndorf’s delightful bars, cafes, restaurants and shops were around us, either at the doorstep or a couple minutes walking distance away. Communication from Sophie and the Team was impeccable - kind, prompt, helpful and friendly. We had such a wonderful stay - it really enhanced our experience in Hahndorf. I would recommend this place in a heart beat and likely to stay again in future. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

We arrived on 27th Dec & stayed for 4 days. Obviously, it was peak tourism time, so we very much appreciated the on-site, off-street, safe parking available at the motel. The motel itself is perfectly placed in the middle of the busy Main Street strip - we had the luxury of exploring all the novelty stores, cafes, and restaurants with ease. It is also less than 20 minutes from Mt Barker, which has a big shopping plaza of you need a few extra things. I liaised with Sophie before, during, and after our stay - she is wonderful! She provided helpful advice and general support throughout our entire stay. The room was fit for purpose - clean, mini kitchenette (mini fridge/microwave), huge, comfortable bed, and generous size bathroom. The motel has its own breakout area with water features and picnic tables/chairs. I think the price was reasonable considering the time of year, location, motel grounds, and general amenities of the room.

The room (loft room) was HUGE: we had tons of space in which to stay! Not only was it very comfortable, it had a great outdoor verandah which overlooked a cute little creek. It was SO relaxing to just sit outside with a glass of wine listening to the babbling of the creek, the resident ducks and frogs...medicine for the soul! As a bonus, our host Sophie was very friendly and obliging. Oh, and did I mention the excellent location on the main street of Hahndorf? Easy walking distance to everything!

I'm being REALLY nitpicky here...car parking can be a little tricky...there is not much space and you have to be careful in the undercover car park as there are columns that can bite!

Centrally located right on the Main Street. Lovely large room in the loft king room, modern and sparkling clean with back facing balcony perfect for a morning coffee amongst the trees and birds. Large spa bath although we didn’t use it. Awesome water pressure!! Kitchenette either basic amenities.

There really isn’t anything major except I wish motels/hotels would provide bathroom sinks with space for your toiletries. Decorative sinks don’t work for this lol! Fridge could use a freezer that actually freezes :(. But that’s really fishing for something to improve!

I expected a bedroom and bathroom, we got a large kitchen, large bathroom with spa bath - excellent

Check in worked because we called early to leave our bags. (Luckily someone was around and we were able to pick up the key) I believe it is normally done through a text message. However because we were travelling from England we couldn't receive texts., so messages were sent via Booking.com on email, again we couldn't access the email without a wifi signal. Luckily there was a free Wifi nearby which we logged onto to find the information. The other issue was that the free Wifi only worked in the bathroom!

The location is a big winner at this motel situated right in the middle of the towns main street. Very easy walking distance the many cafes, hotels and various restaurants. It has an ice cream and waffle parlour right at the motels entrance. Nice and tidy room with a nice comfortable bed and very quiet at night with the room being off the street a few metres . Friendly staff to help you to check in and point you in the right direction.

The ensuite had some small issues even though it was large in size. The shower is over the top of the spa bath which is a bit tricky to get into because of its large step to get over, which is also is very slippery after you've finished and getting out can be a little hazardous. This is clearly displayed on the warning sign on the wall. The hot water takes ages to get to temperature but has good shower head , No face washer in here either. The TV had weird sound and a funny reception at times Also the walls were a little thin and could hear toilet flushing and voices in the next room. Limited parking spots as well so get there early and park the car just in case some non hotel guests steal it first. Parking is premium in this busy town

Motel is very central off main road, with plenty of parking. We could walk all over Hahndorf, didn't need the car. Couldn't really hear the traffic noise as motel is back from the road. Sophie was fabulous, she checked with us each day to see if we needed anything - fresh towels, etc. Room & bathroom were extremely clean, thanks to Sophie & her team. Check-in instructions from Sophie were very clear & easy to follow, so we were able to access our room key after hours. Would definitely stay here again!

We didn't like how thin the walls were between rooms. We were kept awake by people in the next room snoring, talking & watching TV. This included rooms on both sides of us.

Easy walking distance to a vast array of shopping and eateries in this historic German town. The rooms were well appointed and staff helpful. There was also very little street noise, which was surprising considering how close we were to the main road.

Unfortunately there was no way to fill the kettle except by glasses of water from the bathroom as the kettle did not fit under the tap. We felt that this was a bit disappointing, but also realise it is a design fault and cannot be fixed easily.

Fantastic location right in the middle of town. Room had all the basics and was clean and spacious. Hosts checked each day we had everything and if we needed anything. Room was warm enough on the cool nights to not need the heating. Plenty of tea, coffee & milk supplied. Would stay again though.

Walls were thin meaning you could hear any loud noises from neighbouring rooms and (personal preference) bed was a little too firm for me.
