Excellent location, comfortable quiet room. The Staff (in general) are friendly. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have experienced. Excellent Bar upstairs (Hennessey's) for a pre-dinner drink. Would stay at the Mayfair again.

Carpets are very dirty and stained. With a bit of effort this Hotel could be excellent but the dirty state of the carpet lets it down. Also the communication between departments could be better. For example, we were wanting to dine in the fine dining restaurant, Mayflower, which is downstairs below the Reception area. We were told by Reception to go down and make a booking for dinner. When we went down, we were told (quite abruptly) that the restaurant was closed for a Month!! When we asked why the Reception staff hadn't told us this, the guy at the restaurant said "We've told them but they don't listen"!! Not very professional.

Good central city location with Haigh’s Chocolates across the road and Rundle Mall for good shopping opportunities. Tram stop outside the hotel and busses around the corner. Check in staff were polite and efficient. Nice breakfast. Spacious room with an extra seating area and tv. Nice toiletries. We appreciated the coffee machine.

A poorly positioned work desk made accessing the power sockets difficult. The other sockets near the bed were difficult to access. One day our room was not serviced and upon contacting Reception, was told we had to request room services. A chambermaid was sent up. Not much of a genuine apology received. Carpet is grubby.

Overall a lovely experience as always, however the hotel is starting to show it's age with some wear and tear and stains. I know the beds are very soft and enjoy this, and the pillows were good too. A shame the pillow menu is turned off on the in room tablet however. The complimentary mini bar is always nice, but was surprised this is now a once off, rather then replenished each day.

Our stay included Friday and Saturday nights and despite being towards the back / side of the hotel (912) there was still significant noise audible after 11pm both nights. All of the windows need a good thorough clean, along with the carpet and bathroom tiles. The in room tablet wasn't working and room service etc had to be called through. I struggled to find, and found it a bit odd that the tissues, extra towels, and bathroom amenities were stored in the wardrobe in the room, rather than the bathroom.

We loved the location superb could not be any better to reach everything within walking distance, lovely friend welcoming warm staff, room also beautiful spacious and new felt like it had been renovated recently. We also liked the rooftop bar area with views across the City and the breakfast each day was delicious - thank you!

Nothing really, I guess the only thing maybe in future if they wanted to install a sauna spa area for business guests who want to relax perhaps a Hot tub or spa sauna area or holidaymakers who have travelled long haul.

Although staff are friendly and seem engaged they are somewhat preoccupied On arrival spoke the the guy about changing our booking at Hennesys twice, he forgot! Then on leaving asked the girl for a taxi she said no problem and would let us know when it arrived, sat in the foyer for ages then I approached her, the taxi had been waiting outside for a while, she forgot!!!Attention to detail regarding cleaning and stains carpet in hallway stained wouldn’t take much to spot clean a good hovering was also needed marks on walls a lot would come off with stain remover!

Good location - the room was very spacious, with a separate TV and desk area, and the bed and Manchester were exceptional. The minibar was well-stocked, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Parking was just an easy 100-metre walk away in Wilson's car park. However, even though the distance was short, the walk passed by some questionable characters and establishments. This could feel a bit unsafe for some, particularly if returning late at night.- important to note that valet parking is available, which would remove this experience and that it was well policed.

Comfortable, clean, very well located hotel in the centre of the CBD, short walk to Adelaide Oval for the Cricket and the Botanic Gardens for the Chihuly exhibition. . Rooftop bar had a number of cosy nooks and a couple of larger spaces. Took advantage of an exceptional summer getaway offer at around $AU200 per night and was upgraded to an Executive suite for our Anniversary as well! Great couple of nights there!!

The highly rated Mayflower Restaurant where we had looked forward to enjoying an Anniversary Dinner was unable or unwilling to change any of their four (4) entrees or four (4) main courses to meet my dietary requirements. Just returned from three weeks in Sri Lanka and Malaysia and every hotel and resort went out of their way to adapt something from their menu for me. Extremely disappointed with the response from the manager of the three food and beverage sites at the Mayfair!!

First room we were given had stains all over the top sheet over the quilt. Pretty obvious as soon as you walked in and not something you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Carpets also look like they need a refresh now. Have stayed in this hotel many times and whilst lovely, looks like it needs a good refresh including broken tiles in the lift. (Staff were very accommodating and upgraded us to another room without any fuss which we appreciated)

the room was very spacious and warm - we were there for Adelaide's coldest July day on record. the location is perfect. Right in the heart of the city. Close to everything. We walked t the Zoo, the Stadium and out for dinner every night and all brilliant.

Be wary if you drive your own vehicle. There is no Hotel parking. You must either park in a public carpark or use the Valet parking @ $50 per night and they park off sight. You have to give them half an hour notice and book in advance.  They also had no choice of pillows and I ended up with a sore neck.

Location is ideal if want to stay in city centre, transport around the hotel is excellent. Room Is very quiet although in city centre, even in lower level. Eating venues within the hotel are very nice too. Happy with the Den, nice atmosphere and not over expensive. Breakfast is fine, choice of foood is within normal range, nothing of extra good quality.

Choice of breakfast food can be improved. Staff can offer more comprehensive information during check in, eg, if breakfast is included, can explain location of breakfast venue . Seems the staff are only doing the basics without offering extra support.
