Excellent refurbished hotel with spacious, modern rooms. Simple, elegant furnishing in the room. Nice grey sofa in the suite. Large screen Philips TVs and Japanese air conditioning. The staff service from reception is what makes this hotel, however, not just the nice new facilities. There were some issues with my room but each staff member resolved the situation in a timely and profressional manner. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in my vacation and making my stay better. Truly superb.

Soundproofing is not the best but still better than a lot of city hotels...

Will definitely stay again. Location was wonderful. Passages clean and bright paintwork. The fire was welcome - the ground floor has such a lovely, intimate feel almost like a guest house. Staff at restaurant were friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the French vibe. Umbrellas from ceiling a lovely touch of whimsy. Pool was too cold to use but appreciated the spa. Parking system was easy. Surprised to find the laundry - thoughtful space. Thrilled to see our old friend Ronald Adam's prints on the walls. We'll be back! Well done. Will happily recommend to friends and family and take up the romance package!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic hotel, and I couldn't be more impressed! The location was absolutely excellent, within walking distance to all the major attractions. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and all the amenities I needed. But what really made my stay stand out was the exceptional staff. Every single person I interacted with was helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay special.

Really nothing negative to say about the hotel.

The property was extremely clean and very close to Rundle Mall and other attractions in Adelaide. Room looked like the pictures on website so we didn’t get any surprises. Loved the late night pizzas. Staff were amazing and mega friendly and helpful. Added bonus by having a little laundromat on site for a very small cost. Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Wish I had a microwave and the room service menu was a ok wish it had more simple food.

We arrived around 8:30pm at The Chancellor hotel the day before Good Friday 2025. The check-in was very smooth, the hotel had kept the keys and check-in formalities ready. Interestingly, they have a small 3-4 car parking strip (more like a drop off zone) right in front of their side entrance on Gilbert Pl to park your car for a few mins, while you unload your luggage and get the paid parking voucher from them for the Wilson parking 5 mins walk from the hotel. Such a boon for guests. The room was great, quite spacious given it was located in the CBD, modern décor, good lighting, modern clean toilets with plenty of towels, toiletries and a hair dryer. The carpet of the room looked new and freshly cleaned, the study desk and a chair, 2 single-seater chairs with a small table, a mini-fridge and plenty of tea/coffee /sugar sachets (refilled everyday) with an electric kettle. The beds had crisp clean linen, the pillows were great, and the bed was super comfy! Loved every aspect of the room, especially the fact that it was 1 street off Hindley St and 5 mins walk to Rundle St malls, in short bang in the centre of the happening part of city! The hotel also had a barista for coffee, restaurant cum bar which served breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks. There were some great pubs next to the hotel at the end of Gilbert Pl, 50m from the hotel. Don't worry, the sound proofing was amazing. The customer service of the Reception staff was very good. Another interesting point which was also a life-saver for us – The hotel has a late-night pizza menu in-service only for the hotel guests which was great as our Kangaroo Island trip finished after 11pm and most decent restaurants were closed by then (except the fast food chains like McD or Hungry J) and this was the only was of getting some food without going out that late at night. Overall, a great hotel, definitely value for money and will recommend others to stay here, will stay again if I am visiting Adelaide.

Adding a microwave in the rooms can be a big benefit to the guests who have certain restrictions or certain medical conditions, they can purchase their food, store it in the mini-fridge and reheat at their comfort and as per their needs.

The receptionists was really helpful. They assisted us in storing our luggage while we roam around since we got there early prior check-in. The room was spacious and clean. The bed is comfy, and the bathroom is clean as well. The coffee tastes great. And the cleaners were helpful and polite. The location is great for roaming around Adelaide CBD. I would book here again.

There was no toothbrush provided. There is no bidet as well, but I think that's just a culture thing.

This is a great place to stay. Its located walking distance to most things across the city, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The On Site Breakfast was fantastic and the coffee excellent. We drove and the arrangement with Wilson parking just the next block over was perfect and very convenient.

I am hard pressed to mentioned anything negative. I would say they the drop off parking in front it limited to I think 15 - 20mins but it appears that some cars are there longer making it difficult to park to check in and out but this was not a big problem.

The staff had turned on the aircon in our room just before we arrived which was excellent as it was hot day. When we made into the room it was cool and pleasant. The bed was firm and the pillows so comfortable. We were closed to the main road but you could not hear the traffic. The blockout blinds were so handy for when we wanted to sleep-in in the morning. Would highly recommend to others.

The address says Curry street but the entrance is on the side street (which name I can't remember), they should mentioned the side street so the taxi/uber can safely drop you off away from a main road.

Fantastic location, walking distance to everything! Friendly staff. Lovely and clean renovated rooms. Decent sized rooms. Loved the large shower with the option of 2 shower heads. Very reasonable price. This will be my place to stay in Adelaide from now on.

Everything was perfect 👌 Just a note about parking though, I did not use their parking in Hindley Street after reading reviews about it. I instead parked at UPark Topham on Waymouth Street for $14 a night (pre-booked online) and it was excellent and very close by. It does close overnight though, so will not be useful if you want to enter late or leave early. I think it closes 12am until 6am.

Shower was awesome, could some please let me know brand and style so we can purchase for home. Bed was the best of 3 in the last 2 weeks. The steaming to tv for the kids is the easiest i have ever used. We have even stayed at crown in Melbourne multiply times and yours to better. Very thing was close by walked everywhere within 20ins

not sure the kids would agree with the beds the pull out from the couch wasn’t so good. Very low. The snails needed a bit more garlic, my partner says and he’s from Germany so had them before. Lift is bit shonky. Your can’t do anything about it but the view is terrible but the price outweighs it. And we only wanted the hotel room for sleeping, so the lack of view didn’t bother me.
