The most beautiful hotel we have stayed at in a long time. The decor, the cleanliness, the staff and comfort at this hotel is 10/10. The gym was fantastic too, best in Australia that I have personally used in a hotel.

The "heated pool" is not really heated and the fact that although the pool is indoor the windows are full open so all the wind and cold comes in which makes it freezing. No on site parking, have to walk 5 mins to their designated parking for self park or valet can do it for you

The push button lights in the room need written instructions on how to use them. We found them very confusing

Professional and friendly staff, always available and helpful. Room was clean, with a spacious bathroom and shower.

The experience didn’t quite meet a true 5-star standard by international comparison. Shower pressure was weak, mattress too firm, and pillows bulky but not comfortable. Door handles in the bathroom were oddly small from the inside. A loud function on level 1 and ground floor made it hard to relax, and the minibar was disappointing with minimal complimentary items. The indoor swimming pool is technically indoors but has open windows, making it unusable during winter or colder seasons.

We booked the two bedroom apartment, which was effectively two adjoining rooms with a small foyer that you could lock off. We were provided with door stops to keep each room open so it became like one. As we were travelling with our two young children this worked well. Rooms were beautiful and well thought out. Lovely view of Victoria square. Rooms were very soundproof. Free overnight parking only a short walk away. Lovely staff.

Unfortunately the bath in one of the rooms, which looked very inviting, did not have very warm water. We also were unable to change the thermostat and it was a little warm in the room overnight. Breakfast was okay, but the pictures on the website are exaggerated. The pool looks like it is indoor but technically it is undercover with open windows, not as warm as it could have been.

The hotel was opened around August last year. It’s in a superb CBD location, very central and walking distance to Rundle Mall, Chinatown, Victoria Square and the Central Market. The guest room is spacious, clean, comfortable with very quiet airconditioning. Plenty of room lights and power points for charging. Large and functional bathroom with a two way wardrobe…clever practical design. The lobby has separate areas for working and socialising… the lobby bar area was great for a quiet coffee or relaxing drink after a day out. The foyer Penny Blue restaurant double up as the breakfast venue… we had a romantic sumptuous dinner there and breakfast was delicious… large buffet selection and a big special ‘thank you’ to Raj, the Breakfast Manager, who was very friendly and helpful… Raj made our stay very special and memorable. Other staff were also very polite and obliging. The gym was well equipped. We have been attending the Tour Down Under for over twelve years now and the Adelaide Marriott is by far the best hotel in Adelaide… it’s like a home away from home. We can’t wait to return next year. Overall, we had a most memorable, enjoyable stay at the Adelaide Marriott.

Nothing……..

Location was faultless as it’s close to many good restaurants. Unfortunately being a public holiday there were few trading on the day we stayed. But that was more our problem & nothing to do with the hotel. We had a lovely swim in the hotel pool with virtually no one else there.

Reception was a little slow even when there was actually none booking in except us. But they did accommodate our early checkin so that was great, and even up got an upgrade on our room to a corner suite which was lovely. We were disappointed that all of the heritage parts of the hotel are not yet finished, as we would have loved to see them.

Breakfast had lots of choice and is in a palatial room. No crowding as various stations for food types - fruit, cheese and meat, egg ordering, hot food, cereals and bakery items. 2 coffee stations. I loved the 2-way wardrobe - doors opening in the bedroom and other doors in the bathroom. This turns the bathroom into a bathroom/dressing room but with dry neat clothes! Fantastic location. Within walking distance of everywhere. For those who prefer not to walk, the tram stop is 2 min walk. Plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby.

I had such a wonderful stay! The staff were absolutely fantastic – warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their attention to detail and genuine friendliness made the experience feel extra special. The room was spotless, beautifully presented, and so comfortable, with everything I could have hoped for. It really felt like a home away from home. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly and will definitely be coming back!

There was nothing

Breakfast was delicious, fresh produce, presentation excellent, plentiful choices, staff were attentive and pleasant.

Had problems with the plumbing in our room. Noises from the bathroom (toilet). Spoke to reception who offered another room but decided to stay. Unfortunately, was woken with the noise around 2am. Did mention it again when we checked out. Am aware that the hotel had only opened 2 weeks prior so realise there would be teething problems:)
