Great central location only a few minutes’ walk to the interstate bus, and an easy walk to the North Terrace galleries and Botanic Gardens.The Central Market on the next block is also a must-visit. Friendly, helpful staff, clean and comfortable accomodation, and great pricing.

Excellent value. Great, spacious common areas and kitchen which were accessible 24 hours. The book exchange shelf was a nice feature. Spacious rooms and good privacy with bed curtains. Enjoyed the walking tour on my first day as a way to get to know the city and meet people.

Could do with bedside plug sockets. Temperature in the room kept changing. Sometimes the air con was on and super strong (the vent was right above my head on the top bunk which was uncomfortable) but sometimes it was off and super hot and we had no control over it. The fan in the room also stopped working at one point. Laundry was very expensive (double the price of most hostels)!

Location is perfect. Very central and close to many hot spots. Gated parking is a short walk away for a very good price considering its central location. Bed and sheets were comfy. Facilities were well equipped and I can't praise the staff enough - they were super helpful, friendly and cheery. Definitely makes a gal feel welcome.

Air con was a bit of a pain as is not room-controlled and you had to go to Reception to request it off or on. Still good to have it available though. You had to make your own bed and also strip it upon departure. It wasn't a great way to end a day after 8-hours of driving, but I guess it helps keep labour down and in turn, keep the prices that we pay for the beds affordable :)

I stayed at YHA Adelaide Central for the first time. The location is perfect—centrally located and very convenient for exploring the city. I stayed in a 4-bed male shared room. The room and storage area were clean, and the shared male washroom was accessible to everyone on the same floor. Unfortunately, the bathroom area was not clean and appeared poorly maintained. Cleanliness and upkeep in the bathroom definitely need improvement. On a positive note, the staff was very cooperative and helpful, which made the stay more comfortable.

The cleanliness of the rooms was phenomenal and bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean! Really spacious kitchen facilities, and it was fully equipped with everything you need to cook a decent feed! Free WiFi throughout was a bonus, and the air conditioning in the rooms was fantastic. Was great to see many different bins for general waste / organic waste and recyclables. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area. It was great to have separate quiet rooms to relax/study/chill out in! Thanks heaps!

Nothing really, maybe some more fridge space would be great? This was a fantastic place to stay, one of, if not the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at in Australia! Highly recommended!

Reception was very welcoming with friendly, engaging staff and Check in was smooth and quick. I felt safe staying there and liked the extra security measures like needing to swipe your card to gain entry to the shared bathroom facilities - bonus points for having separate male and female showers. I especially liked that they had reserved parking for $15 a night and could see my car from the room 😆😁 The bed was very comfortable and the room had air-conditioning and a fan. Common area was very clean and organised and had that family feel to it There was a pool table and table tennis as well. Felt at home very much. As well as a fully equipped kitchen with heaps of storage, they also had a well stocked vending machine. Also within easy walking distance to Rundle Mall. Will stay here again.

The living-room and kitchen are amazing, probably the best I've ever seen at a hostel (and I've been to a lot!)

The showers were out of service when I went, you have to make your own bed (come on guys, I'm already paying for my nights, preparing the beds is on you, not on the guests!!), staff was quite unpleasant (not with me but I overheard several conversations while hanging out in the reception area). The bunk beds are very old and partly broken, they should really invest and get new ones.

Great hostel with great facilities. Good and easy laundry service, easy check in, private car park just around the corner, the guy at the reception gave us lots of tips about what to see and where to go. Adelaide central market was great and within 5 mins walk from the hostel. The room was good, clean. Shower was good. Free pancakes in the morning or breakfast for $12 wes available from 7am which was great and made it easier for us travelling with young children. We got food delivered for dinner through uber eats.

Everything was great

The hostel is walking distance to Central Market and Chinatown, where are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. Furthermore, it is also close to Rundle Mall and State Library of South Australia. What's more, the bed was comfy and the shower (water pressure) was good. The kitchen was wonderful , which also provided hot water and cold water 24/7. We stayed at a 4 beds dorm that had plenty of space to put our belongings. Windows were big so that the room was bright and comfortable even without turning on the air-condition. Also, the room was quiet so that we had very good sleep at night. The car park was just ext to the hostel, which was very convenient. YHA Adelaide Central is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed.

Compared to other YHA this was the most expensive, $8 for a load of washing is a little pricey. Bed was comfortable staff were friendly. Could improve by having possibly having motion lights that go on and off, instead of permanently having the hall way light on as it comes through the door and is very bright.. Maybe giving you each one little soap bar, not having one between 2 people.. kitchens clean, bathrooms clean— good location near some bars and restaurants short walk go the oval. Nice stay overall,
