This was the second time we’ve stayed here. It is in a great location, close to the city centre, but directly adjacent the river and parklands, which makes it feel like you are out in the country-side. Grand old building, with a beautiful verandah overlooking the river, on which you can have a meal or drinks. Very nice Buffet breakfast available.m

The property is looking a bit tired….. could do with a repaint and some of the fittings are worn (shower head kept falling off, really old hair dryer, etc).

We liked the hotel architecture and how it's placed in the park. We were with kids and they found playground near by very attractive. Actually whole area is very nice. Accomodation was nice, but nothing superb. Probably furniture will need renovation or replacement in near future.

Breakfast was so so but acceptable. Breakfast coffee was terrible. Hotel should buy proper coffee machine with grinder and use coffee beans. The machine used for breakfast just uses instant coffee. WiFi is ok, but needs time limiter vouchers, during checkin stuff give you those vouchers, but please is 2024 I expect to just use the WiFi, maybe just click accept terms and conditions. We had bath tub with jacuzzi functions, but those apparently not worked.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location, on the Korana river. The park and overall nature around the park is truly wonderful. The Aquarium is close-by. The Foginovo beach is 5 min from the hotel. The hotel itself is traditional. It used to be a small castle that was turned into a hotel. It was restored in 2003, which means that it is showing some signs of wear. We were given the Lily room. The room was big and spacious. The bed was comfortable, although the bed and chairs in the room are showing some signs of wear (torn chair covers for instance). The bathroom was big, clean and even had a bidet. The hotel staff were polite and accommodating, albeit the lady at the Reception seemed confused and unsure how to handle a situation at times. The hotel terrace is beautiful. Lastly, keep in mind that the hotel is an approximately 15 min walk from the center (during the summer it gets really hot).

We were charged 8 EUR for parking at the hotel, even though we arrived by train and were not even using a car, let alone parking at the hotel. We did clear up this mix up at the Reception and we got our money back, but I would suggest the staff check if guests are using the hotel parking lot before adding this charge to the invoice. The toilet in our room could only be flushed with the big button (the small one doesn't work). The pool in the hotel wasn't opened when we stayed and there was no info about that on Booking.com Lastly, the breakfast (included in the room stay) was relatively poor for a 4* hotel. The eggs were cold (we ate breakfast at 8:15 a.m., so not late at all), there wasn't much choice of foods or beverages.

This is a pleasant family-run hotel located next to a park and a riverside leisure area: very convenient if traveling with a dog. Parking is free and is in the area in front of the hotel. My room was spacious. I had a good dinner in the restaurant. I’ve stayed here before and will continue to do so when I have an overnight stopover in the area.

Great location in parklands right by the river, lovely old world vibe, very nice staff who were happy to check us in early, and massive sunny verandah that was perfect for breakfast. We didn't come by car but loads of parking if you do, and only a few minutes ride from bus and train stations and the town centre.

Some facilities unsuitable for people with mobility issues, e.g. a shower-bath instead of separate shower, and a pool with only a rickety ladder into the water. On the other hand, there was a ramp as well as stairs to the hotel entrance, and a decent elevator.

Interesting building set on river with park land surrounding . Comfortable if dated decor style with dining room available till 21.00 . Menu limited but very well cooked and presented.Breakfast was also very good. Ample free parking. Easily accessed from motorway and perfect for one night stop over if travelling. Staff friendly and efficient reception and serving dining room .

Don't think there was a kettle in room Shower into bath not ideal for everyone. Bath difficult to get out of as Bath handle too far back But lovely hot water and toiletries.

Nice location near the lake. Staff were very friendly, we had a pool for ourselves. The pool and sauna is a little bit dated, but it was ok for a quick swim.

Breakfast was very plain and there was not enaugh food. There was many different salami for example but just a few pieces and staff didn’t bring them quick enaugh.

The hotel is in a quiet park next to the river, so very quiet from the outside. Within walking distance to the centre of Karlovac.

The minibar was built into the room fittings and couldn't be turned off or unplugged. It made a humming noise every 20 minutes or so when it switched on. I had to wear ear plugs.

Once again I found the right hotel via BookingCom ! I was going to visit the Karlovac and this hotel seemed to be the rigt one - a little outside the town - in wonderful surroundings. The staff was very nice - welcoming you like an old friend - and next morning I had a very fine breakfast even if I was the only or one of the few guests - November maybe was not the best time to come :-)

I would have liked to spend more days in Hotel Korona ! - but I had to go back home.

Great location in the park beside a river. A sense of Olde Worlde, with the feeling of the Habsburg past, if you like that sort of thing. Amazingly large dining room with big tables and quality furniture, plus a wide terrace with a view over the bathing lake created by a weir. Extremely quiet and relaxing. The staff were all friendly and efficient; we were well looked after!

The hotel pool was quirky and really needs updating; the wellness area seems to be unused. Breakfast was fine but not inspirational.
