The castle itself (where breakfast is served) is really great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and the location is secluded and quiet. Breakfast was very good. Eggs made to order. Fresh pancakes were served on one day and then fresh crepes the next. At the price, I think it is really good value. There is also a restaurant in the castle which I would highly reccommend. They serve a 3 course menu starting at €38 in a luxury setting and matching quality of food and service. It makes for a special night out, in a castle! Excellent value.

We prefer firmer mattresses. There were some other minor niggles in the room but the staff were quick to respond and offered us a new room without argument.

We stayed at Mokrice Castle Estate for one night and were impressed by the grandeur of the estate and the spaciousness of our room. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, both in person and through the Booking.com app, making our check-in process smooth and welcoming even when checking in after midnight. A beautiful estate with great potential, but the breakfast experience needs significant improvement.

The breakfast was a complete letdown. The offerings were disappointing, with low-quality supermarket brands and no proper scrambled eggs, just a sad half-omelet. In a 4-star hotel, they should serve proper coffee individually, not a poor quality substandard one from an ugly coffee machine that spoils the whole castle restaurant feeling. The staff member at breakfast seemed grumpy, which added to our overall disappointment.

Mokrice Castle is so wonderful and dreamy. It's basically in a forest, surrounded by a golf course. There's no traffic and very little light pollution. My bf and I loved our room, it was very comfortable. The staff were exceptional, extremely welcoming and friendly. We had dinner in their restaurant 1444, and the food (and wine!) and service were just amazing. This was without doubt one of the most romantic places we've ever stayed at, we highly recommend it for couples looking for a little getaway.

The castle is lovely, breakfast is good, the staff is very helpful and the location is very connected, the rooms are amazing. The chilren had a blast enjoying the grass areas

Sadly, the cleaning was not the best... it was clean, but a few things were missed, like food in the fridge from previous guests. Also, I suggest that you book the rooms with AC if there is a chance of hot weather.

We stayed here for one night during our trip and were very pleased with the experience. The hotel has a large and beautiful territory, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant located in the castle served very tasty food. There are also golf fields next to the castle, which create a nice atmosphere. A great place to rest and relax.

Hotel itself, hotel territory, it is real historical place. We lived in a great & comfortable family room, personnel was friendly and ready to help with any requests. There is wonderful atmosphere around. The restaurant is superb! I really recommend to visit this place!

While our stay it was just a few people and breakfast was a bit modest, but still we were able to find everything we needed and we truly enjoyed the restaurant itself! It was a breakfast in a castle :)

Beautiful ambience and atmosphere. The room delighted us, the beautiful wallpaper on the wall gives the feeling as if you have stepped into the past. Neat and clean, the bathroom is spacious and bright. The receptionist and waiter delighted us with his knowledge of the history, myths and legends of the castle, as well as interesting facts about the surrounding towns. We will definitely visit this wonderful place again.

Amazing! We came too late to be able to go to the restaurant, but next time we will not miss it. Worth coming for more that just a night. Tips: breakfast must be ordered in advance; the restaurant closes at 8 pm; weekends are full because of weddings, therefore consider coming on a weekday. Do not miss! It is lovely!

We spent one night in the castle on our way to Austria- next time we will make sure to enjoy this amazing place for longer. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable. We had everything we needed, and the staff is simply amazing, very kind and professional attitude.

Breakfast could be better. Perhaps eggs or something freshly cooked could enrich the breakfast experience.

Very nice hotel, 5 minutes from the highway, quiet and peaceful place in nature. Although we were a little late, the woman at the reception was waiting for us and welcomed us very kindly. The rooms are big and very clean. A peaceful place to spend the night and take a walk. I recommend. The only recommendation is to put coffee in the room.
